Han Lan sat in one of the private booths of a café facing Yu Sa, Bei Nai, Xiao Jing and Mu Yan.
The guys all wore apologetic faces especially the elder ones Nai and Sa because they let the whole issue grow and fester.
They were regretting going along with Min's decision of not telling the important aspect of her previous life after she came out of coma or even before she started dating Nam.
Now the situation had degraded to an extent where they couldn't even meet eyes with their favourite girl.
Lan frowned looking at the quartet, "You guys forcibly dragged me here to quietly stare at various corners?"
"No sister Lan", Mu Yan quickly tried to clear the air, "We didn't even know what happened a week ago until yesterday", He hung his head low and said softly, "We felt really sorry and extremely terrible after learning about it."
"Moreover, we were extremely worried about you." Xiao Jing nodded and continued when Yan had left off.
"I feel fine... for now." Lan smiled faintly, "But I'm honestly pissed at all of you. Everything feels completely messed up, it's a miracle that I could sort my thoughts enough to meet you guys here today."
Bei Nai sighed, "Lan, we're really very sorry. We hid some issues from you because we weren't sure how you would react. Moreover, doctor had advised us to keep stressful things from you." He tried to reason.
Lan didn't know whether to laugh or cry at Bei Nai's blunt reasoning. She couldn't even get angry at them given how fragile her mental state was.
They had always prioritised her health above everything else. She couldn't falsify their extreme concern for her.
Now there was no one left but her own stupid self to be blamed for getting in the deep shit without proper analysis of everything.
The irony was that even now she didn't know the complete truth and that was eating away at her heart. But some facts had become much more clearer than day itself.
Yu Sa looked at the conflicting emotions passing on her face, "Lan truth is that-" he abruptly turned to Jing, "Just give it to her."
"Give me what?" She was confused.
"This was yours before." Jing answered taking out a weathered diary from his bag, "It might answer some of your questions."
"o-ok." She was a little scared, "I'll go through it." She took the old book with some uncertainty.
"And I've sent a mail to you." Sa added, "Go through it after the diary."
"Are you sure that's everything?" Lan chuckled dryly, "There aren't anymore surprises?"
"That's as far as we know." Bei Nai shrugged, "If you have anything else you want to know then Min is your only answer."
Lanrubbed her temples tiredly, "I guess I was really close to Min before loosing my memories."
"Your condition has wrecked him a lot." Jing replied solemnly. It was his close friend after all.
"Don't worry about him he'll be fine." Sa said reassuringly. He also swatted Jing's head for a good measure.
"Sure." She nodded, "Why isn't brother Yao with you?"
"Brother Yao is with brother Min and brother Nam." Yan said, "Both of them are-" he shook his head in disapproval, "He's taking care of them."
"They fought?! Again?" She was surprised.
"They've got issues and they're trying to solve them." Nai said flatly, "Don't bother yourself with them. I still don't agree with you stressing yourself out with all this information about past but you're a stubborn ass." He chided her lightly.
"You don't know how constricted I feel with this darkness in my mind brother Nai." She felt helpless, "It's not a question of if I want to know but it's something I need to know."
"Just don't tell Min that we gave you those things. He thinks they're all long gone." Sa told her.
"He wanted to destroy all of this?!" She was stunned.
"He did whatever was best for your well being Sister Lan." Jing defended his friend's actions "Either way we'll take your leave now. Brother Yao needs our help to keep those children in check."
