Chapter 87 - 34 - Action

To my disappointment... I lost self control and spent too much time chatting with Fez before going to sleep. Ah.. Whatever, what's one more set of dark eye shadows when they already appear in battle all the time. For every element, there was a sign that indicates the element specialty of a particular element. For example, for dark users, we get dark eye shadows during battle, for light users, they just get a generic light yellow aura. For the other elements, they get sigils of their element on different parts of their body.

Recently learning this is bad, I was only informed last week when I went to the mage's association and read the borrowed books. Dragging myself off of bed, I rubbed my eyes in exhaustion and slowly walked toward the shower. After my morning routine, i used [shadow step] and manifested in my chair. Ahhh... I'm going to develop this habit where I get too lazy to walk...

Laying my head on the table, a few students went to stand around my table. Are they just here to admire the winner of the tournament? How cute. Opening my sleepy eyes even wider, I almost spit at the random admirer. James?! What the hell does he want? Hmm maybe this is my chance to gain his family's backing. I wonder how I can do it. First I need more information.

"What are you doing in front of my table?" I spoke in an exhausted tone. "..." (James) Shy huh~ Guess I'll need to be the tsun to get rid of him. "If you have nothing for me, go away. Class is about to start, baka."

"I...uh...just wanted to see..you..."(James) We're in the same class, hasn't he being staring the whole week? Huhh~ Laying my head back down on the table, Tom sensei walks into the class. Setting his stuff down, he calls out to James to go back to his seat before starting the class. It wasn't as if they overreacted, but the teachers and staff are still bewildered by my extremely fast leveling rate. Currently I was level 643, and I've unlocked the tier 4 form of my skills, so I should be ready to exact my vengeance.

It wasn't as if I could prepare for any problem in the world, so I should strike while the iron is still hot. There's a high chance that my dad is dead since it has been a month and a week since then, but I've grown a considerable amount. I've already thought up of things to do the previous night, so now it's just waiting until night time. My lessons went by as usual with little to no change other than the teachers getting shocked the first time they see my level.

"Did you use a disguise item?" (Tom)

"Other than my name, everything else wasn't disguised."

"..."

Tom sensei immediately regained his composure and continued the lesson as if nothing had happened. Every once in a while people would check my level just because they couldn't believe it.

Waiting till night time was easy. In the mean time, I had gained around 20 levels with the help of the traps I set up basically creating exp tanks that I would absorb just being near. This time there were less pools of blood as the adventurers became more cautious of the traps and avoided or disarmed them. It was kind of annoying, but it all worked out in the end.

It's dead midnight and security was suddenly tighter than in the morning. Well damn, I didn't account for this. It didn't really matter since I was an assassin, but how did I not see this coming? Activating [stealth] and [sneak], I checked my stats one last time to assure myself that I'm ready:

Name: Emily Shuu

Level: 661 Points:0

Health: 1 750 000/1 750 000

Mana: 1 935 000/1 935 000

Strength: 20 000 000

Vitality: 175 000

Intelligence: 193 500

Agility: 4 625 200 000

Class: Reaper

I stare especially long at agility as I managed to get my favourite stat to a ridiculously high amount and somehow have average competency for the other 3 stats. Sure I couldn't beat others if they concentrated on one stats as well unless it was agility, but if they spread out their stats like a sane person, I would beat most of them.

Using [mana detection], the mansion was filled with traps, since it was tier-4,I didn't need to actually move mana to detect it. If I did move the mana, 70% of the traps would have been triggered. I could do it as a prank, but I wouldn't want to let my uncle live longer if I had enough time to do pranks. Using [illusion], I tricked most of the traps into thinking I was there, there were still roughly 40% of traps that couldn't be tricked, but I managed to walk in through the entrance and avoid all the guards.

At the hallway were high tier traps that cannot be tricked by [illusion], I had to slowly deactivate them by altering their magic circles into a way the circuit doesn't make a connection and activate. You see, most high tier traps are locked with another trap. But sometimes there would be another layer or more of traps, it took a considerably long time to deactivate them, walk past the area and reactivate them. If I didn't take precautions, the guards will notice something is wrong when they check the magic circles.

Making it in to the final room which was Unclevs bedroom at the end of the arduous hallway, I used mana detection and found one last trap behind the door. Thank god I didn't just open it. Inspecting it on the other side of the door with [mana detection], I tracked that it was locked by another trap. Checking the second layer, the same pattern followed. After 10 minutes, I've counter 500 layers and more. It was practically infinite. Even if I find the end, it will be the morning and if I used [stealth] for that long, I won't have enough mana to fight. I couldn't even use [shadow step] to teleport in or the trap will acticate.

Thinking for a long 5 minutes, the door opened with the bang followed by a vaccum with a suction on par with a blackhole. Instead, I couldn't be torn apart due to my decent vitality and strength pushing away the force. Once the suction stopped, a menacing deep voice resounded from the corner of the room followed by a laugh. Stiffling his laughter, he challenged me. "You who passed the guards what is it that you want?" (Vadim)

"Your head."

"Oh~ what a coincidence. I think the same!" (Vadim)

To him, I was merely an intruder. Guess I'll have to introduce myself. "I am Emily Shuu, recognise that name? Cause I'll be taking yours."

"You...you're still alive?! I received a report that you were dead! Well this just makes it more convenient, if that party was incompetent, it was fate that brought you to me to kill conveniently in my mansion. You'll soon join your father, unfortunately as you guys were, he was only killed a week ago"(Vadim)

"You bastard...!" Eyes flaring off with anger, dark eye shadows manifesting, I slowly walked towards him. I never learned his full name, only the family name of Vadim and I never will. I will keep going forward without a care.

"Oh ho~? Instead of finding a way to escape, you're coming right to me? Well, this just makes things more convenient for me. I'll show you the difference between a level 700 and 600."(Vadim)
