Keiro: "For real? That's great 'coz then their regrets might be the same if they all stayed behind together."
Shimlee: "It's not that simple. You know the story behind Leblue bay's hidden treasure?"
Keiro: "What treasure.." The only treasure in Leblue right now was... Lucassi.
Shimlee: "Many years ago there was a rumor going around that the last dynasty's treasure was buried in Leblue bay, though no one knew exactly what it was, or where it was, the news attracted several investigators, archaeologists, journalists and the like."
Keiro: "Yeah I can imagine."
Shimlee: "So the ghosts here belong to a group of treasure hunters who came to Leblue bay and stayed here during the course of their hunt. Unfortunately, they all died in the sea during their attempt."
Keiro looked at Grandma Monica who nodded her head. So if they died in the sea, why not become ghosts in the sea, why come back to stay in the inn and all...
Keiro: "So, in other words, they would only disappear if we have some closure on this treasure business."
Keiro sighed. Should they run after a stupid treasure now? Bet it was some story the authorities cooked up to boost tourism. Those stupid ghosts, how should she convince them?
Keiro: "How long have these ghosts stayed here?"
Grandma: "They came here while I was still a young girl."
That long? So these ghosts were really old...
Shimlee: "Grandma tried going after the treasure too, in her younger days, simply to get rid of the ghosts here, but ..."
Keiro: "The treasure doesn't exist, imagine dying for nothing and living with regret over nothing..."
Keiro shook her head thoughtfully. It's true that she was a curious person who poked her head everywhere, but even she wouldn't risk her life over some stupid treasure...
Roju: "What if it exists?"
Keiro rolled her eyes. This Roju is too innocent.
Shimlee: "No way."
Roju: "I could actually calculate the probability of its existence by gathering data related to it."
Keiro furrowed her eyebrows.
Shimlee: "Look, all those people who tried going after it must have thought this way...."
Shimlee's grandma nodded her head."I have lived all my life here and am telling you kids, don't waste your time on it."
The old lady then went somewhere and brought back with her what looked like a diary.
Grandma Monica: "These are accounts of the treasure I made when I was young. I just want to convince you that it's all just nonsense."
Then why had she kept the diary till now, wondered Keiro. Shimlee took the diary from her grandma and started looking through it. Keiro also leaned over to take a peek into it. Even if the treasure wasn't real, she should solve the ghost problem here and stay safely under one roof with her Lucassi. This was an opportunity the heavens gave her by drawing lots...
