Chapter 19 - The Original Mu Zi (I)

Bai Wei, who was staying in the room next to Mu Zi's, immediately rushed over to knock on her door. "Zizi?! Zizi! What happened to you?"

Mu Zi opened the door with a pale face and was still a little shocked. "No… Nothing, I just had a nightmare."

Bai Wei had always doted on her like a child. She hugged her and patted her back softly to comfort her. "Why did you have a nightmare? You must've been frightened. Don't be afraid, I'll sleep with you tonight."

"It's okay, I'm really fine." Mu Zi forced a smile. "It was just a dream, mom, you should go to sleep."

Bai Wei looked at her worriedly. "Are you really fine?"

"Yes, I'm really fine."

After persuading Bai Wei to return to her room, Mu Zi inhaled deeply and closed her door.

She was not a timid person, but she had only reacted like that earlier because she was caught off guard…

She steadied herself mentally, then turned off the lights in the room—

Once her surroundings went dark again, different views appeared on the wall. They were images of violence and blood that depicted hell.

It was these drawings on the wall that scared Mu Zi earlier.

She walked to the wall to scratch them.

The images seemed to have been drawn using a unique paint that was colorless and odorless. They could not be normally seen, and would only glow in red in a dark environment.

It was undoubtedly the original Mu Zi who drew the images.

The current Mu Zi was initially glad that she did not ruin her room, but it turned out that she had vandalized the wall instead…

She began to look at the images one by one.

The more she looked, the more terrified she was.

That was because the drawings were either of a person's head being twisted or of a person's intestines being removed! As a whole, it was a drawing of purgatory!

While she felt scared, Mu Zi sympathized with the original Mu Zi.

—The sixteen-year-old girl was either autistic or seriously depressed, or she would not have drawn these images in her room…

Perhaps Mu Zi did not cut her wrist to get her boyfriend back, perhaps… Being heartbroken was the last straw she had, and the extreme mental load forced her to take a path of no return.

Mu Zi needed to find a way to clean the drawings on the wall because she would not be able to explain if someone found out.

Two young girls appeared in the drawings frequently. Although they were quite abstract, she could tell that they were Mu Yun and Mu Ling. It was evident that they often bullied Mu Zi, thus her drawings showed how she was abused by the sisters in every way possible.

Little Mu Zi hated this place, and she hated everyone.

"You and I are somewhat on the same boat now…"

She mumbled while she touched the drawings on the wall.

Mu Zi was not sleepy anymore after being woken up by the nightmare and seeing the majestic drawings on the wall.

She must think of a way to remove the drawings, or she would be terrified of seeing them every night.

On another note, the little girl was truly pitiful. She decided to kill herself after only living for sixteen years, and the only things she left behind were probably the drawings.

Mu Zi decided to take pictures of the drawings as a memory of the original owner.

After she found a laptop, she used the camera function to take pictures of the drawings.

Moments after she began taking the pictures… She somehow felt that something was off.

She frowned and stopped.

The drawings… They seemed to have the same angle.

Mu Zi looked carefully at the fluorescent drawings on the wall again, then turned to look at the bay window—

The curtains were closed.

She opened them and pushed the glass window.

The moon and stars outside shined brightly, and everything became clear under the moonlight.

Mu Zi finally understood after she made a comparison.

The drawings on the wall were not drawn randomly. They were actually seen through the window!
