"Godd*mn it!" Riku cursed.
"It's describes the attributes and skills with a proper explanation, but when it comes to its rewards it's been so stingy what the heck?!" he thought.
He couldn't help being irritated that he wasn't informed that it was a limited of use kind of reward, if he had known he might've only used 1 skill point and then wait until he could use it without a risk.
"No, calm down, it was probably intended that way so the [Skill Section] wouldn't be abused" he thought to himself.
The [Skill Section] was actually what they'd call OP, Riku wasn't sure if there'll be a point where he'll fight other people with a system, in the first place it's hard to say if there's a lot of people left after the zombies appeared. Assuming that there are other people with a System, he might have to fight them for survival.
When the time comes where he'll have to fight other people, he could've used the [Skill Section] to try and identify their skills based on what he can see. Despite knowing this he couldn't help but get pissed.
After regretting losing the [Skill Section] and cursing the System, he noticed that a lot of information was stored inside his head. Perhaps because the skill [Melee Weapon Techniques]'s level was still low the only information he knew is the basic stance and grips of different melee weapons. Still, this proves the legitimacy of the System.
The other skill he learned was the [Appraisal] which provides basic description of the things that the user wants to know, but he couldn't use it, yes because of its requirements.
Just as he was about to go back to killing zombies did he hear a cracking noise followed by a number of loud screaming voice. He went back to the streets just to see the windshield breaking and the zombies rushing inside.
The number of zombies near the windshield before couldn't compare to the number now. He thought the windshield of the bus would last at least for half an hour, but with the increase in their numbers, it isn't exactly surprising that it shattered after 10 mins even if they didn't intend to break the windshield.
The people inside, desperately tried to survive, some threw their stuff at the zombies, some tried to escape through the windows, but the bus was surrounded and even if they had a rifle that would only delay the inevitable. He was just about to turn around and leave when he once again saw the high school girl he saw before pounding on the window, snot and tears were streaming down her face as the girl saw him as well.
Riku saw the girl look at him with hope in her eyes. It felt bad since he couldn't do anything all he could do was mouth sorry. The girl understanding this tried breaking the window harder.
She was at the far end of the bus so she couldn't exactly open the windows and even if she wasn't there were zombies just outside the bus, but in her despair none of that mattered, she just tried in desperation.
Riku watched as a bunch of zombies grabbed her and he saw how the girl's eyes were filled with unwillingness as blood covered the windows.
Not wanting to see more of the massacre he decided to just go back while cautiously looking around. Only when he was inside the house did he felt the physical and mental exhaustion. Killing what used to be humans was just psychologically exhausting, especially since he wasn't trained to do so.
The only reason why he was able to do it without breaking down is his desperation and determination to survive and his passive skill. As determined as he was, he couldn't just get used to the feeling just yet.
He wasn't tired because he was swinging a baseball bat, it has been just the fact that he was killing someone that drained most of his energy.
He couldn't stay this way. The constant threat of the zombies and the indication of the system that something much worse will happen, wouldn't wait for him to adjust to this cruel change.
Removing all the negative thoughts inside his head, he focused on the three questions he had. His plan to use an hour for levelling up was discarded, he didn't expect that it was that physically and psychologically exhausting.
"What I need the most right now is information about the skills but the system specifically said that it'll answer three questions. Asking questions such as can I know everything about skills will only give me a yes for an answer." he thought.
He needed specific answers. Thinking that he should leave one question for the future, he said.
"System I want to use my first reward"
[After the survivor asks his questions he cannot change the question even if the System hasn't provided an answer
Do you still wish to proceed?]
Without any hesitation, Riku answered.
"Yes"
[Please ask your three questions, the questions cannot be saved for a later date] the System replied.
"Well, now it's oddly being specific, " he thought to himself before asking.
"What are the skills that monsters drop?"
[The skills dropped by monsters will depend on the monster's characteristics and difficulty. A monster could drop from a Physical Skill up to a Unique Skill this however is extremely rare.]
"As I thought, zombies aren't just the threats to humanity, what are the other threats is what I can't tell, " he thought to himself before asking his next question.
"Now that's out of the way, how does skill level work?"
The next thing he needed to find out was if it is better to have multiple level 1 skills or few but high level ones at the same time he'll can get an answer how skills level up but it'll all depend on the System.
[Skill levels are divided up to 4 sub levels. Levels 1-3 are called novice, 4-6 are called intermediate and 6-9 are called experts and only a handful of humans can reach this level without the system, Lastly skills that are level 10 or the max level are called masters.
To level up a skill, the skill points needed is the number of the next level added to the previous skill point used.]
Note: The Skill levels cannot be skipped.]
"So to level up a level 1 skill to level 2 (1+2) = 3 and for that skill to reach level 3 (3+3)
Riku, thinking to himself that the explanation could've been simplified, proceeded to ask his last question visibly nervous
"What will be the changes on Earth in the future?"
