Mages are only able to cast spells and warriors are only able to martial arts techniques. Warrior mages are able to use both.
Spells:
[Rank 0 / Chore] - this is what novices are usually only able to cast before they break through the next rank. This includes spells such as gust which is used to blow away dust, clean clothes, and wash which generates soapy water to clean dishes. The average mage stays in this rank for a year.
[Rank 1 / Soldier] - this is what adepts are able to cast. This includes spells such as the famous fireball which summons a ball of fire which then shoots towards the enemy exploding, and also gust which improves your speed for when you're too much of a pussy to fight and want to run away. These spells are very effective on normal soldiers and are able to keep the same rank warriors at bay. The average mage stays in this rank for 2 years.
[Rank 2 / Army] - this is what expert mages are able to cast. This includes spells such as fire lance which shoots forward a lance of fire incredibly fast which explodes causing devastating damage around a 10x10 meter area and dragon's breath which shoots a stream of flames forwards in a cone-like shape for 20 meters. These spells are as the word describes deadly against armies of lower rank than the caster causing the most damage possible and is the point when most people consider mages to be better than warriors, as warriors shine in single combat. The average mage stays in this rank for 4 years.
[Rank 3 / Village] - this is what master mages are able to cast. This includes spells as meteor causing a rock with a 5x5 meter area to fall down at very fast speeds and cause devastating damage to a large area and glacier spike causing a huge glacier to come out of the ground and destroy/impale anything above it, the spell is more effective in colder areas with being able to generate more power. These spells are able to destroy villages both large and small completely obliterating them, the point where most warriors are unable to kill a mage and are outmatched. The average mage stays in this rank for 8 years.
[Rank 4 / Town] - this is what grandmaster mages are able to cast. This includes spells such as meteor hail causing 5 to 20 small meteors to fall down from the sky depending on the mastery of the spell achieved causing devastating damage to any town and holy rain causing countless holy weapons from swords to spears to fall down the skies densely packed which is most effective on the undead but does still have the ability to destroy a town albeit a little weaker. The point where mages are considered the supreme path of power and when warriors are usually the servants of mages. The average mage stays in this rank for 16 years.
[Rank 5 / City] - this is what the lord mages are able to cast. This includes spells such as hell's rain of fire causing various fire spells such as fire arrows, fireballs, fire lances and etc to fall down from the sky destroying all cities besides the strongest and the thunder lord's wrath causing many thunderbolts to fall down from the sky killing everything in the city while not destroying a lot of it as the thunderbolts are mainly piercing. The point where the common populace considers these mages as gods. The average mage stays in this rank for 100 years.
[Rank 6 / Kingdom] - this is what the emperor mages are able to cast. These include spells such as ice age which covers a vast distance of land in ice freezing anybody below the rank of the caster or without special abilities and god's judgment where a massive light appears in the sky and brings down large pillars of light purifying and destroying in them. Only a few thousand mages of this rank exist out of the billions living on this planet making them have high ranks and only operate in the strongest empires. The average mage stays in this rank for 500 years.
[Rank 7 / Empire] - this is what saint mages are able to cast. These spells include the fist of the universe creating a large fist of hard materials in the sky and throwing it onto the land able to destroy all but the strongest empire and sun of the all-god, generating a massive fireball in the sky which will shoot [Rank 4 and 5] fireball onto the ground and eventually throw itself onto the land as well. Only a few dozen are in this rank and they are usually the emperors of empires or the ancestors of empires. The average mage stays in this rank for 1000 years.
[Rank 8 / Continent] - this is what divine mages are able to cast. These spells include the wrath of Gaia causing earthquakes capable of creating valleys hundreds of meters deep all across the continent destroying everything on land not strong enough and doom fire of Surtur causing massive fire magic to fall from the sky and erupt from the sky burning and destroying everything and anything creating an apocalyptic scene. Only one mage is in this rank currently and it is the strongest ancestor of the Dragon God Empire. The average mage stays in this rank for 5000 years.
[Rank 9 / Planet] - this is what celestial mages are able to cast. These spells include void well which creates a strong gravity well pulling in nearby astrological bodies that all slam into the planet and the speed of sound or higher destroying the planet in less than an hour, and dragon god force creating a large dragon apparition the size of a small planet which rams into the planet and explodes with different elements causing the planet to break apart in less than a day unless at least 3 [Rank 9] help. No mage on this planet is currently in this rank. The average mage stays in this rank for 10,000.

Techniques:
[Rank 0 / Wall] - this what novice warriors are able to perform. These techniques include river splitting sword slash with capable of stopping a fast river from flowing for a few seconds or destroying walls. The average warrior stays in this rank for 3 months.
[Rank 1 / House] - this what adept warriors are able to perform. These techniques include thunder dragon rush creating one or many small thunder dragon apparitions that rush towards the target exploding and discharging a lot of electricity stunning the opponent for a short time if weak enough. The average warrior stays in this rank for 6 months.
[Rank 2 / Street] - this what expert warriors are able to perform. These techniques include earth rending slash capable of slashing open earth hundred of meters in front of the user making it deadly for mages not able to fly, having weak defensive spells, or slow movement spells. The average warrior stays in this rank for 9 months. The warriors in this rank are also able to infuse mana into their weapons now.
[Rank 3 / Small Village] - this what master warriors are able to perform. These techniques include roar of the tyrant dragon which produces destructive sound waves which travel in a wide area in front of the user and vibrate anything it touches violent until it breaks or the energy is dissipated able to destroy all buildings in a small village and kill all the people inside with a weaker rank or bad defensive capabilities. The average warrior stays in this rank for a year.
[Rank 4 / Large Village] - this what grandmaster warriors are able to perform. These techniques include the fist of the barbaric demon generating an illusionary fist a dozen meters wide which crashes into the target at fast speeds carrying an inherent darkness element within it and another element the warrior is proficient in. The average warrior stays in this rank for a year and a half. The warriors in this rank are now able to attack from a long-distance away.
[Rank 5 / Small Town] - this what lord warriors are able to perform. These techniques include Gaia's fist where a large fist out of rock is made which is able to smash a small town to pieces and also be able to contend with lower rank mages, this technique is also very good at defense giving the user the ability to survive against higher rank warriors with worse techniques and same rank mages for a little while. The average warrior stays in this rank for 2 years.
[Rank 6 / Large Town] - this what emperor warriors are able to perform. These techniques include thunder lords hammer were a massive hammer made out of lightning is made and releases lightning bolts onto the ground below and when it is finished the warrior will grab onto the hammer and smash it into the ground - it may even damage small cities -, to use it you need to have an affinity for the lightning element. The average warrior stays in this rank for 4 years.
[Rank 7 / Small City] - this what saint warriors are able to perform. These techniques include hegemon demon slash which creates a massive sword slash that creates a valley kilometers long and a dozen meters across, the sword slash has an inherent evil and dark feeling that will try to corrupt anyone using this. This is the usual standard for royal guards for the many palaces inside the empires with this rank being the weakest royal guards and the royal guards that are assigned to the branch families/palaces. The average warrior stays in this rank for 32 years.
[Rank 8 / Large City] - this what divine warriors are able to perform. These techniques include Skyfall sword slash which creates an innumerable amount of sword blades in the sky which shoots down at great speeds and bisects anyone unlucky or weak enough. This is usually the guard of the main royal family at the empires and, are usually very influential even if they serve as guards and are warriors they are still very powerful. There are not a lot of these [Rank 8] warriors, only about 100,000, and are therefore considered to be powerful assets and are in times of war generals of the army. The average warrior stays in this rank for 96 years.
[Rank 9 / Low-Level and small Kingdom] - this what celestial warriors are able to perform. These techniques include heaven splitting sword which cuts a massive valley dozens of kilometers across and hundreds of kilometers long dividing a kingdom in half and also parts the clouds above. This is the guard of the high-ranking figures of the main and branch royal families such as the crown prince and keeper of the coin, assigning as many as a couple of dozen to protect the crown prince while only a few protect the keeper of the coin. There are only a couple thousand [Rank 9] warriors in the world and are usually the royal guard of the empires or the king of mid and high-ranking kingdoms. The average warrior stays in this rank for 300 years.

Notes: [Warriors are able to advance in rank quicker than mages due to the fact that mages need better mana control and warriors just need to circulate mana around their body and at a little distance away from their body, also warriors are usually people who have no talent being able to have great control over mana and chose to be a warrior.
