As Opal and Thomas made it further and further into the dungeon Opal watched as Thomas slaughtered dozens of giant spiders. Opal glanced at Thomas and said "You've gotten stronger." Thomas nodded and said "Well I do get attacked a lot so I guess I have plenty of opportunities to improve." Opal stared at Thomas and said "If you'd like to get stronger you should stop by our dimension, with the time ratio you could be ten times stronger in only a day of this dimensions time." Thomas caught an icicle that was heading towards Opal and said "I guess I could do that." Thomas tossed the icicle back at the spider as he said "But I don't mind continuing to grow stronger in this dimension either." As the icicle hit the spider it stayed lodged in its head and the spider collapsed while its blood covered the ground. Opal stared at Thomas and said "I suppose that's fine to, as long as you continue to fight with me I'm fine with either option you choose." Opal smiled and said "If you quit fighting me though I'd be very bored, so thank you and please continue to do so." Thomas nodded and said "Sure, I don't mind." Opal looked around and asked "Where should we go next?" Thomas began to walk off as he said "Probably back to the city." Opal stared at Thomas and asked "Do you know of any strong people who might wanna fight me?" Thomas shook his head and said "I don't think anyone is gonna wanna fight a kid." Opal stared at him and said "You know I'm not a kid!" Thomas nodded and said "Yeah well that doesn't mean other people won't assume your a kid." Opal sighed and said "If only fairy queens and kings grew beyond this I wouldn't be treated like a kid every time I visit you." Thomas smiled and said "Don't let it bother you too much kid." Opal stared at him and said "Let's just get to the bottom of this place and get what your looking for." Thomas nodded and said "Yeah we should focus a little more on the problem at hand." Opal held the sleeve of the jacket back with her hand as she aimed her other hand directly at the ground. Thomas stared at her and asked "Are you about to do what I think your going to do?" Opal nodded and said "I'm gonna use wind magic to tear through to the bottom of the dungeon." As Opal began to fly she said "Prepare yourself, I'm gonna blast through to the bottom." Thomas glanced around and mumbled "Is there even a safe place I can hide while she does this?" As a gust of wind hit the floor it began to crack and pieces of it began to fall through to the next floor. Thomas swayed back and forth trying to keep his balance as he shouted "Do you mind holding back a little bit more?" As the floor they were on collapsed Thomas landed on the floor beneath them and said "Guess it's too late to ask her to hold back now." Thomas glanced up at her and heard the floor beneath him begin to crack once again as he said "Looks like we ain't at the bottom yet." As various pieces of rubble and debris fell near and on top of Thomas he mumbled "I'm gonna be crushed to death." After falling through another three floors Thomas mumbled "I would've preferred the stairs." As Opal lowered herself she landed on top of the rubble lightly and said "We've made it to the lowest floor." Opal began to look around as she asked "Are you hiding somewhere." Thomas lifted a giant piece of the floor up off of himself as he said "I wouldn't call it hiding." Thomas pushed the rubble aside and held his arm as he mumble "I think it might be broken." Opal rushes over to him and asked "Are you alright?" Thomas nodded and said "Yeah I'm fine, let's just find that thing and leave." Opal poked the arm he was holding and asked "Does it hurt." Thomas let out a grunt of pain as he asked "Please don't poke it." Opal nervously stared at his arm and said "This wouldn't have happened if I had held back more." Thomas shook his head and said "This isn't your fault, I'm just weak compared to you, if I had gotten stronger this wouldn't have been an issue." Opal looked around and said "I'll find the object you just sit down and rest for a while." Thomas began o sniff the air as he said "It'll be quicker if we both look." Opal closed her eyes and said "No, you should sit there and wait, your hurt right now so don't over exert yourself." As Opal opened her eyes her and Thomas were staying at the same spot under the rubble. They both began to walk towards it as Opal said "If your not gonna sit still please be extra careful." As Opal lifted a very large piece of debris she seen an amulet sitting there underneath it. Thomas glanced at Opal and asked "Do you think that's it?" Opal shrugged and said "Your the one with the information about this stuff." Thomas sighed and said "Unfortunately the book has locations and the objects they contain on separate pages and it doesn't exactly tell you where that specific object is." Thomas leapt down and grabbed it as he said "I can smell magic on it, so I guess it might be the right object." Opal pushed the rubble aside and floated down to him as she said "Perhaps you should try it on and see if anything changes." Thomas put the amulet on as he said "Okay." As he put the amulet on he moved his injured arm back and forth. Opal stared at his arm nervously and said "Careful your still hurt!" Thomas began to move his arm faster as he said "But it doesn't hurt anymore." Opal grabbed his arm and said "Still you should stop moving it." Thomas glanced at the amulet and said "This might be that amulet that heals injuries." Thomas sniffed the air and said "The only problem with it is that it needs to be charged with mana in order to work." Thomas room the amulet off and said "And it smells like I used its last charge." Opal grabbed the amulet and said "It's my fault you had to waste the charge, I'll try to add another charge to it." After standing there for a few seconds Opal handed him the amulet back and said "I don't know how many charges I added to it but I feel as though I've used a lot of mana." Thomas sniffed the amulet and said "The amulet has way more then ten times the mana it previously had." Opal nodded and said "That's good, I expect you to use it when you're in a dangerous situation." Thomas our the amulet in his sub space and said "Sure, but I doubt I'll need it." Opal stared at him and said "Even so, keep it on you and use it when needed." Thomas created a mana door in front of him and said "Okay, I will." Opal stared at the door and asked "What's this?" Thomas walked in and said "It's my subconscious, come to think of it I don't think you ever set foot in here." As Opal followed him in she asked "Is this another dimension?" Thomas nodded and said "Yeah but this one is basically my own private dimension that Poppy has been working on recently." Opal looked around and said "It's amazing, it's so clean here, and the air is completely unpolluted, it's as if no creatures have ever been here." Thomas glanced at Opal and said "No some creatures have been here, mostly human but creatures non the less." Thomas put his hand on Opal's shoulder and teleported them into the hallway room that connects to the Eternal Flame guild tavern. Opal looked around and asked "Where are we now?" Thomas opened a door and said "We're still in the subconscious, but once we walk through this door we'll be back in the dimension we were just in." Opal stared out of the door and watched as Lily and Mary ran in and tackled Thomas. Opal stared at them and asked "Are you alright?" Thomas laid there and nodded as Mary asked "Why didn't you stay a little longer and say goodbye?" As Thomas sat up he said "Sorry, I just figured It would save time if I left while you guys were asleep." Opal stared at Mary and asked "Who is she?" Mary glanced at Opal and said "I'm Mary, how do you know papa?" Opal stared at Thomas and asked "Do the children here grow up faster?" As Daisy and Mira walked in Daisy said "She's not his legitimate child." Opal stared at Daisy and said "That explains it better." Mira stared at Opal and asked "Why do you have his jacket?" As Opal glanced down at it her face went red as she nervously said "I'm wearing this because um." Thomas glanced at Opal and said "She shown up a few hours ago and we were in a snowy forest." Opal nodded rapidly as she said "Yes that's the reason."
