He stood there like an idiot staring at the sky.

His thoughts couldn't help but became chaotic, from the unfamiliar yet familiar scene, what people took for granted. He had dreamed of.

Reorganizing his thoughts Chen Mo noticed, the female standing in front of him, and her clothes.
Quickly, he brought his fist and palm together, and greeted the female in front of him.
"Junior Brother Li Ba, greets senior sister?"
"You can call me senior sister Jie"
She replied with a smile, yet not.
Chen Mo who was feeling frustrated at calling someone who was obviously younger then him by at least 10 years, senior, was quick to reply

He didn't know if this female was acquainted, with the true Li Ba, so he had to thread through this carefully.
What he did know through the information the scared Li Ba had given him, that the girl in front of him is a patriarchal disciple of the sect.
patriarchal disciples are even stronger than the elders of the sect, mentored by the great sect patriarch himself.
"Junior brother Li Ba why did you come out alone, where is the other inner disciples and elders"
The worst case scenario had come, he couldn't even change his expression while reporting his excuse.
With a smiling face, he replied.
"We were ambushed in the dead of the night, Ghouls lead by a night ghoul had ambushed us, and the elders…..they couldn't stand a chance, Elder Sima had sent me to report as urgently as possible."
The girl who was looking at him with a questioning look made a shocked expression.

The loud screech of a bird, sounded as the arrow set off, it kept accelerating, at a very rapid rate.
Jie Who had already backed off, started to turn pale at the residue damage the arrow was dealing, while approaching her.
'Shit, I shouldn't have let my guard down'
She had underestimated her enemy, a fatal mistake for someone of her caliber.
Her face had grown red from shame rather than rage.
"HERAAAAAAAAA"
With a battlecry she pulled a gigantic amount of QI from her dantian into her palm and started executing one of her sects powerful arts.
"Serene Gate of water!!"
The Qi in her hand started to run in circles, turning into a huge water vortex as it engulfed the incoming arrow.
Slowly the vortex shipped off the arrows firepower.
At that Jie let out small sigh of relief, but in that exact moment.

the dying fire on the arrow, revived even stronger, engulfing and vaporizing, the water vortex in one huge explosion.
Jie was thrown back a couple of meters her right arm all burned up, she looked at the spot where the explosion had just happened with disbelief, there a huge firebird stood with elegance for a few seconds, then it disappeared.
'No way, an advanced law?'
She stood up with an even more resolute look on her eyes.
'We must catch him'
As she looked around, Chen Mo was nowhere to be spotted.

Chen Mo who was standing on the walls of the city, clicked his tongue as he looked down, at the head below.

He was truly shocked when he saw its head.

The gate seemed to be high up in the air, and the only way to reach it was through flying means.
Turning around he could see the sect people approaching him.

Jie who had finally found the guy, who seemed extremely tired, a sign of Qi exhaustion.

She sneered, but what she saw next made her frown.
Chen Mo didn't hesitate anymore, he jumped off the walls he couldn't afford to get caught, he had way too many secrets on him.

Rather he was the one approaching it.

he had been excpecting far more damage to himself, but to his surprise he had actually almost gotten close to none of injuries.
The feathers below him had absorbed most of the impact, but he was dizzy from the fall nonetheless, standing up he balanced himself while studying the creature he was on.
