A light wind blew in the clearing, softly rustling her clothes as she focused on the icy blue ball In-front of her.
Silver moonshine splashed on her beautiful frame. The slight layer of sweat on her face shining in the moonlight lightly creating a mesmerizing view.
The look of determination and dedication would mesmerize any man. She stood alone in the dark as she concentrated in compressing the ball of ice In-front of her.
Harry had thought hard enough, and he had devised a plan for a battle formation for them. Kim had the Lighting element which gave her immense firepower and speed making her most suitable for close range.
She on the other hand had Ice and wind elements which made her best for ranged attacks as her flying skills would help her evade easily.
For Kim, his plan was to make her a close-range fighter with a sword or a saber whichever suited her the best. For her, it would be best to use elemental attacks from the air.
It was late at night and it was her turn to stay on watch, she wanted to use as much as time she had to train. The best way for her to increase her firepower was to condense her ice powers into a compressed state which would explode on contact freezing the enemy.
When Harry had talked about this, she had thought it would be easy to condense ice, but it was proving to be an uphill battle. Her ice powers refused to be condensed and fought hard against any force she applied to condense it.
"You should not force it, try connecting with the power within you, and then softly lure it to work according to your will. These powers are like a cute lill pet living inside you." Kim said as she walked from the truck. It was her turn to keep watch and she too had been thinking of training.
"Now that you say that my powers also seem like that. It seems that wind and ice each have their own personalities and they behave differently. I have felt their anger and eagerness to fight when I saw Jason in danger, it felt as if they were giving their all to me so that I could reach him faster." Arya said with a look of realization on her face.
"I remember the lighting inside me violently rage when I was held captive in the stronghold. It gave me hope and strength to stay strong and fight that bastard."
Kim put her right hand In-front of her, palm facing the sky as a blue spark lit up in the middle of her palm. Soon the spark started flickering as it grew bigger and it multiplied and soon a blue ball of pure lighting was hovering above her palm, lighting up the area around her in with a soft blue glow.
Surprisingly enough the ball of lighting was not as glaringly bright as you would expect a literal ball of lightning to be. It gave a softer blue glow.
"My lightning has more of a violent nature, If I fuel my anger or rage into it, it grows stronger becomes more accessible to me," Kim said with a slight smile on her face.
As if to demonstrate it the ball in her palm started spinning, at first it started spinning slowly but soon it was spinning at unimaginable speeds as it created a slight buzzing sound. The ball was also starting to glow brighter and small blue sparks were now popping near it as they covered Kim's hand.
The ball which looked beautiful and mesmerizing before now looked deadly as a terrifying buzzing sound accompanied by sparks flying all around it made it look like a mini supernova.
A concentrated look came on her face as Kim suddenly closed her hand, forming a fist around the volatile ball of lightning. Her hand looked unnaturally beautiful as blue light leaked from the gaps in between her grip as blue sparks covered the surface of her hand dancing in a random way.
She flicked her wrist and the ball of lightning was launched from her hand and it flashed towards a huge building far away.
It looked quite mesmerizing in the dark of the night as it lit up the sky.
*Crackle
A crackling sound similar to that of lightning hitting the ground came as the ball of pure lighting cashed into the building.
The ball of lighting soon exploded and the whole area around the building was lit up with a glaring blue light for a second and then it all faded away leaving the survivors in the area terrified by the surreal event.
What terrified them was that a huge chunk of the building was evaporated by the little ball of lighting when it exploded and the edges of the evaporated area were still red and it looked terrifying to look at, giving them shivers as they though how not even their ashes would remain if this thing hit them.
Arya too had been amazed by the sheer amount of destruction caused by such a small ball of lighting. She turned her head to her sister to ask her how she did that, but she was surprised to look at the look of sheer exhaustion on her face.
She was heaving slightly, and beads of sweat had formed on her forehead.
"I just wish I could have learned to do this a day earlier then I could have helped Jason fight that creature," Kim said in a heaving voice.
"It surely would have helped but I don't think even this would be enough to break that golden shield, "Arya said in a lost voice as she had seen first-hand the sheer strength of the golden shield and she knew that even this devastating attack would fall short in-font of that.
"So, tell me how you did that sis," Arya said as she grew enthusiastic upon the idea of being able to learn how to use such an attack.
"It's not that complicated, just as Harry said first, we should learn to condense our powers. But if I try to force it then the lighting inside me simply refuses to compress. For me, it was the feeling of rage and my determination to fight for my family that fuelled the lighting inside me to follow my command. This ball of lighting is not the ideal attack for me. For me integrating lighting into my body or a chain would be ideal for close combat. I don't think swords or sabers would do me any good, I'm into more of a chain type of weapon which is flexible enough for me to flick and attack in a more fluid manner." Kim said as she finally stopped her roughed up breathing.
