As Thomas slept on the counter at the guild Avonia moved around him nervously and mumbled "All you have to do is wake him and tell him that the man from yesterday is her to talk to him, come on Avonia, you can do this." As she tapped his back she quickly moved away and hid behind a chair. Toby stared at her and asked "Are you really the same woman from yesterday?" Avonia glanced at Toby and whispered "If you knew how many people he's killed you'd be acting the same as me." Toby stared at her and asked "And about how many people would that be?" Avonia stared at Thomas with a terrified look and said "I don't know the exact amount, but it's definitely beyond any number you can think of."
Toby thought for a moment and said "How about a trillion?" Avonia glanced at him and said "No, the stench of blood if far worse then a trillion." Toby scratched the back of his head and said "So he's killed enough to dwarf the population of this planet?" Avonia nodded and said "Exactly, so we shouldn't bother him so we can live." As she said this Toby become to poke his back and say "Hey, wake up, I got some news about some fountain of youth, Gwen told me to tell you about." Toby glanced back at Avonia who had a terrified look on her face and said "I don't think he's gonna wake up anytime soon." Avonia hid further away from them and said "Then we still have time to get away."
Toby stared at her for a moment and said "Right, I'm not buying it, I know he's strong, but I don't think he'd kill as many people as you accused him of." Avonia pointed at him and shouted "Fine don't believe me then, just don't blame me when he wakes up and kills us both!" As she shouted this Thomas slowly sat up while mumbling "What's going on?" Avonia began to shake in fear as Toby said "Oh you are awake." Thomas glanced at him and said "Oh, good to see ya, what did you need me for?" Toby handed him a piece of paper and said "Gwen looked into some fountain of youth thing and said that you'd want this information." Thomas stared at the paper for a moment and said "This is information on a spell, it doesn't say anything about a fountain."
Toby thought for a minute and said "Maybe that was just my imagination, anyway, she said to give you this paper." Thomas stared at it for a few moments and said "Apparently I can link my years of life to their." Thomas stared at the bottom of the paper and read "If spell is linked to a person's life who far exceeds the others the person will continue to look what they looked like in their prime." Thomas glanced at Toby and said "So they can still age?" Toby shrugged and said "Gwen didn't say anything about getting old." Thomas wrapped the paper up and said "I'm sure it'll work, Gwen seems reliable after all." Toby shrugged and said "I don't know, the black market seems kinda risky, do you really wanna put your faith in it?"
Thomas glanced at Toby for a for seconds and said "I'll take my chances with it, I mean, worst case scenario it doesn't work and I have to jump into another dimension and hope I find another way to prolong their life." Toby stared at him and said "Right... but shouldn't you just let their life's run their own course?" Thomas held the rolled up paper in front of him and said "Maybe your right." Thomas sighed and burnt the paper in front of himself and said "I'll just let them live their lives, prolonging it might be cruel." Toby smiled and said "That's more like it, you shouldn't make others live as long as you." Thomas stared at the ashes and said "I was actually thinking about this before, it's similar to Poppy, she's stuck existing so long as I'm alive."
Thomas glanced at Toby with an awkward smile and said "I'd rather not force people to live because of my own desires." Toby smiled and said "Then live life with them and enjoy it to the fullest." As Toby looked behind himself for Avonia he seen her peeking out from behind a table and asked "What are you doing?" Thomas glanced at Avonia and said "Oh, when did you get here?" Avonia stood up straight and bowed as she said "I didn't mean to sneak up on you." Thomas and Toby stared at her for a few moments and said "Relax some." Avonia glanced at Toby while pointing at Thomas and shouted "I can't relax while he's around!" Avonia quickly covered her mouth and shouted "I didn't mean that, I'm sorry!"
Thomas stared at Avonia and said "I highly doubt I'm as strong as you think I am." Avonia stood still and said "With that amount of blood lust, there is no way I am willing to believe that your not strong enough to kill this entire planet if you wanted to." Toby glanced above Thomas head and said "Well I guess he is, a bit stronger then before." Toby leaned towards Thomas and asked "What the hell did you do to raise your level another sixty five levels?" Thomas glanced at Toby and said "Another sixty five?" Toby nodded and whispered "Your level is one hundred and ninety two." Thomas glanced above Toby and said "And yours is one hundred and seventeen." Toby sighed and said "Every time I think I've caught up to you, you go and make the gap even bigger."
Toby stared at him and asked "What the hell do you even do to get so strong?" Thomas thought for a moment and said "You know how I'm always sleeping?" Toby nodded and said "Yeah, what about it?" Thomas smiled and said "I'm actually training in my subconscious." Toby stared at him and said "That means that your training in your sleep and while your awake." Thomas nodded and said "Yup, and Poppy helps me get stronger while I'm in the subconscious." Toby stared at him and said "So when your asleep your actually training to the fullest?" Thomas thought for a moment and said "Well, not entirely, i also just sleep normally a lot to."
Avonia stared at him and said "Then your level of strength can be attained by anyone?" Thomas nodded and said "Yup, after all I am probably the weakest of the races." Toby nodded and said "Yeah, Demi humans are on the lowest part of the hierarchy." Avonia smiled and said "Then Ik not completely weaker then you, I can achieve the same level as strength as you by training, and boost it even more with blood." Thomas glared at her and said "If you kill a single person and I find out about it-" however before he could finish talking Avonia bowed down and said "N-no of course, I didn't mean people, I-I meant I'd get blood from the monsters that attack town!"
Thomas scratched the back of his head and said "Well alright then, that fine, it's not against the law or anything." Toby glanced at Thomas and said "Oh right, I almost forgot, how did you get the guards to stop pursuing her?" Thomas leaned on the counter and yawned while saying "They said it was fine so long as I dealt with her and any issues involving her." Toby stared at Avonia and asked "Does that mean she's put her evil ways behind her?" Avonia pointed at Toby and said "Don't think for a moment that you've-" Avonia froze in place and stopped taking as she felt Thomas's glare on her. Avonia glanced at him and said "Of course I put my evil ways behind me." Toby stared at her and said "I'll also help keep you under control."
Toby glanced at Thomas and said "I'll put her on the right path if she's doing something wrong." Thomas yawned and said "That's fine." Avonia pointed at Toby and said "I won't listen to weak pathetic scum like you!" Toby glanced at her and said "I don't think you should go around calling people that." Avonia stomped on top of the table and shouted "Oh yeah, then fight me if you want me to stop!" Toby glanced at Thomas and asked "Is it really okay to let her go like this?" Thomas waved his hand and said "She's not causing the city people any harm by going a quick match with you." Toby stared at him and said "But what if she destroys my armor or kills me!"
Thomas glared at Avonia and said "You don't have to worry about her killing anyone." Avonia froze for a few moments before saying "O-of course, I won't kill anyone." As Thomas stood up and walked out of the building Toby shouted "But what about my armor?" Thomas shrugged and said "Just avoid getting hit." Once Thomas was gone Avonia stared at Toby with an evil smile and said "Now that he's gone we can finally play a little." Toby stared at her and said "Now hold on, I'm sure he'd be mad if you cut me up." Avonia cracked her knuckles and said "That's why I'm only gonna bruise you a little." Toby flinched and said "Now hold on, we can talk about this."
