Luna intently watched every battle that had happened in the arena. Each of them wasn't willing to lose but there could only be one winner in each round. Many failed to make five consecutive wins but a hundred were likely to make it seeing how many they were.
She sat firm with her balled fist and seemed eager as she bit her lips. The flames inside her appeared to be burning fiercely as time passed by.
Moreover, the arena looked way worse than the first battle. Cracks and dents were visible from Luna's seat and traces of blood were glued all over the floor. The Advanced Mages didn't bother having someone to clean it as if they intended to let the progressing battle be harder than it was.
"Number 55, come over!" The assistant of the Vice-leader said.
Apparently, the Vice-leader was now sitting at a golden chair with several mages that stood beside him, waiting for his orders.
Meanwhile, Luna calmly stood up and avoided anyone's eyes as she's sure that they would have similar reactions.
'It seemed that it's been a long time since a healer class joined the single battle,' Luma thought.
This time, she had already pinned her badge for everyone to see, and holding a badge would be a bother while fighting.
When Luna reached the other side of the arena, a man came up the stairs.
It was the second challenger. A tall bulky man in blonde hair and brown eyes with a huge black sword that seemed to weigh more than himself.
"Start!" the mage said.
While the man was busy adjusting his sword in his hands, Luna burned the floor with golden flames. It was to make the bloody floor near her to be clean. The golden flames did not only heal injuries but could be a substitute for a cleaning machine. She discovered it after doing several tests when she's still in Akiro's mansion.
Luna planned to clean it more but she would just help his enemy so she deliberately stopped for a while.
The golden flames disappeared from the floor and but the magic circle didn't disappear, instead, it glowed more brightly and golden flames surrounded Luna and the small magic circle beneath her feet.
When she laid her eyes on his enemy he was already in front of her, ready to swing his giant heavy sword.
Luna smirked and stared deeply into his eyes. The huge sword didn't injure her body one bit even if the sword was clearly at her right shoulder.
She didn't want it laying in her body but his reflexes were faster than her. Though, she took the chance to step away when his face widened with shock along with his unmoving body.
"W-what are you?" he said.
Luna smiled sweetly with squinted eyes but her smiles carried hidden danger.
"I'm a healer!" Luna said.
Her index finger pointed towards her badge.
"Tsk. A mere healer," he said.
Seeing that he was several ahead when it comes to speed, he dashed forwards and with his now flaming sword.
Luna secretly replaced some golden flames that surrounded her with white flames.
Once the heavy sword hit the flames, it was cut in half. Despite this, he continued to pierce this lady in the chest with his broken weapon.
Luna didn't back away this time. This giant body would definitely cover her ruse. She pointed her hands that shaped like a gun towards her stomach.
"Fire," she whispered.
Though the man didn't fail to hear it and felt the aching sensation towards his stomach and couldn't help but to kneel.
"Arghhhhh!" he shouted.
It didn't last long for him to lay down onto the cold floor of the arena.
Luna just stood there with her eyes squinted and curved lips.
"It's a nice battle, sir, see you next time," she said.
"The first challenger wins her first match!" The Advanced mage said.
"Next will be number 201!"
This time it was a mage. A female one in her beige robe and eye-catching green wavy hair. The moment they signalled to start, she bombarded her with various earth spells as if she didn't want to give Luna a rest.
But this series of spells gave Luna an opportunity. While there were obstacles, she fired two shots of small white flames.
She knew it hit her when the waves of spells seemed to decrease and then stopped completely after a while.
The mage was now lying on the floor, unconscious.
"First challenger, two wins!"
"Next number..."
The others had tried every way to counter her healing prowess but no one could seem to injure her one bit. Despite that, Luna huffed after battling ten different persons with different fighting styles.
Her mental state was trying its best to analyze every way where she could fire her white flames with a high level of accuracy.
"Ten consecutive wins! Congratulations! Next will be the new first challenger," the mage said.
When Luna stepped down the staircase of the arena, her eyesight turned towards the man with his two long swords hanged on his back.
'It's the first person on the line!' Luna said.
She was somehow glad that he didn't become her last enemy as her mind seemed to be drained by now.
Like her, it was possible that he had hidden skills in his arsenal. Although Luna didn't think about it too much as it's his enemy to worry about, not her.
Then she walked towards her former seat not that far away in the arena. It was the seat they provided for the new students that joined the single battle. Somehow, she could see that others seemed to begin sitting a little far away from her.
It looked like they thought that Luna would soon bring them unconscious if they incur her ire.
Seeing that, Luna mentally rolled her eyes.
'You're all so anxious and crazy,' Luna thought.
The people who deliberately moved away were the people that would not blink an eye to stab an enemy just to win each round.
'Haven't heard of having a taste of your own medicine?!' Luna thought.
Her thoughts were interrupted when the match started. The first challenger dashed at an astonishing speed that even Luna went shocked.
Then she felt that the scene fast forward when she saw him with his sword at the right that was pierced towards the second challenger. Even the second challenger hadn't been able to chant a single spell.
The loud cheers of older students seemed to get louder than ever. It's as if they waited so long for a man of this caliber to appear in the arena.
Well, the audience was very quiet when she's the one in the arena earlier. Luna made them thought hard about how could she do that and this man's fight made them back to their wits.
He took his sword afterward, leaving the enemy to fall himself on the floor. His opponent was almost dead but the Advanced mages didn't seem that heartless as they healed students that were close to dying. Although they leave small injuries.
Watching his fight, Luna began to wonder if she could catch him with her white fire.
'It seems that I need more training,' Luna thought.
It was no doubt that she would meet more skilled persons in the academy especially the senior students and learning some spells would be good.
Although she could increase the amount of white fire, her control still needs some improvement.
Luna didn't want to be chased by some family if she ended up killing someone since her white fire could make anything vanish into nothingness.
Thinking about that, she ended up sighing. She had to stay on the neutral side as if she's weak, she would not last long and too strong, she would end up killing everyone.
In the midst of it, Luna completely forgot that she would not be fighting alone frequently as the healer class's main role was to heal her future teammates.
