Chapter 59 - Regrets

By now, Luo Qiao was leaning the full weight of her head on his hand as she looked at the man's wickedly charming face. Without a moment of hesitation, she nodded vigorously and shouted, "Yes!"

Ming Siran looked at her and gently rubbed his finger against a spot under her eyes, saying, "You said it."

To which she replied, "That's right!"

He narrowed his eyes, seeing that she was so agreeable. "What if you regret it after this?"

At this point she could not even think straight. "Regret?"

The man smiled and stroked her head, however the words that came out of his mouth at this point would have given anyone goosebumps. "Then you'll have to hand over all of your assets to me."

"…" Luo Qiao blinked and like an obedient child, agreed, "Alright."

Then he stroked her head affectionately, looking very classy and handsome as he said, "Let's get to the point, come on, tell me your bank card PIN."

Luo Qiao: ?

The room was silent as Luo Qiao became drowsy.

Ming Siran undid two buttons of his shirt with one hand and stroked her face with the other. "Tired?"

She nodded.

"Go to sleep then."

"I haven't removed my makeup."

Some habits are burned into a woman's soul. Even when they were drunk.

"…"

He looked at her for a moment and laughed. Then he got up and went to her room.

Scanning the room, he made a beeline for the dressing table and picked up her makeup pouch, finding the makeup remover inside. He read the label for instructions, found some facial cotton and patiently removed her makeup.

He was gentle as Luo Qiao lifted her face, feeling so comfortable she almost felt like purring in contentment. The man leaned towards her slightly, going about his task patiently and seriously.

As he was about to finish, she reached out and circled her arms around his waist.

Ming Siran paused for a moment, then reached out to stroke her head as a force of habit.

Luo Qiao hummed and added, "I have to wash my face"

He looked down and laughed again, the laughter was lazily seductive. "Uh huh?"

The very drunk and coquettish Luo Qiao said, "Carry me."

"…" He looked at her. "Alright."

After she had washed up, he carried her back to the bedroom. Seemingly exhausted, she fell sound asleep the moment her head touched the pillow.

Meanwhile, Ming Siran leaned against the headboard looking at her. Almost always indifferent in his expression, the man now seemed to be full of tenderness.

The next day.

Luo Qiao's eyes fluttered open slowly.

Waves of regret washed over her.

She might as well kill herself.

F*ck! She cursed at her own memory. She could even recall the details of herself holding him and throwing a tantrum in her half-drunk state in the middle of the night.

Balling her hands into fists, she hammered it into the mattress. She swore she would erase every bit of this memory.

Although she was alone in bed now, the creases in the sheets gave a hint of the man who had been occupying that space next to her. She squeezed her eyes shut, took in a breath and opened the door, before walking out, the picture of nonchalance.

Ming Siran was sitting on the sofa in the living room, with one lanky leg crossed over the other. He looked up and glanced at her when he heard her. With a half-smile, he remarked, "You're awake."

In that moment, the Best Actress made a display of her fine acting skills. Her eyes became half moons as she asked, "Was I very drunk last night? I can't remember a thing. Did I cause any trouble?"

The man put his cell phone aside and played with his watch as the corners of his mouth quirked up. "Oh? You don't remember a thing?"

Luo Qiao smiled with reservation and replied, "No, I don't remember anything. I have a bad memory."

The man guffawed at the remark and looked at her without speaking.

Following that, she turned and walked towards her room. "If there's nothing else I'm taking shower. I still have to get into work later…"

Having said this, she was ready to disappear.

The man did not try to keep her. He merely picked up the remote control and hit the start button.
