Vadim's class was domain conqueror, I was practically trapped without a tier 5 skill, even then there wasn't a guarantee. His reinforcements can't come, so that's a plus. Now that he's awale, things are more trouble some, but it'll have to do.
Activating [Abyssal dome] would just give him a boost, there's only so much mana I can access in the room, meanwhile he may have almost infinite. So I can't use any expensive spells.
Using [stealth] [illusion] [sneak] [ambush] [Definite blow] [Killing blow] [Swift strike] [Deep slash] [Cursed cut] [Deceit blow] [Decapitate] [Execute], I warped around Vadim before... Being parried.
"tsk tsk, too slow too slow, useless!" (Vadim)
In an instant my ribs started having a burning sensation as my throat shot out blood like a fountain. *hurgh!! * His small and muscled arm was pierced through my ribs and I couldn't react.?!. Isn't a few billion agility suppose to be from a different dimension. How was he faster than me?
Taking a distance, a conclusion naturally made itself in my mind. No I just didn't want to believe it. It was the power of a 'sin'. The distance didn't matter as I couldn't react, barely keeping me alive was my stron passives that constantly regenerated my limp body. He was more than 10 times stronger as I couldn't even catch a glimpse. A hundred? No, a few hundred. He has somehow amassed a few hundred billion agility. Tch, what was all that training for? A month and a half thrown away like nothing.
That is fine, I barely survived up until now, but I guess if he was using a 'sin', I should too. "ZA WARUDO!" Activating time stop, everything came to a stop, at least for this room. Vadim was strangely twitching. Tch! He can even manipulate time in his domain?! Clearing the distance, I used [manipulate shadow] to form a new shadow tagger and shot with all my strength at Vadim's torso.
Big fingers, relative to mine, wrapped around the dagger, shaking really hardly at the same time. "You have some impressive strength and an even more special power! I thought I was the only one capable, hahah!" (Vadim)
That meant nothing. He was just taunting me so he could get a better reaction out of me. I need to stay calm and come up of a way to fight him. It was extremely slow, but 'wrath' was slowly overwhelming his territory in slowing down his time. Survive until it completely takes over? That would be impossible, I'll be killed by then. I don't have the ability to stall when my enemy's a few hundred times faster than me. Tch, what a situation.
I guess it was now or nothing. This spell was only in an experimental phase, but what else could I count on? Forming the [High speed enhancement-tier 4] magic circle in the air, Vadim mocks with "Useless! Futile! Kuhaha!" Using [shadow step], I teleported constantly to a few parts of the room before stopping. Shifting and adding components to the magic circle it changed into [Ex speed enhancement-tier4]. This was practically a gamble for it to work. There was roughly a 50% chance for it to activate thanks to a component that relied on luck to connect.
Creating 4 more [Ex speed enhancement-tier 4]s, I forcefully shifted them to the positions that I remember from my draft. Using [manipulate shadow] to form a imperfect cube, I embedded the gamble of a spell into the cube. The cube was more of a diamond shaped and took inspiration from an actual diamonds tetrahedral arrangement. Using [shadow step]s teleportation ability, I forcefully sent mana into the spell. It was the first ever 3 dimensional magic circle that broke through the current technology like paper.
Releasing 'wrath' from trying to overwhelm the opponent, my mind was finally calmed with the sight I saw. There it was, Vadim running much slower than before. At a much more easily manageable speed, it was as if the situation had reversed. How much agility did he have? Few hundred billion? Currently I was at 2.4 trillion and that was barely shoving in 2 layers of an experiment. In the future, it should be possible to insert more layers. The trade off of the spell was that I couldn't use any other magic in order to use the power up as much as I want. It was a matter of cost, but a neccessary curse magic circle to apply. The last inspiration was from a mage's association book that wrote about utility spells not limited to element. It was a spell called [riastrad] that usually only berserk types would use as their class can reduce the backlash.
The first time I saw it, it was an enigma of a magic circle. Multiple unidentified components even though I roughly know all the common ones. That meant that they were unique components, though not anymore. The spell amplified every stat by few hundred times depending on tier, in exchange the user loses their sanity and reason for a short while.
It was very similar to [enhancement] spells in that it multiplied existing stats, so I could immediately recognise the boosting parts. However it gave me a really quick realisation. It takes infinite mana. That was why the curse was there, they absorbed the user's cognitive abilities for a short while in exchange to supply energy. I managed to salvage it with testing the individual component's on low leveled monsters and never found an answer. But I found a solution, with a considerable amount of backlash. Instead of losing cognitive ability, I redirected it to my mana pool. But that wasn't enough.
so I basically stuck [shadow step] on it and voila. Some random low level monster in a cave somewhere is currently going insane, at the same time they couldn't use mana so they shouldn't be much of a problem. I figured it would cut off halfway if their tribe decided to put them out of their misery, so I stuck some [auto-regeneration] that used their own mana.
Dodging his attacks with much ease, I decided to give him the same treatment and pierced his rib with my right hand before sliding it back out. Using the momentum of sliding my hand out, I spun a round and stuck his stomach. Even though he was extremely fast, he was quite soft. Basically the same build as me. Tch!
Chaining my punches on his face, I ended the assault with a side kick with my right leg. He barely blocks with his arms that broke under the attack. I was too used to my new assassin style, that I instintively when to his blind spot before launching my fist at his neck. "Guargh!!!" Launching [void beam] at my feet and torso, I dodged them by flipping towards him. Shooting a [void beam] from his front, I couldn't dodge since I was in mid-air. I had a million hp, more than [void beam] was required to send a scratch.
Taking the hit, I fell on the ground before closing the distance in less than a distance. "That beam can't save you from my wrath." Sending the momentum of every part of my body into my fist, I connected one final punch to his neck. It completely blew apart from his neck.
A light started manifesting in the corner. Recognising the significance, shock was plastered over my face. Making a menacing grin, he walks out of the corner and this time his speed was definitely at a trillion. I was still faster, but if this was what I think it meant... There would be a big problem.
