After 5 hours of travel…..
They were having a peaceful journey. It seems as if the chit chat between friends never stops, as they were chatting with each other when they started their journey and it only stopped a few minutes ago when Little A fell asleep. So, there was silence in the car. As Xing was a light sleeper, she was unable to fell asleep.
"Xing aren't you going to sleep?" asked the driver in a low and hoarse voice.
"I am not feeling sleepy uncle Qin. Are you suffering from cold uncle Qin? Your voice is a little hoarse." Said Xing in a concerned voice.
Uncle Qin was one of the Senior Jang trusted employees and was working as his driver for 10 years. He was only in his late 30's. He was a kind and humble person who spoke in a low tone with everyone. So she safe with him.
"I am alright Xing."
"Uncle Qin, what's the name of the river that we are currently passing?" asked Xing while looking outside of the window.
"It's YangSu river. It is one of the longest rivers in this part of our country. It crosses 30 different cities in our country." Answered Uncle Qin in a little bit shaky tone.
"Are you really alright uncle Qin? If you are feeling unwell then we can rest for some time nearby."
"No, Xing I am alright. Xing, can I ask you a question."
"Sure, uncle Qin"
"Who will you choose if the life of your family member and an unrelated but really sweet little girl's life is in danger and you have only one choice?" asked uncle Qin in a little sad and hesitant tone.
Looking at the expression of uncle Qin. Xing sensed that something was a miss in uncle Qin's expression and behavior. So, she asked "is something wrong uncle Qin? You can share it with senior Jang so, that he can help you."
"Can you please answer my question Xing?" said uncle Qin panicking a little.
"If you can save both by taking some risk it is worth taking the risk. But if you don't want to take risks then choose what suits you and what you really care about uncle Qin." Answered Xing as if she was hinting him towards something though she did not know the main reason she sensed that something was bothering uncle Qin.
Listening to her words, he suddenly opened the locks of the door and said "Xing the choices I am going to make might be really selfish but it concerns my family member. I hope that everyone will understand as my older daughter is just 5 years old and younger is 2. I hope God will not put them under the heavy rock of my sins and let them have a happy life though they might be fatherless."
After she heard the low gabbling of Uncle Qin in the back seat. Xing started to panic. She was getting bad omens. Right when she was going to ask the meaning behind his words.
She heard a loud noise from the back tires of the car which was the latest model of Mercedes Benz with upgraded interiors after uncle Qin make an abrupt unnecessary turn which made the car to swing towards one direction and then she heard uncle Qin saying "I am sorry Xing, I know that is m being selfish and cowered but I am forced to do so, my family is in danger that's why I have to do this. I am really really sorry." In a defeated tone.
"If you were selfish then you could have jumped from the car right when you made your first turn uncle Qin," said Xing in a low voice.
Right then Little A woke also woke up by the impact and heard uncle Qin and Xing's words.
"What's going on Xing and what do you mean uncle Qin. What did you do? Save us, uncle Qin, save us." Screaming this Little A hugged Xing while having terrified expression.
Right after the words ended from Little A mouth, they heard large collusion as their car collided with the big rocks in the turning which they could have easily avoided if Uncle Qin did not make the previous turn.
"I am sorry Little A. if you were not here with me you will not have been implicated. I can understand your choice uncle Qin so, don't blame yourself." Said Xing at a fast pace. But all she could hear was uncle Qin apologizing and little A scared scream.
Then all she heard was a big explosion while the car collided with the ground after falling from the road. Whereas she was pushed by little A while the car was in the air. All this happened in a blink of an eye. Due to the impact of the explosion, she flew away at the bank of river, and then she lost her consciousness. And after she woke up, she was in a state hospital where she was unable to remember all the past incidents.
While she felt that the dream was surreal she heard someone whispering in her ear.
