Chapter 246 - Chapter 246 A Power Module As A Gift

As Thomas opened his eyes he seen Daisy staring at him intently. Thomas stared at her and asked "What are you doing?" Daisy poked him and said "The others said your aura is super strong and could feel it without actually knowing how to sense it, so I want you to show me to." Thomas lifted the covers over his head and said "I don't wanna." Daisy grabbed the blanket and tore it off of him as she shouted "Don't give me that, you owe me after humiliating me in public." Thomas stared at her and mumbled "But what if it causes trouble to others nearby, and accidentally kills them?" Daisy picked him up and carried him under her arm as she said "Then we'll go somewhere private and you can show me there." As they left the inn Marcus stared at Thomas and said "Looks like you made her mad with the stunt you pulled yesterday." Marcus began to follow them as he said "I'll step in if she goes too far." Thomas sat there silently and mumbled "maybe I can just show it for a split second." Marcus stared at Thomas and asked "What's wrong?" Thomas glanced at him and nervously said "She wants me to show my magical aura but I don't want to." Daisy glanced at him and said "We're leaving the city so just show me the aura." Marcus stared at Thomas and said "You mean she's not gonna torture you for what you did yesterday?" Once outside of the city Daisy set Thomas down and said "Now show me your aura." Marcus stared at Thomas and said "Yes please do I would like to see it as well." Thomas laid there on the ground and mumbled "I only have to do it for a little bit right?" Daisy nodded and said "Yeah, I just wanna see how our matches I was." As Thomas sat up he sighed while letting his magical aura out and said "Here it is." Daisy and Marcus both backed up in shock as Daisy said "I can feel it, your magical aura, it feels as though you have a complete hold over me." Marcus stared at Thomas and said "You actually have a greater magical aura then Toby, and the blood stain on your aura only makes it stronger." Thomas flinched and his the aura as he mumbled "Please don't mention the blood stain, it really bugs me." Marcus nodded and said "Of course, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bother you." Daisy glanced at Marcus and said "He totally out classed me." Marcus nodded and said "Yes for now, but you can probably get ahead of him if you kill a few decently strong monsters." As they sat there talking a unicorn with a broken horn walked out of the trees and stared at them. Daisy glanced at it and asked "What's this horse doing out here, and why is it missing an eye?" Thomas stared at it and said "That's just a unicorn I fought recently, I didn't expect it to recover so quickly though." Daisy stared at its closely at its head and said "The horn is broken?" Thomas nodded and said "Yeah someone in town wanted one, so me, Sarah, and Jules went after it." The unicorn began to charge at Thomas as he sat there and said "The last time I seen this thing it impaled me and shook me around on top of its horn." Just before the unicorn hit Thomas he teleported behind it and said "I think it might still have a grudge against me." Daisy quickly dashed towards the unicorn and stabbed it in the throat as she said "By killing this i should be able to gain some more strength." Thomas glanced at the dying unicorn and asked "Can it really make you stronger?" Marcus tossed Thomas one of the crystals and said "You can kill a few creatures and find out if you want." Marcus smiled and said "Consider this a gift, you get one of these early." Thomas caught the crystal and asked "How does it work." Daisy swiped the crystal from him and said "You just have to have it on you when the creature dies." Once the unicorn finally died Daisy handed him the crystal back and said "Although I would've enjoyed having its strength, you were the one who fought it originally." Thomas stared at the crystal and said "I can sense magic coming from this." Daisy nodded and said "Yeah, that would be the magic of the unicorn." Daisy held up her crystal and said "I've got plenty of magic from other creatures in mine." Daisy pointed to his crystal and said "Now activate your aura with that crystal." Thomas looked away and said "No thanks." Daisy swiped the crystal from him once more and said "These things only work if you draw out your aura, besides look at the power just this one crystal adds." As she released her magical aura Thomas stared at her and said "Looks like it doubled your aura." Daisy nodded and said "Exactly, a unicorn can make a lot of difference in power, however they are extremely rare." Daisy tossed him his crystal and said "You probably won't use it, but you should keep it on you at all times." Thomas put it in his pocket and said "Okay I'll hold onto it then." Marcus stared at Thomas and said "I also have a power module, would you like to engage in a battle with me?" Thomas stared at him and said "If it's all the same to you I'd rather not, I'm exhausted." Marcus pulled out a sword and said "I should tell you, I'm much stronger then her, so I'll probably be more fun to fight." Thomas glanced at him and said "It's not that I think it's boring I just don't wanna." Marcus shoved his sword into the ground and said "I always though you'd be itching for a fight, am I wrong?" Thomas nodded and said "Fighting can be fun but it also getting tiring when you do it too often." As Thomas stood up he said "I guess I can do a quick match if you want to though." Marcus smiled and grabbed his sword as he said "I should have you know, I've been killing monsters quite often ever since the demon lord has been summoning more and more monsters into our world." Marcus lifted his sword out of the ground and said "I actually haven't had the chance to test my abilities to their fullest." Marcus swung his sword at Thomas and shouted "Prepare yourself." Thomas leaned back under the swing and said "I thought this was a friendly match." As a few trees behind Thomas collapsed Marcus smiled and said "It is but I already knew you'd dodge it." As Thomas stood up he glanced behind himself at the trees and said "If that makes contact with me it'll probably kill me." Marcus dashed towards him with his sword above his head as he shouted "Then you better use that aura!" Thomas grabbed his sword off of his back and blocked Marcus's swing as he said "But I don't need it." Marcus smiled and said "Then perhaps you need me to draw out all of the power from mine first." Marcus began to swing rapidly at Thomas as he shouted "This is everything I've got!" Thomas and Marcus began to move faster and faster as Daisy watched in amazement and asked "Are you really keeping up with him?" Marcus laughed and said "It's been a while since I had a battle like this." Thomas tossed his sword at Marcus and said "Here you can have this." As Marcus grabbed the sword he smiled and said "Disarming yourself isn't exactly a smart idea." As Marcus fell to the ground still holding onto the sword he mumbled "What did you do?" Thomas began to walk away as he said "Bye I'm going back to the inn, I'll come back for the sword later." Marcus began to pull on the sword with both hands as he shouted "Wait don't go, get this off of me." Thomas glanced at him and smiled as he said "Does that mean the fights over?" Marcus nodded and said "Of course just get this thing off of me." Thomas walked back over to the sword and said "Deactivate the crystal." Marcus stared at him and asked "Do you mean the power module?" Thomas nodded and said "Yeah deactivate it." Once he deactivated it Thomas lifted the sword and put it away as he said "Okay I'm done here." As he walked away Marcus stared at his sword and asked "What did he do?" Daisy stared at the sword and said "Lily and Mary told me about it, apparently it's the first hero's sword." Marcus glanced at her and said "He actually managed to pick it up, and so effortlessly." Daisy stared at Marcus and said "According to Mary and Lily the sword has some sort of mechanism, but they still haven't told me what it is."
