I never felt better looking at the sea, with the night being filled with stars, the water is crystal clear. I hurriedly buried my face into the water and started drinking to satisfy my thirst.
No matter how much I drink, the thirst never goes away. Worse than that, as time goes by, it's like I am drinking acid. The pain is too much but I didn't know what else to do.
Then, as if by chance, I heard a noise coming from behind me. I turned around and saw a huge monster that looks like a lion only that it's eyes are so red and it's body seems to be covered a layer of hard armor.
If it was me before, I would have started running away and finding a place to hide or just stand there frozen by fear. But my instincts is telling me otherwise.
I felt my body changing and as if I was on fire however it did not stop me from walking towards the monster. I guess the monster followed me from the forest, eyeing me as prey.
I stopped in front of the monster and it didn't run away, already frozen in fear. I grabbed it by the neck by reflex however I was confused what to do next.
The next moment, my Emerald necklace started glowing and I feel like there's a vacuum power action going on. Sure enough, there is a black essence coming out of the monster like it's life essence was coming out of it fast. There were still traces of life left when the necklace stopped doing it's thing and I just watch the monster lay there without finishing it off.
Few seconds gone by, the necklace started glowing again and this time a bottle of wine came out. I removed the cork and instantly the aroma of the wine burst out. My whole body became intoxicated by the smell. I drank the contents in one gulp it made me feel slightly better. The feeling of thirst and hunger subsided.
Now that my mind is little bit clearer, I decided to observe my body.
Damn, I looked like a champion body builder. With this plus my aesthetically pleasing junk, I would have been a babe magnet. I am assuming this is my demon form and the proof of that is singular horn in my head.
"Max, can you come out?" (Titan)
Damn, I was so surprised, my voice even had an awesome change of tone.
"Lord Titan, how can I be of service?" (Max)

Max did not bother answering verbally and made it's body increase in size, flipping the pages to the location of the information I am looking for.

=>Can be used to siphon mana essence from an entity leaving only an estimated five percent of the being's mana core, ensuring that it will be still alive after the process.
=>Gathered amount will be converted into wine which is purified mana itself. The converted mana essence will bring additional power-ups. The volume of the wine depends on the being processed with.
=Can be switch to 3 different modes.
*Scan Mode
The necklace will just evaluate the total amount that a being could sustain on it's mana core. Regular description applies.
*Battle Mode
Totally destroying a being's mana core after it's defeat leaving it without a mana core and of certain death. Usually last about five minutes.
*Bandit Mode
Swiftly stealing a mana core. Can only be used with a certain target and timeframe after next use will increase. Weakened state possible after use.
"Demon Knowledge#1: Low rank suffer from mana thirst, the thing you experienced earlier. One way to satisfy or solve it is devour a being with a mana core. That includes humans, monsters, elemental beasts and fellow demons. They happen to extract mana essence by drinking the blood of the target or eating it piece by piece in which you will not do because of the necklace. Although, if you have the fetish of doing so, no one's stopping you." (Max)
"You are joking right?" (Titan)
"I don't know how to. Back to the main point , Lord Titan. The main problem right now is that you are still suffering from mana thirst, so you better hurry up and hunt some more inside the forest. Once the necklace doesn't produce wine anymore, that's the time that you can stop. Summon me again when that happens." (Max)
"Fine, isn't this a bit too terrifying? What if I face a strong monster or something like that?" (Titan)
"Well, learn to use the necklace, Lord Titan. It will show some signs so learn by experience for now. I just want to remind you that I am not omniscient, so I don't have the specific characteristics of the necklace so you just have to wing it for now. Besides, you are guaranteed not to die within three days, so you will be probably fine. See you later." (Max)
The handbook returned to its original state and came back inside my necklace without waiting my reply.
Grateful for the reminder, I walked proudly back to the forest. It's time to test my power while experimenting with the necklace.
Sure enough, I am still feeling thirsty but my next target finally appeared. I did not receive any kind of response warning from the necklace so I just attacked. The second monster is a lizard and I just threw a punch straight to it's head, knocking monster down.
Just like before, I grabbed it by the throat and the necklace did the rest. The wine tasted a little bit fruity.
I never was a fan of drinking wine before or liquor of any kind. Thinking about it now, I may have missed a lot of good things from way before.
I am not sure if I can eat the lizard so I just punched it again so hard to make sure it's already sure. I took it back with me where my first kill is. I also punched the first one, killing it on the process. Leaving the corpses side by side, I took off to find my next target.
