Ji Anning greeted Jin Yuanyuan, put down her phone, took her neatly folded pajamas from beside the bed, and then entered the bathroom.
She scooped up the icy cold water with her hands and splashed it on her face several times, not hurrying to grab a towel to wipe it off. Vigorously shaking her head, water droplets flew in all directions.
Looking at herself in the mirror again, she felt much more invigorated and relaxed.
Then she took a towel, wiped her face, and turned to leave the bathroom.
"I was just about to call you, you have a phone call."
Jin Yuanyuan leaned against her desk, holding a can of beer in one hand and pointing to the table where Ji Anning's phone was with the other, informing Ji Anning.
Ji Anning's heart skipped a beat as she hurried over. After glancing at the caller ID and seeing the words 'Grandfather,' she breathed a sigh of relief.
Then she picked up the phone, answered, and put it to her ear, "Grandfather."
