Inside a bedroom was a lady in golden hair, sitting beside a window. Her lips were curved, and her eyes were in glee. Knowing what would soon transpire felt as though she was floating into clouds even if that future event was not one to bring them smiles. Maybe only her.
"Milady, I'm back," a man with dead dull gray eyes said.
It cut off her thoughts but she didn't mind. The results were more important else her efforts would be meaningless. She wouldn't be able to stay sane any longer if misfortune continued to follow her. Of all things, she felt dangling on a thin thread without an end and the start was too far to go back.
Her gleeful gazes eased down and tilted her head, crossing her arms. "Did you send it?"
The man nodded, still looking down on the floor. "Yes, Lady Adelia," he said in a monotone voice, it irked her to no end. The man soon disappeared, listening to her commands through the mind; telepathy.
