Chapter 117 - Public Opinion

Calder sighed as he slumped his shoulders. He didn't want to do it but he felt he had no choice. "Lady Britille, as far as memory serves correctly. I am pretty sure you had," He started to say when suddenly Lady Britille squealed.

"That's right we had a date planned today but I missed you! I am so sorry!" Lady Britille said as her eyes started to water. She had brought up her small fist and placed it gently over her pouting lips, as if trying her best to hide her shame.

The crowd started to murmur again as they parted. Everyone was voicing how they must have misunderstood the poor, delicate looking lady. They all moved aside allowing the two to talk face to face. Calder was confused, he had no idea what was happening, worse he had no idea where Syria was, this was all turning into a giant mess.
