Cassie pushed Elina away but looking at her crying self, she felt something weird. It definitely didn't make her happy today. She pulled her up and walked towards the dormitory.
"You better stay here without making trouble for anyone. Please, I beg you! I have to go out for some work, we will discuss what we need to do next once I come back. Here, prepare for the next exams and do not let your mind wander around" Cassie threw some book near her and left.
Cassie walked out of the college gate and took a bus to the address which was written behind the envelope which Jennifer gave. After looking at the address she twisted her eyebrows, as it showed a famous psychiatric clinic that only accepted selected people and its entry was strictly prohibited for outsiders.
Now she had doubts if they would even let her enter that place. Should I call Jennifer and inform her about this? Then if she asks me why do I know about these details, then it would be difficult to answer her at this moment.
She definitely could not disclose that she visited this place every year at least once as per her sponsor's request. In the beginning, she thought it was just a regular health check-up but later when she had grown up a little, she understood what exactly was going on.
Until she joined this college, she regularly went for a visit every year but after she decided to live in the dormitories, the sponsor did not force her anymore and let her be.
He stopped himself from involving much in her life and let her make her own decisions. He even withdrew the bodyguard whom he assigned. But he still continued the sponsorship and even made a promise to her that whatever she wants, he would make sure that she would get it no matter what.
Cassie when she thought about it, she realized that everything he gave her is all because of his guilt consciousness. She even stopped showing interest in studies as her family's murderer was the one who was sponsoring until now.
Now she had only one goal in her life, that was to make sure that he would get punished for what he had done to her family. The pain which he inflicted on her, she would make sure to return ten folds of that to him and his family.
When the bus stopped in front of the building, she got down and walked inside while wearing a cap. She took a lace scarf, rolled it around her neck, and lifted it until her nose. She tried to hide her face as much as possible while trying to avoid cameras around that area.
"Hi, I was asked to deliver this letter to Sherley. Could you please help me inform her about this?" Cassie asked the receptionist.
The receptionist lady looked at her weirdly and said, "You can just leave it here, I will send the letter later to her office."
"No. I was asked to give it to her directly. So, can you please try to inform her once?" Cassie adamantly stood there staring at the lady who showed slight impatience now.
"Alright, You can wait over there! I will call her assistant to check if she is expecting someone with a letter" she said sarcastically.
The receptionist pretended to make a call, and then she got busy with her fashion magazine. Cassie stared at her but did not say anything. The receptionist looked back and just shook her shoulders.
Fine! If she wants me to wait then I wait! Cassie went towards one of the fancy sofas and dropped herself comfortably. She just pulled her cap on her face and even started to snore in a few minutes.
The guy who was sitting next to her noticed her behavior and put on a smile on his face. This was the first time he had smiled after so many years.
"Didn't you say that you couldn't smile or feel any happy emotions for a long time? What do I see here? Look how handsome you look when you smile, Tyler" Sherley, came towards him while extending her arm.
"Sherley, good to see you. I guess this young lady came to meet you but your receptionist over there definitely did a good job to stop her from seeing you!" Tyler hugged her while his eyes roamed on Cassie's face.
Tyler moved near her and tried to take something from next to her. But before his hand could move away, Cassie caught his hand and held it tight.
"Ouch! Ouch!Ouch! Let go! What is wrong with you??" Tyler shouted.
"That is my bag! You even had the guts to steal it? You thief!" Cassie stood up while trying to twist Tyler's hand and her saliva drooling from the corner of her mouth making her definitely ugly
"What do you mean by your bag?" Tyler said with a smirk on his face.
Cassie looked down and realized that it was actually not her bag, not only that he did not even hold a bag in his hand! It was a file! He was holding a file! Damn it! Ahhhhh!!
She immediately let go and looked at him with a blank face. What is wrong with her? Why is she behaving like a stupid? She held her head and rubbed her hair.
"I guess this is for you" Cassie handed the envelope to the only lady who was standing next to Tyler.
Cassie woke up immediately when she heard the name, Sherley. She then assumed that the lady in front of her was Sherley, once she gave the envelope to her she ran away.
But later she realized her stupidity and came running back. Tyler thought she came back to apologize to him.
So he said, "It is ok! Not a problem at all!"
But Cassie ignored him and did not even give him a glance at all. She went near the lady and asked, "Are you, Sherley?"
"Yes, I am," Sherley replied.
Cassie then just nodded her head and left. Tyler then started to laugh which made Sherley wonder if he was the same person who comes to her session every week.
"Did you see that? Really? How can such a girl exist?"Tyler spoke in between his laugh.
"Looks like you do not need today's session. Why not let us go for lunch instead?" Sherley asked.
"Sure. Why not? I feel completely relaxed today! I think I should consider hiring her as my assistant, then I would be even more relaxed every day" Tyler said.
"If I am you, then I will stay far away from her" Sherley said with a warning tone.
"Do you know her?" Tyler asked with his eyes full of anticipation.
"It is better for you to not know or even be accustomed to a few people, it is for your own safety. So tell me when your next album is released. I would like to buy the first copy once it hits the market. My daughter just loves your songs!" Sherley tried to change the subject.
"So you won't tell me, no matter what I offer? How about I come to your daughter's birthday next week and perform?" Tyler tried to bargain so that he could get even a tiny bit of information about the girl who left.
"You are invited but we have decided to celebrate her birthday overseas! Maybe you can sing a song for me now, then I would decide depending on how you perform whether I should give you the details or not?" Sherley mocked Tyler.
"So is knowing her details that scary?? Or you just do not want to disclose your client's confidentiality. Alright, fine! Just let me at least know her name! Please" Tyler begged her.
"No" Looking at how Sherley was trying to hide even a name from him, his mind decided to find everything about that girl immediately.
"Fine, then have your lunch by yourself! I am leaving!! Bye-bye!!" Tyler left her in the middle of the street and turned back to chase the unknown girl who left like wind.
He suddenly turned around and said, "Oh! By the way, I messaged your husband to accompany you for lunch. I am not as cruel as you. Just look at his face like every other day and enjoy your lunch! You do not deserve to eat lunch with a handsome hunk like me."
He even made funny faces which made her speechless. Really? Does he have to behave like this to even his best friend? Me? Next time, when he comes back, I will ask him to go somewhere else for his session. Why do I have to take care of such an ungrateful brat?
Once he was out of sight, Sherley immediately took her phone out and dialed her mother, Marie's number.
"Mom, I think I may have created slight trouble for you. Tyler seems to be interested in Cassie and I do not know how we can handle this situation"
"Don't worry. Just let it be! She is a grown-up now and it is time for her to make her own decisions. We have taken care of her till now, it is time for her to see the real world." Marie said.
"Don't you think we need to report it to her sponsor?" Sherley asked.
"No! Do not interfere in her life anymore and just enjoy your lunch with your husband" Marie said jovially.
"Ohh!!! The news sure traveled faster than air" Sherley cut the phone but still looked worried at the direction where Tyler disappeared as she thought these two people must have never met.
