"come on alex, let go." liz said as she knock the door
" yeah yeah, coming." I check the the time on my Fossil, the watch I get on my birthday, '6.45' opened the door to find out that Liz is standing there, pouting. As I Couldn't resist it, I tried to patted her head as she try to dodge and blushed at the same time. Then she drag me downstairs to eat breakfast I assume would be cold, which I put in the microwave.
"Where's mom?" I asked when I saw not so clean plates on the table. "she is in the bathroom" Liz caresses her hair
To which I replied with a simple 'oh'. I never couldn't have thought she can get up early in the morning as her habit is to wake up at noon to go to work. "I thought we're gonna take a taxi."
"hey, y'all excited to see your dad right." she come without me noticing. " Maybe." I replied while Liz eagerly nodded her head.
After finishing the meals mom sent us both to the airport. Before we leave, she give us a grand. "I can't trust your father to take care of your meals. Heck, he can't even take care of himself. " she hug us to bid farewell to us and watch us enter through the boarding gates. We get to the seat and put our bag.
As soon as we sat down, a young lady that have a lovely face that resemble a doll face head toward us.
"May I help you?" I asked her while liz looked at me.
"I think that's my seat there." she smile innocently. "Let me see, oh you're right. I must have booked different seat from my sister. My apologies. "I scratch the back of my head although it doesn't itches. Liz show me a concern look as she don't want to parted with me
"No worries, how about you just sit there and switches your seat with me." she smile one more time." This time Liz smile as she doesn't have to seat with her. But I refuse. "Oh no no no, you can sit here, you seem to have not so light of luggages and I don't want to trouble you. Here let me help you, please." as soon as I said this Liz face sunk down while I helped the lass put her bag inside the baggages compartment.
" oh, what a gentlemen " she giggle. "Burneax, Sophie Burneax." she extend her hand forward.
" Alexander McQueen, but you can call me Alex and this is my younger sister, Liz." I greet her hand. After the greeting I took my bag and head to my real seat to which was not so far from Liz.
I was worried because although Liz does not like talk with other if it wasn't important. "Burneax huh, why does it feel so familiar, but I hope Liz become friends with her." as I was deeply engross in my own thoughts.... "Hello there boy, are you alone here. Where are your parent." a friendly middle age men greet me.
"Hi, no it's just me, my parent is not here. Just going to my friend's house." to which he ask me my name and proceed to tell his name which is Mason.
In the flight either I talked to mason, read novel or sleep. I completely forgot about Liz and that girl.
***Liz pov***
'why won't alex just switch places with her.' I'm scream on the inside. She look like a talkative person but I hope she does not talk to me.
"Liz right, so what's your real name? Lizzy, Elise or Elizabeth."
'oh no, oh no, oh no. Why don't she just sleep.' I panicked." I-It's Elizabeth. But you can just call me Liz." i began to fidget
"Don't be so nervous, I'm not a monster. " she laugh. "I am 17 years old, how old are you Liz."
" I am 16 but Alex is the same age as you." I began to relaxed a little bit.
" oh, I see. So are you guys alone. "
" We're going to meet our dad. What about you, where's your parent." I asked as she seem to be without any guardian as well.
"No one, it's just me. I'm going for some vacation alone." she looked outside the window.
'Why does she seem quite.... sad, it seem like something is troubling her. But I just met her. I don't want to ask her about her personal problem. What can i do.'
"Uhm- are you alright, do you need some water" I asked her while calling the stewart.
She nods. "I'm fine Thanks you." as she receive a cup of juices. After that as I don't feel awkward anymore, we chat until the airplane has finally landed

"ah, the plane have finally land. Bye dude, see you again." I bid Mason off while he just wave back at me and rush outside. "Something important happen I guess." I go to Liz seat to find they were chatting. I don't know what they are talking about but to see Liz has a friend were quite nice. As Sophie saw me, she wave and that's when Liz finally notice I was there.
"How long were you standing there, why aren't you saying anything."
" I don't know, seeing you finally have a friend to have a conversation seem quite interesting to me. I don't want to disturb. But let's get going." I said as I helped to bring their luggages down because I saw Liz blush cause I bring that up.
We walk through the arrival gate to see that no one was waiting for us. "Typical dad behavior." I sighs. "So where are you going now Sophie."
" I don't know, maybe I'll take a taxi to a nearby hotel I guess." she said as she were trying to leave.
" oh, ok bye." I wave at her as i dial a taxi number. Suddenly something which I never expected occurred, "If you don't have anywhere to go, you can come to our home." Liz tugged my shirt. "Y-yeah, you can come with us." I don't know what happen but I just followed Liz. At first Sophie denied our offered which was what I've expected would happen, but Liz keep asking her until she finally agreed. So, we ride the cab from Bandon state airport to Bullards beach. It took quite some time but we finally arrived at the two story beach house.
