Chapter 11-Darkness and blood
As I splashed the cold water on my face and washed my hands I felt a little better .The stench of blood and death is nauseating .In the modern world I would feel like fainting at the sight of blood .and here I am killing people like chickens .
"Where is he ?" I heard the Prince's voice filled with tension .
"where is Huan my bodyguard ?" he roared angrily .
The battle weary people looked around and could not see me .
The Prince rushed around looking for me in that huge courtyard and just as I looked up he charged towards me and held me in his tight embrace.
Fortunately nobody could see us at that spot,since the water trough was behind the stables.
"I was scared " he said kissing me .
" I told you I would take care of you " I grinned
" and who will take care of you ?" he asked angrily
" don't worry .Nothing will happen to me .I have been sent by destiny to be with you ." I kissed him on the lips .just a peck.to console him .
" you are going to be with me forever promise me " He seemed to be strangely disturbed .
"of course I will " I promised without thinking at all .
If destiny allows me I will be with him forever .
I know that I love only him in this world .
That night he did not sleep .He sat beside me watching me .
As I slept I was unaware that he was awake the whole night .I did not know what was troubling him .
It seemed normal to me .If a relative tried to kill me ,that would disturb me too .
Poor Prince .His life was in danger always from everyone.Who was his friend and who was the enemy was so difficult to decipher .
I fell asleep like a baby sleeping with his mother.I felt comforted that he was there beside me .There was peace and serenity when he was close to me .
I forgot the whole world when I looked into his eyes .I forgot everyone when I could feel his presence .
I could feel his presence even when he was physically not very near.My radar was always showing his aura .
When I felt my heart beating faster I knew that he was in the vicinity .
When the morning rays touched our dwelling ,the Prince was still awake and dealing with the details about the assassination attempt on his life .
Security was tightened and all news was supressed .
There still seems to be some shadow movements which had to be revealed and destroyed.
Suspicion seemed to be on one or more of the princes or the cousins ,though it could not be certain .
The enemy was in the shadows and still unknown.
Though I slept peacefully I was fully alert to any sound of danger to my loved one.
The next day there was no indication anywhere of any massacre having taken place.The servants had cleaned up well .
I knew that there was no immediate danger to the Prince because the enemy would take some time to strike again
The Prince and I rode out with some more bodyguards out into the countryside to take a look around the area.
When we came to the river he signalled the other bodyguards to stand back and we rode ahead a little further away from their prying eyes .
As we dismounted he took my hand and hugged me tightly .
As I stood there cocooned in his warm hug I realised that I had been missing this love all my life .
That emptiness had been filled and I felt the happiness rise in me .
Life was so empty without a love .But then everybody was not lucky to get the love of their lives .
I had finally found the love and I would not let it go .I had been waiting for this love my whole life .
The sun shone brighter and I could hear music .
The words of a song played in my mind ….
Love is all around you …everywhere you go …..
And that is what I felt right then ...
Love was around me whenever he was near me …..
Then he kissed me ..
And the colours of eternity burst into my life .
I had always envied all those friends who had boyfriends and wondered what the whole hype had always been about ..
I had never been attracted to anyone before and had often wondered if there was something wrong with me but now I knew ..i had been waiting for love ..i had been looking for him ….my true love ..
He glowed in the light …
As the breeze caressed and played with his long hair I was so proud that this handsome man was mine …and he had waited for me ..
I smiled and kissed him .
" what ?" he asked smilingly
" nothing .Right now feeling on top of the world just being with you .."I replied.
"That was my line …." He grumbled.
" Promise me you will always be mine and you will always wait for me wherever I go in time …." I spoke seriously .
" I promise. I have waited for you so long dear .and I will wait for you for eternity …." His promise echoed in my heart and I knew we would be together forever.
A while later we retraced our way back to the inn …
We were going to go back to the palace ….
