As Thomas sat down in the water with Mary he yawned and said "Maybe I over did it a bit?" Mary began to soaks around in the water as she said "Yeah, but it was super cool." Thomas leaned his head back and said "Yeah but I'll have to take it easy for a while." Mary nodded and said "Yeah, but I'm sure you'll be fine even if you don't rest." Thomas began to yawn once more as he said "I'll take it you know I'm not just gonna sit around and do nothing." Mary nodded while saying "Ya, your probably gonna increase your weights and then fight some more monster." Mary stared at him and said "I bet you'll continue to protect this town."
Thomas's eyes began to feel heavy and he slowly began to close them as he said "Maybe." As he opened his eyes he found himself in a forest, all alone and trees as far as the eye could see. Thomas began to glance around as he said "This isn't the subconscious, I'm I awake right now?" After glancing around he began to walk off as he said "No, I'm definitely asleep right now, I have my clothes on and the jacket that had a burn through the shoulder." Thomas sighed and said "I'm gonna end up losing track of what's reality and what isn't pretty soon." Thomas continued to move forward as he yawned and said "Feeling tired in a dream, I'm not even sure how this makes sense."
As the ground began to shake he stared down at his feet and said "What the hell?" Moments after the shaking began the ground cracked around a mountain like creature arose from it. The higher the creature Rose the more visible it became. Soon after all you could see was a huge shadowy creature covered with limbs on its side that just slowly moved around, the tentacle like appendages continued to live without rest as the creature glared at Thomas. The creature continued to stared at him and then two bright red glowing eyes opened and continued to stare at him. Thomas stared at the creature and without even hesitating asked "Are you supposed to be my inner demon or some bullshit like that?"
As one of the tentacles moved towards him a loud raspy voice said "I am far worse then any demon you can think of." As a the tentacle surrounded Thomas he yawned and said "Yeah yeah, get on with the usual villain monologue." The creature picked Thomas up with its tentacle and said "You better watch what you say, I am above those gods you know." Thomas glanced at the tentacle around him and asked "Is this a lucid wet dream, I feel like I should tell you I'm not the tentacle type." The creature pulled him closer to one of its eyes and said "I can see every sin you've ever done, I can make you feel pain you never though existed and yet you continue to tempt death."
Thomas smiled and said "This is probably just my mind getting back at me, nothing more then my guilty conscience, that's why you know all of the sins I've committed." The creature slightly tightened its grip and asked "Are you really the pinnacle?" The creature loosened its grip and dropped Thomas while saying "I felt a great surge of power that covered all of reality in every dimension, I've come to find you as the center point, if you don't wish to die you'll do exactly as I say." Thomas stood there in front of the creature and said "Do what you say?" Thomas turned around and began to walk off as he said "I'm busy with something else so if it doesn't benefit me then I'm leaving."
The creature blocked his path and said "Heed my warning, there are other beings like me who seek to destroy this being called the pinnacle, those creatures will likely be on their way here and they won't be as friendly as me." Thomas glanced back at the creature and said "Others like you?" The creature nodded and said "Yes and they'll be coming here to kill you, I heard that the pinnacle disappeared o few hundred thousand millennium ago, almost as if he stopped existing, but his existence is still known, and almost every dimensional being seeks to destroy it." Thomas scratched the back of his head and said "That sounds like a pain in the ass."
The creature began to fade as he said "If you really are the pinnacle your death will cause chaos, I shall protect you incase you happen to be the creature known as the pinnacle, I shall keep my existence hidden from this dimension and all others while observing you." Once the creature completely vanished the floor began to crumble and crack beneath his feet and fall off into a seemingly endless void. Thomas glanced up into the sky and watched as it faded leaving him in the center of darkness. As Thomas stood on the final piece of ground that had yet to crumble he sighed and asked "Why is everything so complicated."
As the final piece of ground crumbled he began to fall and mumbled "But if this isn't a lucid dream, then I could be in danger." As he opened his eyes he seen Mary a few inches away from his face asking "Are you okay, I've been calling your name for a while now." Thomas stared at her for a few seconds and then smiled as he said "Ya sorry, I must've fallen asleep on you." Mary stared at him and said "Sleeping is okay, besides you fought an entire army all by yourself." Thomas stared at her for a few seconds and then heard a familiar voice say "So that was you they were talking about." Thomas glanced behind himself and seen Toby standing there covered in blood.
Toby sat down beside him and said "I thought it was strange I hadn't seen you for a while, I guess that means you were training to become even stronger." Mary stared at Toby and said "Actually he's been asleep this whole time." Toby flinched and asked "Wait are you serious?" Thomas stared at him and nodded without saying a word. Toby stared at him and said "Most of the guilds and me struggled to fend off that army, and you just beat them yourself, I gotta say, I'm impressed, but it doesn't look like you were able to do it completely unscathed." Thomas covered his eyes in embarrassment and said "Yeah they caused a bit of damage to me."
Toby leaned back against the back of the bath and said "These bath houses are actually pretty nice, all sorts of adventures can share stories here, and meet up to just relax." Toby glanced at Mary and said "Although, it is a bit strange to have a little girl in a bath house with so many men." Thomas glanced at Toby and said "The sign says mixed bathing, so it's fine right?" Toby nodded and said "Well sure it's fine, but don't you think it would be better if she went to the female's bath with Mira or someone?" Thomas thought for a moment and asked "But isn't a bath just a bath?" Toby sighed and said "Yes their isn't much difference but shouldn't you think about this in a more... grown up way."
Thomas stared at him even more confused and asked "What do you mean more grown up way?" Toby began to blush as he said "You know, as a man and woman, shouldn't you make sure that no one is looking at her?" Thomas continued to stare at Toby and asked "As a man and woman?" Thomas stared at him and said "Oh, I think I get it now." Toby stared at him and said "I really don't think you do." Thomas stared at Toby and said "You think she should bathe in the female area because she doesn't have a-" as Toby cut him off he shouted "Never mind I think you understand it quite well!"
Thomas stared at him more confused then before and asked "What's wrong with saying she doesn't have the usual strength of the other adventures?" Toby stared at him and said "Oh, so you really don't get it." Thomas tilted his head and asked "Get what?" Toby sighed and said "Never mind." Mary sat down on the other side of Thomas and asked "Are we gonna do more quests after this, I really wanna test the power module." Thomas glanced at her and said "Sure, we can do some quests after this." Toby stared at him and said "I'm probably gonna do the same, I need to get stronger and beat this demon lord." Thomas yawned and said "Good luck, we'll probably get through a few quests and then call it a day." Thomas smiled and said "Actually I think I'll work myself down to the bone tonight and get as many quests done as I can."
