Chapter 152 - Voyager-First Floor

Either I had to thank the aliens who had made the voyager or not, I must admit that the interior of the gigantic aircraft did not give me an eyesore by having all dark purple-ish colored surroundings.

I had a serious trouble looking at something colored with heavy purple hues, and so I had had a hard time looking at everyone in the eye five years ago inside that mothership because of that….

Scouting the whole structure from the inside while ensuring myself stay hidden, I could take a completely clear view of the overall interior features of the voyager.

First of all, I was only able to see a couple of floors above me and each with very high clearance between the floor and the ceiling.

I did however, have a complete certainty that there must be several more floors above that third floor.

At the very least, it must be for the hangar where they would store their gunship.

Then, the movement of the alien guards was the next thing that caught my attention.

Above the first floor, there were three large and wide bridges connecting from the left to right wall.

On each of that bridges, three alien guards walking slowly as they inspected everything below them.

They also looked like they were equipped with some sort of a magnifying optics on their eyes, meaning that I had to be very careful if I was about to move to another spot.

Of course, they were equipped with beam spears instead of beam rifles, and with an addition of shield on their left arms too.

There would be no way for me to be able to incapacitate them just by using my handgun anymore….

But does that mean they really are still expecting me to survive the attack that took place inside that underground cave earlier, despite me not having my Browning Automatic Rifle?

If these was all because of that turtle behemoth's direct order, then it must a very prudent alien….

The next thing that concerned me, was how considerably lower the activities were on the first floor compared to the bridges; the total personnel on the bridges were nine, while there were only five guarding on the first floor.

As if they are preparing for something or someone to get inside and then to trap their target….

The movement and pacing of the five guards were faster than the ones on the bridges. Since I was rather slow in sneaking I actually had a good chance to slip from behind them and get to the second floor.

I just needed to find a considerably big object to hide behind with….

Moving slowly to my right side just when one of the guards on the bridges turned its head was my first move.

I noticed that there was a couple of container-like boxes resting just on the floor, both with size of perhaps two and half meters tall and wide-just the right size for me.

Right, that is where I have to go for now.

After reaching the container boxes, I continued by peeking through the side to find out the next potential spot.

But instead of a spot, I caught something else in the distance….

It was the access to the second floor, but not in the form of spiral staircase like it had been back in their underground quarter.

The access was more like an inclining path with rough surfaces, implying that it was for both foot and wheeled accesses.

And I was right; just as I had finished determining my next checkpoint I heard two of the aliens conversing just on the other side of the container boxes I hid behind.

"Are not these boxes the supplies from inside the gunship?"

"Yes, they are. The chief told me to move it to the third floor."

"To refill the rations?"

"And the spare shields."

Ah, so the boxes inside the gunship shown in the holographic schematic back in their quarters were indeed containers for supplies….

"But why bother? Even if this difficult human is still alive, he does not possess his dangerous firearm with him anymore."

"Oh, so you have not heard yet."

"Heard about what?"

"One of us was seriously injured when he tried to capture him."

"He was what?!"

"Ice stalactites pierced through his left arm and left leg. Slight internal haemorrhaging in his left eye."

So they already found out about that alien who attacked me….

Piece of shit deserved it for trying to take me down….

"This human is even more dangerous than we have given him credit for."

"I wonder how many of us will it take to subdue him."

"The beam spear stuck on the cave wall confirmed that this human has an extremely good self-defence instinct and capability."

"How so?"

"He deliberately lured our now-injured comrade to attempt to attack him violently, and once the spear hit the cave wall-"

"It got stuck, and giving the human the opportunity to counter attack. Right…."

They seem to be considerably smarter than the ones we fought against five years ago….

"I was also told that one of us must replace him to guard his post for now."

"Where is he?"

"Infirmary, fourth floor of the quarter."

"Okay, I may as well visit him later on then. I will replace him."

Their conversation just now would be completely different if I decided to kill that alien….

But enough of that for now, it is time for me to move again.

Right after that, they split up, with one going up to the second floor bringing the container boxes, and the other going back to the cave entrance near the shore.

Apparently, the alien that was about to move the boxes already carried some sort of a trolley with it.

Since it would definitely create sounds when it moved, it would be easier for me to follow it to the second floor.

I quickly moved my body and hid behind a small spot just on my right side.

Waiting until it began to move the trolley, I wasted no time in tailing it from behind

Good! Now, for me to go to the second floor.
