The reality of my dual casting soon hit me. It was true that I could instantly cast with my main hand. But the faster I shot the less accurate my Orbs became.
My off-hand however was limited to two shots per second. It seemed the penalties for dual casting could not be undone without upgrading dual casting. I would need to eventually upgrade it all the way, spending the massive total of 60,000 coins.
That wasn't even the worst part of the problem. My off hand was even more inaccurate than my main hand. It seemed the accuracy issue was linked to the dual casting ability itself.
Fortunately, I had found the issue while facing the weakest of monsters in this area of the forest. It was a week after my hunt of the Velocinids. I was running low on supplies, and was getting tired of eating fish. It was at this time I remembered the rabbits that were the number one prey in the area.
I set out early in the morning, my cloak fluttered in the wind behind my, exposing my bare legs. I had managed to piece together a pair of black short shorts from the remaining goblin clothing as well as an improvised sports bra. The clothing was not ideal, but was much less likely to get ruined in this harsh environment.
I did not have to travel far before I encountered the first Rabbit. The species was actually called [Arcane Were-Rabbit].
[Arcane Were-Rabbit]
A failed experiment by the Lycan god Fenfir. These arcane rabbits were infected with the Lycan curse, yet their arcane nature forced the virus back. The result was a rather weak creature whose energy is used to combat the virus that had become a normal part of its body.

The Arcane Rabbits were actually an evolved creature, a creature that bred even faster than the goblins did. Unfortunately for them their own internal struggles led them to become incredibly weak. At least that's what's supposed to happen.
My first shot towards the beast hit its mark, It Pierced the beast's chest going straight through. The weak body of the rabbit could not stop the projectile, causing it to not receive a stack of my poison. This Is where the problems started.
My orbs were not weak, even without the poison stacks that accompanied them. 60 damage +10% +100% totaled out the damage at 132 damage per shot. The problem was the majority of the damage from my orbs still came from the stacking poison, which is how I managed to kill off the majority of the prey I encountered.
My train of thought did not interfere with my actions as I quickly began to shoot my orbs towards the beast with both of my weapons. The rabbit was rather fast, its movements leaving behind after images. Yet its speed was roughly equal to my own, so I had no problem tracking its movements.
I let my orbs fly, and yet they continued to miss. The shots fired from my main hand would occasionally strike the beast, the scene from the first attack repeating. My offhand shots were a guaranteed miss. I eventually was forced to stop firing from my off hand as it was simply a waste of my mana.
The battle raged on, Th rabbit did not seem to want to attack, rather it fled into the woods. The chase began, as I began to fire my orbs at it while we ran. With my accuracy warning and the rapid movements around 90% of shots missed. I could not help but wince over the wasted mana.
Finally, my massive amount of luck seemed to favor me as my orb struck the rabbit in the head, sending it tumbling to the ground. I could not help but nod to myself. Even in this world, without a head the enemy was powerless.
That's where it should have ended. If it had been any other creature than that would have definitely been the case. The rabbit twitched, and I could feel a plethora of arcane energy begin to swell from the body. Its head slowly began to reform even as its body began to mutate.
The rabbit jumped onto its hind legs as it stared at me. Its teeth had grown sharp, and its eyes glowed a demonic red. The various wounds that had accumulated on its body began to close at a rapid rate. The creatures from paws had mutated. The claws of the be beasts elongated, resembling talons of a bird of prey.
It charged at me with a speed I could not follow either my eyes. A long gash and a sharp pain appeared on my stomach; blood flowed down my body as I could see my insides. I fell to my knees as I waited for the next attack.
The next attack did not come. Instead I felt an incredible Pressure that threatened to crush my very soul. I could not even lift my eyes as the terrifying presence slowly approached me.
"Pitiful mortal, I must thank you for showing the path to make my failure into a success. These once useless rabbits can now properly join my army. I am not an ungrateful god, even if others would call me evil. For your Assistance I will give you a blessing, though many will view it as a curse"
With that the pressure was gone, and the previously silent forest returned to an active state. I slowly rose to my feet as I held my stomach, fresh blood still poured down my body. I turned towards my cave and began to walk.
