Chapter 133 - 79 - Day 1 part 2

I don't know when it came, but over the course of time, some subconscious habits surfaced. One such habit was the ability to circulate blood and mana. There was always a constant blood and mana flow inside the body, along the way I just gain the ability to accelerate this flow. Everytime it was accelerated, a strange pressure would arise from my body. It was like some sort of natural aura that could drive away lower beings by instinct. Right now though, it was just a little sparring practice. Through my first year in the adventurers academy, I had picked up martial skills from fez, simple skills that responded to different situations. I didn't need anything complex, yet they can't be too simple as well, it was a troublesome task for Fez.

Accelerating the flow of blood and mana, my brain was activated even more than its relaxed state, increasing my perception of time. With [omni detection] as well, I could see the minute details that the students make. A sparring contest would be far too boring for me if a single flick of my finger can erase their existence. That was why the teacher could only task me with helping the other students. The school taught its own set of martial arts for basic self defense and arm to arm combat, it wasn't too difficult so it was memorised as well. Through countless dungeon expeditions, I had better control over my body and reflexes than most other adventurers, so I could properly master the taught martial arts quite quickly and spot mistakes for them.

After school ends, we would go on dungeon expeditions. Slowly improving our teamwork to match an actual veteran adventurer party, in search of treasures. Typically magic items that could help boost Iyori's power would be our goal. Slowly she was getting used to giving various buffs at the right moments where they were important. When timed right, her buffs could make the fights go more smoothly. Of course I could defeat them in an instant as well, so the unspoken handicap was that I was only allowed to distract the enemies and can't do any damage. Occasionally I would get too heated as well, cladding my fist in darkness with [Abyss control] and just punch through some enemies.

Over all it was quite fun to see Iyori's growth. There was the occasional monster drops as well, we could either play with those or create magic items out of them. By playing, I meant that they could be turned into magic weapons and swung around at monsters for fun. Over the course of a month, Fez had an item creation skill that has produced countless weapons so far. We practically had our own collection.

In this word the norm was to reach level 500 at most, any higher would make you famous. Naturally this meant that people generally can't go past the level 500 section of the dungeon, or they will be brutally murdered by the higher ranked monsters. The drops from those higher ranked monsters in particular are quite high quality, turning them into weapons was equivalent to some sort of holy relics in this world. Having a treasury of said holy relics would obviously be absurd to the people of this world, so I had Fez keep them safe and concealed everytime we exit the dungeon.

Though we had 1 or 2 of them kept by Iyori as well, her low level was a cause for concern within our party. But that was just exaggeration on my part, she was level 600, her stats are decent enough to even destroy low leveled fighters or vanguards despite being a healer. She also had an arsenal of skills to rely on if the enemy got too close. I was needlessly worried like a parent sending their child on the first day of school, maybe Iyori was just that strange outlet for my motherly instincts, even though she was older than me.

"hu~hu~ I'm exhausted. Let's take a break from adventuring."

"What? This is the first ti-" (Fez)

"Yeah, maybe we should. Doing it too much wouldn't be healthy." (James)

"But she's done it befo-" (Fez)

"I agree, it would be refreshing if we took a break at some place nearby. How about a cafe? I've recently heard about a new place getting popular." (Iyori)

"Gunununu!" (Fez)

Ignoring Fez's groan of frustration after being annoyed, I activated [space control] to bring ourselves out of the dungeon. It was a strangely convenient skill, [reality displacement] could remove sweat in an instant. The problem was that if I don't control it properly, it may removes clothes as well, so I opted to only use the skill in a nearby restroom for privacy. After refreshing ourselves, we headed for the cafe that Iyori talked about.

" Do you remember where that cafe was?"

"... I've only heard rumours-haha..."

(Iyori)

"Well, there goes our plan. Do you guys have any suggestions?"

"Hmm.. There was this one place selling a new product. Do you guys want to there?" (James)

"Sure. " (Fez) (Emily) (Iyori)

Walking there took a really small amount of time, it was as if James knew this would happen. The distance was short and the place was relatively new, as if it had just been set up a month ago. There was a steady flow of customers even though it was night time where cafes are generally less active. The peak time would usually be in the afternoon, it was self evident that the cafe was flourishing even at night. Entering the cafe, there were various workers dress in French maid uniforms. Actually maybe it was more similar to a maid from anime culture? The difference was subtle, but I don't think randomly placed black ribbons are practical at all. The person that organised this place either came from my world or had some kind of revolutionary idea that would affect entertainment services for the next decade. A public maid that takes care of your needs(taking your order) and services you(brings the food to you). Surely that person must have been a genius.

After we were shown to our table, Iyori gave me the choice to choose my seat. Unable to handle it, I picked the window seat and stared out like a kid. Iyori was probably enjoying the view with a pleasant smile on her face. Meanwhile, James and Fez was busy looking through the menu of vast dessert selections. Turning back from the window, I was met with the elegant sight of Iyori's mint irises and silk black hair. Hmmm? What was she staring at? Well, it was time to stop acting like a kid and dive into the menu.

"..." (Ordering)

"I would like a Ruby parfait!"

"Right. Coming right up." (waitress)

Something was really off about this place, but I couldn't care less. I just wanted my parfait already.
