Inside the room of the son of the Noble Amsterdam family, the blinding light disappeared and a pair of rosy eyes stared at them that blinked from time to time.
"Y-you became human!" Luna uttered.
'Aren't everything's too fast?' she thought.
The small life-like doll became taller, about the height of Erik Amsterdam and her silver hair made them look like twins but apart from that, their facial features were entirely different.
"Benefactor, I wouldn't forget your utmost help towards us. I'll willingly serve you for life," Erik said.
He kneeled in front of Akiro with the respect that could be seen clearly from her eyes.
"Erik!" The girl said.
The girl ran towards him after hearing his voice.
"Y-you're finally back. I've waited for so long," Erik said.
From their tone of voice, there's more depth into their story that he didn't tell to Akiro and Luna.
"As I've expected, the doll was human but her soul was trapped for a month. It's a good thing that we took back her soul before it dissipates into nothing inside a doll's body," Akiro explained.
Confused, Luna faced Akiro and asked more questions.
"If her soul was trapped into the doll, then how did her true body appeared here suddenly?" Luna asked.
Akiro did take out the trapped soul within the doll but Luna didn't know how a human's body showed up the moment her soul left the doll's body.
"We're fortunate enough that Erik has the key to summoning her body. There was a huge connection between the two of them. The unusual illness that caught Erik was because of it. Then his original power was locked because it clashed with the girl's power inside him," he said.
"But of course, summoning her soul wasn't an easy task. If weren't for me, it'll take years before you find a capable Alchemist specializing in dealing with spirits," Akiro continued.
Luna rolled her eyes. It was good enough that he explained the situation to her in detail but Akiro still managed to praise himself amid a serious situation.
"As expected of my benefactor, you managed to see through my situation. Yesterday, I promised you that I will tell a secret but I think it'll be for later," Erik said.
He stopped and looked around his room. Because of a sudden earthquake, his elegant room became a mess.
Akiro nodded and they all walked outside the young man's room. Both of the silver-haired children were left stunned after seeing that the husband and wife Amsterdam were frozen like a statue for a second.
Luna noticed it too and immediately unfreeze the time.
'I almost forgot!' she thought.
Then her head turned where Akiro was and gave her a sharp stare but went back to his blank face after.
Erik's parents went towards him and checked his condition. His parents have decent magic and could sense that his current body state was different than earlier.
Their eyes widened in shock. It's the first time they saw an Alchemist that cured a patient in just a few hours and an unusual illness at that.
"Respectable sir, we'll not forget this in our lifetime. Although we're a low-class noble we'll be glad if we can be of help if that time arises," Erik's father said.
Akiro nodded and told them that they needed to discuss Erik's condition. Although he's cured, Akiro explained that he needs to take medicines to be cured completely and he gave them a bottle of potion and a list of the rest of the medicines that they need to buy.
The patriarch took it. Even though they're only low-class nobles, it's still within their capabilities to buy the medicines that are listed on the piece of paper.
Also, they seemed to know about the child with the same silver hair is their son and didn't ask any further about the girl's appearance.
After that, Erik said that he needs to talk with Akiro and Luna alone so his parents left them in a study room.
Erik sat on the chair in front of the study table while Luna and Akiro sat on the chair at the opposite sides of the table. Then the girl that turned into a human stood beside Erik and stayed silent.
"Benefactor-" Erik uttered.
"Just call me Sir Akiro and my student, Lady Luna," Akiro commented.
Erik hesitated for a second but chose to follow his benefactor.
"Sir Akiro, about the two of us, although our hair color and age made us look like twins, we aren't one nor we're related by blood. The cause of this was because of our unique magic constitution. We have the same magic and that magic affected the color of our hair which turned into a silver color," Erik said.
Akiro nodded as if he expected that while Luna didn't because she doubted that it was too coincidental for the two of them to be silver-haired.
"But I guess it isn't the secret you're talking about," Akiro uttered.
Erik nodded and continued his story.
"I think you already observed that my parents seem to follow what I say. It's because my mother dreamed of something before she gave birth to me. It's said that I'll become an important figure soon and I should be greatly taken care of. Since then, the Amsterdam family is always fortunate into businesses and it stopped our family from falling into the abyss. We maintained to be a Noble from all these years but whenever I use magic, I'll faint and fall into a deep sleep," Erik said.
"And when I met her, Irene, last year, I started to have a vague dream continuously about a grown man and woman with silver hair. It kept bothering that it's our past lives but it's so unclear that I don't know the reason I'm dreaming about it. She's the same. Sir Akiro and Lady Luna you're both a traveling Alchemist do you encounter people with such things in the past?" he continued.
Luna didn't have a single idea of what they're talking about. Also, unbeknownst to Erik, they aren't even a traveling Alchemist. She looked at Akiro and he had a furrowed brow in his face while drowned in his thoughts.
After that, Akiro looked towards Erik.
"If you want to know, you have to come with us," Akiro said.
"T-this," Erik uttered.
"If you worry about your family, with my connections, I can help your business rose further. You still can visit them from time to time," Akiro said.
Then Erik's confused face met them.
"Sir, you said that you're traveling Alchemists. How can I visit my parents that frequent?" he said.
Then Erik added another word. "I-It's not that I don't want to come. I already said I will serve you," Erik added.
"That, I think we have a long explanation to say," Akiro said.
Luna nodded. He has to explain because they are not traveling Alchemists and they just live in South Village that only took a few hours with a horse carriage.
Then she saw Akiro looked at her like he wanted to let Luna explain it herself.
Luna frowned but since she didn't help much today, she willingly did it.
"We're not really traveling Alchemists. The truth is we live in South Village and he has a high standing in the entire Magus Nation. I hope you'll keep it a secret from your parents," Luna said.
Erik went stunned but nodded earnestly.
"It's a relief then. When will the two of us move to your house, Sir Akiro?" Erik said.
"You'll come with us tomorrow. Also, I have to erase your parents' memories about me and Luna," Akiro said.
Erik suddenly halted. "B-but why?" he asked.
"Don't worry. They'll still remember that some unknown person had helped you cure your illness and you'll be leaving for South Village for some important matters. The reason is a secret," Akiro said.
Seeing that Akiro didn't go further into that matter, he only nodded.
Nonetheless, Luna was met with a confusion.
"Wait, how did the lady beside you become a doll and Akiro, you won't erase the lady and Erik's memories?" Luna said.
"W-what?" Erik uttered.
He didn't want to forget his benefactor's identity.
"Of course not. Since he'll be coming with us, it's not needed. I'll explain the rest later," Akiro said.
Luna nodded and Erik sighed in relief upon hearing that.
"About Irene becoming a doll, I'm afraid I don't know the reason. After a year that I met her, I woke up then find her turning into a doll. Only my family knew this and since Irene is an orphan, nobody outside Noble Amsterdam family went alarmed," Erik explained.
Luna and Akiro nodded but some questions lingered through their mind.
'What's the reason behind that incident?'
After their discussions, they went outside and then Akiro removed the parents' memories and other servants that went into their contact after leaving.
Only Luna and Akiro left and the two children are left behind.
Akiro gave his address along with his seal to
Erik and said that they have to travel to South Village alone since they shouldn't show up to his parents again.
