The moment Luo Qiao was back in the living room she made a video call to Mu Lan.
She set the cell phone up on the holder and started to gossip about everything under the sun. In the midst of this, she reached out for the bottle of red wine and poured herself a glass. Her eyes lit up on taking a sip.
How sweet!
…
10.30pm. The villa was quiet.
Ming Siran came downstairs looking for Luo Qiao. He swept his gaze over the empty sofa before it fell on the kitchen.
Luo Qiao was sitting there with her hand around the bottle of wine, her face flushed and eyes bleary. When he saw her current state, he halted for a moment, before striding over to her with a hand in his trouser pocket.
"Luo Qiao?"
She did not respond.
He looked at the wine glass and narrowed his eyes.
Then he bent over and looked at her, level at the eyes. He raised an eyebrow as he studied her intently and asked, "Luo Qiao? Who am I?"
Luo Qiao stared for a moment and then replied slowly, "Don't you know who you are?"
Alright. So she was drunk.
Straightening up again, Ming Siran stretched out his hand. "Let's go, off to bed."
Instead of taking his hand, Luo Qiao stared at his slender fingers and clean nails. Then lowering her head, she leaned forward and kissed it.
The man's fingertips trembled for a moment.
He looked at her intently for a few seconds and then looked away. Drawing his lips back into a slight smile, he lightly pinched her chin and drawled, "You'll regret it when you wake up in the morning."
Feeling her head spin, Luo Qiao slid off the bar stool and clung to his legs, saying, "Carry me to bed… Big Brother."
With that alluring voice of hers, the man paused for a moment. To be honest, he was already doing his best to control himself.
Cursing inwardly, he held her up with his hands around her waist.
He contemplated.
It meant nothing to be a decent human being. What was the point? Honestly, he'd much rather he stopped being one.
Eyes twinkling, he took her wrist in his hand and asked seductively, "What did you just call me?"
Her head hurt. She did not speak.
"Hm?" He tried to lure her into saying it.
"Big Brother."
Satisfied, the man continued, "Call me Big Brother Siran."
Luo Qiao looked up and gave him a glance. Like a docile little girl she leaned towards him and called out, "Big Brother Siran."
Ming Siran looked at her for a while, then chuckled quietly and replied, "Good girl."
She stretched out her arms. "I want a hug."
In response, he slipped an arm under her knees and having lifted her horizontally across his arms, started to walk upstairs.
"Big Brother looks dashing."
"Uh huh," the man cast his gaze down and drawled lazily, "Your Big Brother knows that."
As she burrowed her face into his chest, Luo Qiao also circled her arms around his neck. Just as he was about to take a turn to the guest room, she pointed instead to the room that used to belong to her but now was Ming Siran's and said, "It's that way."
The man raised an eyebrow and asked, "Are you sure?"
"I'm sure."
Who was he to object? Almost at once, he turned and walked towards his own room. He kicked the door open and slid her onto the bed.
As he started to straighten himself up, Luo Qiao held on to him and refused to let go. He indulged her with a smile as his long and slender fingers reached into his trouser pockets to take out his cell phone. He then turned on the video mode.
Turning to face the camera and framing the both of them in the viewfinder, he said casually, "What did Qiao Qiao call me?"
Luo Qiao replied, "Big Brother!"
"Big Brother who?"
Raising her neck, she shouted, "Big Brother Siran!"
Ming Siran laughed and egged her on, "Anything else?"
With her eyes like half crescent moons, Luo Qiao thrust her fair face into the lens and said, "I want to date Big Brother Siran!"
The man remarked, "You've dated Big Brother Siran in the past."
"Oh! Lucky me!"
The man gave a pleased laugh.
Then he held up her head which was tilted to the side, and asked nonchalantly, "And now do you still feel like dating Big Brother Siran?"
