Chapter 2 - Chapter 2. Painful Memories and Lost ones. (Part 1)

As Hercul Raegos lead Daemos Faewen towards the village leader's hut, he looked at the youth who has cause quite a bit of trouble for the village for over these last few months. The youth wasn't from their village nor did Hercul know where he came from before then. Hercul eyed the weird youth. Daemos was kind of wiry with a decent muscled build like that of a person who lived their life hunting to survive. Daemos' skin was pale white but seemed like it gave off a slight hint of grey. His ears were slightly curved to a point at the tips unlike most of the villagers who had rounded ears. Hercul just assumed it was a defect from birth. Daemos eyes were what really stood out to Hercul though, they were like golden wolves eyes with reptile's pupils. No villager were sure what to make of Daemos' eyes not even Hercul as they gave of an eerie feeling when one looked into them. Hercul was about a good 3 inches taller than the lad, but he had a feeling the lad would become taller than him in the future. Daemos' eyes darted here or there like they were tracking all movement in the area and anything that made a sound was instantly met with his gaze. Hercul spoke after a bit in a gruff but stern voice "Daemos what are you doing here? You know we don't like you in the village after you nearly got 3 kids killed in your weird schemes last week." Daemos winced at that not wanting to be reminded of an unfortunate incident that occurred during one of his visits. The villagers blamed him for it but the irony was he didn't have anything to with that event. He tried to tell the villagers several times that was not his doing but they naturally did not believe him since his pranks did go a bit far sometimes. Daemos didn't say anything at all just remained silent as they walked occasionally messing with a necklace that he wore with a weird gem on it. The gem would feel warm to the touch as he played with it when he was nervous or thinking. It was purple on top and blue on the bottom, it was all he had left of his family. Nobody knew much about Daemos and he liked it that way, because the less they knew the less it hurt. He was about 5 or 6 years old when it happened. His family was happy back then to him. He had no complaints, his father would take him into the woods with him and taught him how to trap animals and hunt them with a dagger or bow. He killed his first rabbit on his own at 3 years old by the time he was 5 years old he could hunt a deer on his own. His mother would do the house chores cooking, cleaning, and laundry. She would sew all the clothes that he managed to get holes in when he would go on a hunt. His little brother was just beginning to learn how to hunt from his father. His older sister would help his mother with the chores. His younger sister was weird she wanted to go hunting with them she was a few minutes younger than him. His twin in every way but her hair and eyes where more of a somber red color. She would challenge him to hunting games to see who could get the most kills by the end of the day "biggest counted as two" she would always say. They were in a small clearing in the forrest there were maybe all of 3 other families in the area alongside theirs. Daemos and his twin sister had just woken up getting ready to go on their hunting trip like every day. Daemos looked at his sister and said in a mocking tone. "Bet I can find the biggest prize today and still get the most kills Laera." as he says that he sticks his tongue out and pulls down his bottom eyelid making Laera laugh and reply in a soft gentle voice that seemed to ride the wind when she spoke. "No you won't othro (brother) it will be I who wins this day." She smirked as she got up gently and gracefully like the wind helped her stand up. She glided easily as she ran with her hunting bow and dagger in hand laughing as she did. Daemos smiled and ran after her. It was night time when he was heading back to the house his kills in tow. He got to the first clearing when he saw smoke worried he left his kills against a tree. As he ran as fast as he could, he got to his family's clearing and saw all the huts were on fire and people in weird outfits grabbing all the villagers. Any who resisted seemed to be struck over the head with a wooden stick of some sort or stabbed with a long metal sword . Daemos watched from behind a tree in the shadows far enough away to not be spotted by the weird people. He saw his father stabbed as he tried to protect his mother and his siblings who were being chained up by their arms and legs. He saw so much needless bloodshed, as they were starting to leave Daemos started to feel a rage deep inside him. He charged out with his hunting bow, everything seemed to slow down around him. He notched an arrow and let loose. -bleeak- An arrow goes through on of the weird people's neck with pin point accuracy. Another arrow was notched and released as soon as the first was released from the bow. -awaaaoow- An arrow goes into the eye of one of the weird people knocking off the metal hat they were wearing. Rounded ears showing from the now helmet-less man. The other men charging towards Daemos with anger on their faces. -fwuuk bleeeaah- An arrow goes into another weird person's face as he screams in pain and slumps forward onto the ground dead. the weird people now close to Daemos as he turns. -Swaaaaaackk- one of the weird people hit him hard across the head. Daemos' Vision starts to fade instantly and then last thing he remembers is falling forward. He woke up bound in chains his head felt like it was on fire. He blinks a few time trying to regain his sight slowly as he looks around him. His mother and siblings were across from him, they all look solemn and with tears in their eyes. Daemos speaks to his mother with concern. "Verra (Mother) what happened to Drakk? (Father)" Noticing his father wasn't there. His mother spoke with a sad tune to her voice. "Your Drakk is dead Ballum. (son) Your Allirsa (sisters) and your Othro are all upset about it but you Ballum show no emotion about it." Daemos realized at that point he did not feel anything about his father's death. To him it was just a part of nature, you live and you die. A few days go by as they are captured and as they get close to the edge of the forest another group of weird people which he found out they were Kerlot. (humans) These humans were wearing two different sets of outfits in different colors. They did not seem to like each other based on that and soon arrows were let loose on both sides and men with swords charged each other. -thruuuuk- an arrow lands into the ground at Daemos' feet with the scent of blood on it, as he looked down at it. There was dark blood on it and then he heard his sablio (siblings) cry out. "Verra, Verra, Othro Verra is no more." Daemos slowly looked up at where his mother's body was now slumped over the arrow had gone through her chest and pierced the ground. Daemos picked up the arrow and put the head of it into the locking mechanism of his chains freeing himself. Then he went and freed his sablio. "We have to run sablio and get away from here there is no time no to mourn Verra." Daemos said in an icy and distant tone, as he made his way away from the chaos that ensued behind him. -fraaauh- An arrow pierced through his older sister's neck.
