Chapter 6 - Town

The Canodiyn Geese turned around to inspect what had fallen on its back, but it was surprised to find nothing.

It looked around carefully for a while, then resumed its peaceful flight with a carefree look on its face.

Chen Mo who also resumed his flight, rather, his fall, cursed his luck.

'I'd rather jump off then stay on that thing'

he mumbled with a grave tone.

The evil of the canadiyn goose was something he read about in one of the sacred books of the land of 12 extremities, so he knew full well, that he had more chances of survival in resuming his fall than staying on its back.

But thankfully, the goose did make his fall much easier, as he was now much closer to the earth.

Chen Mo coated himself in Qi to lessen the impact effect on himself, when the Qi coated his full body, he had already scanned the landscape in front of him.

'Great there is a town nearby'

He mumbled right before he collided with the land.

Rumble!

In the nearby town, a small child brought his hands together and closed his eyes as he witnessed what he thought to be a falling star.

'Please protect big bro'

Back to Chen Mo, who wasn't really in much of a good state.

His clothes had caught on fire, and he looked bruised all over, standing in the middle of a huge crater, he took out a small pink pill from the pouch on his waist throwing it directly into his mouth, making a swallowing motion, he sat down in a lotus form, and started circling Qi in order to ingest the pill.

Slowly the bruises and injuries all over his body started to heal, till they dissapeared completely, as if they never existed.

Sighing inwardly, Chen Mo started to take in his surroundings, except for the huge crater he had made, everything else was green, patched of dirt and grass and dirt everywhere, with tall tree's covering the sun with their strong branches and tall leafs.

Chen Mo admired the sight for a second and started moving again, he didn't want to make the same mistake again, standing there like an idiot till some kind of trouble showed up again.

While on the move he started changing his clothes from the now burned sect clothes into a grey loose shirt, pants, with a Conical hat on top of his head and wood sandals.

He looked just like any regular peasant, that is if you didn't consider his height and his very defined muscles.

The tree's shook as he jumped off from one to another, the far away town, surrounded with stone brick walls, became clearer with every leap he took.

The excitement he felt increased the closer he got to the town he spotted 2 people standing infront of the town gate, slowing down, he started approaching them, whil observing the 20 meters tall walls with admiration in his eyes.

But to the guards, who saw the expressionless face under the hat, they felt like he was sizing up the walls in order to spot any other presences.

One of the three nervously swallowed, grasping his spear, he walked towards Chen Mo.

« You there, what do you want .»

Chen Mo with his eyes now focused on the slightly thin man, noticed how nervous the guard was., raising his hands up high to show that he meant no harm.

« im but a merchant, my caravan was ambushed by an enemy on the road, i had to walk into the forest, in order to escape, thankfully a meteor seems to have fallen nearby that scared the forest beasts, buying me enough time to get here »

He spoke out an excuse that he thought up long time ago.

The guard with slightly less weary eye's questioned.

« What kind of merchant are you ? »

« I sell weapon's »

The guard's eye's brightned up at the man's reply and he quickly questioned again.

« Do you perhaps..still have the weapons on you ?»

Chen Mo didn't miss the look in the man's eye's, and he smiled iwardly, hes entrance to the town, seems to be already guarenteed.

« Yes i still have them on me »

The guard expression suddenly changed to a pleading look, and he said.

« Sir please help us »

Chen Mo was now sitting in front of an old man that looked like he would drop dead at the next moment, his eye's latched on the bag of gold in front of him.

He raised his head and looked at the old man, who was looking at him with a nervous look.

« is it …not enough ? »

Chen Mo at the question, contemplated, the weapons the man was asking to buy were mere mortal weapons, but he had yet to actually know the value of them.

He wasn't really a merchant after all, but he needed the gold to supply his life needs, he didn't want to use the gold he got from the land of 12 extremities as it brought too much risk to himself, and his worries were further confirmed after the old man had took out the gold coins which clearly looked different than the ones that were used back in the 77 planes.

« Alright lets proceed with the trade »
