Time flew and it was almost 8pm. She was so busy at her work, that she didn't even take a tea break. Suddenly, she heard some sound around and got to her senses. Divya stepped outside her cabin to find out that it was only her back at the office.
"How wonderful! It's only me left behind and that too on my first day. Does anybody care about me? Ten floored building with a twenty year old girl and maybe a security outside. Strange."
Divya took her phone to inform her mother that how fussed she is in the first day. She wanted to complain about how the CEO treated her but saved it for later.
She heard the same sound again and went to find out where it was from. She saw a small light in the CEO's cabin and tried to get a glimpse through the glass door. Dhruv was still inside going through his laptop. She felt whole damn zoo inside her stomach seeing whom she was left with in the office.
She rushed back to her cabin and power went off. She hit on a chair and stopped running. She took her mobile and switched on the torch light.
"Okay, so even such a company can have a power cut. Thats new to my knowledge. Don't they have invertors?"
She heard someone screaming at the top of their voice for help and got scared. "Is this office haunted or something. Nothing is positive around here and now I feel, I am going to be eaten by some office staff who died here due to overtime work with no food." Divya was scared actually that she talked so much to herself to hide the fear.
She decided to check where she heard the sound from. She shouted back, " Is anybody in here" to every room she passed by. Atlast she found out, that the voice was frm none other than her grumpy boss's cabin. She didn't know whether to knock on the door or run straight inside to check on him but the issues have already made her day bad that she knocked on the door.
"Someone please switch on the lights. Is there anyone here? Please help me out of here." :- Dhruv was crying for help. That melted her heart and she pushed open the door.
She saw him lying on the floor in a foetus shape crying for help. She reached out to him and held his hand. The next thing she knew was, Dhruv hugged her tight and she is losing her breath. She went numb as she is finally getting a hug from her dream man. She got lost into her dreamworld but he pulled her hand and she regained her senses.
"Please get me out of here. I get panic attacks in dark. I am feeling so suffocated." :- He cried while still hugging her tightly.
"Sir, its fine. I am here, you are not alone. I will get you out of here. Let me put on the emergency lamp." She tried to reach out to the lamp on the table but he didnt let her move an inch. She was held tight like how a small kid will hold on to his chocolates.
"Sir, please get up only then we can go out of here. It is going to be fine." She helped him up and took him out of his cabin with great difficulty. They came out of the office while they found their security was busy fixing the generator. Dhruv was not in a situation to question about the power cut so he decided to leave.
"Thankyou for the help." He said in such a low voice, that she had to figure it out by his lip moves.
Divya rushed inside to fetch her bag as she couldn't stay alone at night with no power supply. When she came back, she found Dhruv driving off leaving her behind. She felt so angry because at 9pm she was left alone without any help. She decided to get a rickshaw.
A car stopped next to her and she turned away to not get hit by it. The glass slid in and she saw Dhruv inside which almost fainted her.
"Get in, I will drop you. It's late for you to be outside." :- he said with his eyes stuck on the road ahead.
"It's fine sir. I will get a cab. Thankyou." :- she rejected his offer politely and walked ahead.
The next moment, the car stopped right in front of her again and he jumped out of the car. She was scared to death because Dhruv is so short tempered that he would kill her for rejecting his offer. But nothing as such happened. He pulled her hands and opened the door for her.
She sat in the seat without saying a word while he drove off. On way, she asked him why he is afraid of darkness and he didn't answer to it, instead asked about Divya's family. He talked non-stop but was into points that she didn't find him friendly at all. He dropped her off at her appartment and left.
"Why are you so serious, CEO?" She asked herself and walked inside. She was happy to see the other side of her boss. The soft and vulnerable side of her grumpy boss.
She ran upstairs and rang the bell. Time was almost 10pm and she was so hungry. Her mother opened the door and she walked in straight to the dining table. The food was cold but she didnt have the patience to heat it and hence ate the food just like that.
"Divya, why are you so late? You didn't even wash your hands. Are you a small kid?" Her mother kept on complaining but she didnt have the patience to respond to them. She ate the food quickly and slipped into her room. Her mother was shouting from the other room asking her to take a shower.
She was literally dragging herself to bed and hence refused to take the bath. She jumped onto her bed, plugged in her earphone and kept her favourite music. She couldnt stop thinking about the day and how she finally get to talk to her dream man.
A tall, fair guy with a fit body. Black wavy hair which was on his right eyes almost every time. He wore suits everyday to office which gave him the perfect gentleman look. She drooled over him since the past two years but never got to meet him.
She felt so happy that he hugged her when he was in panic and how he pulled her into the car. At the same time, she was proud of herself that she saved him from that situation and the way he said thankyou to her. She dozzed off to sleep while thinking about him.
