Normal wild animals that have been strengthed or evolved by the ambient mana in the world turn into magic beasts. Even the weakest Magic beast is able to easily kill an ordinary adult human an example being the single-horned white rabbit.
Magic beasts have different rankings compared to humans and demihumans as they are graded on their strength from birth to becoming an elder and also how smart they are.
Magic Beast ranking:
Child Magic Beast - Age ranging from 0 to 20. Same intelligence as a 3-year-old baby. Very easily fooled and defeated and are always protected from their parents. The highest number of any age of Magic Beasts.
Young Magic Beast - Age ranging from 21 to 100. Same intelligence as a 10-year-old child. Although smarter than child magic beasts, they still can be fooled and are usually alone due to being kicked out of their home and made to fend for themselves. The second most numerous amount of Magic Beast of any age and are kicked out of their tribe/home for 10 years when they first advance to Young Magic Beast to gather combat and survival experience.
Adult Magic Beast - Age ranging from 101 to 1,000. Same intelligence as a 30-year-old adult. Incredibly tough to beat as they don't fall for any sort of schemes unless someone vastly older than the magic beast is fighting it and even the weakest adult magic beast is considered to be dangerous to any warrior under the Grandmaster rank and any mage under the Master rank.
Elder Magic Beast - Age ranging from 1,001 to 10,000. Same intelligence as a 200-year-old wizened human who has experienced the hardships of life, meaning the magic beast is incredibly scheming and few have the experience and strength to defeat this old magic beast.
Ancient Magic Beast - Age ranging from 10,001 to 100,000. Same intelligence as a 1,000-year-old scheming fox capable of plotting the downfall large kingdoms and even small empires if given enough time.
Ancient Elder Magic Beast - Age ranging from 100,001 to 1,000,000. Same intelligence as a 100,000-year-old human with incredibly vast combat experience, this magic beast has never known to be defeated.
Desolate Magic Beast - Age ranging from 1,000,001 to 100,000,000. With legendary intelligence, strength, and combat experience for surviving for so long, this beast is a myth to the Humans and Demi-humans. They are usually the offspring of one of the Origin Magic Beasts and are stronger compared to Magic Beasts that rose up through the ranks by themselves.
Origin Magic Beast - Age ranging from 100,000,001 to 1,000,000,000. At the peak of this world with enough strength to completely decimate even the largest empire, they are the ones who started its species of magic beasts and are the only ones in existence. For example, the Origin Dragon is the ancestor of all dragons and is considered to be the strongest magic beast alive.
