Claude the Carver was, in fact, not biologically related to the Mad Dog.
This was a fact Augustus had already ascertained himself, even before the peculiar fellow before him stated the same. After all, Wolfgang Amarellius also happened to be a descendant of and the heir to the prominent House Amarellius. This could also easily be discerned from Claude's appearance, the polar opposite of the Mad Dog's.
He could not be described as youthful, for his dark brown skin was weathered from the elements. But his eyes and razor smile revealed his age as both were surprisingly animated. Claude's hair was full of short, chestnut curls that held a fascinating hint of gold.
"Go on, eat, it's not poisoned," Claude promised.
Augustus raised a single eyebrow.
"Then starve. But then, maybe my brother will perish. And then you shall find yourself with another enemy on top of the growing list I'm sure you are already accumulating," Claude shrugged.
