Chapter 225 - Chapter 225 An Orb Child

After walking through the chasm for a few hours Thomas glanced at Sam and asked "How much longer are we gonna have to walk?" Sam stared at him and shouted "Don't ask me your the one who decided to come down here and kill everything!" Thomas stared at the compass and said "But it's pointing left." Sam glanced at him and said "I can't even see anything, the only times I've seen anything down here is when you set those things on fire." As an orb of light appeared Thomas stared at him and said "I can see in the dark so you should've told me you couldn't see anything, I don't mind helping you out a bit." Sam stared at the orb and mumbled "You could've done this from the damn start?" Thomas stared down the tunnel and said "Looks like the tunnel turns up ahead." Sam stared at him and shouted "Don't just ignore me, how long were you able to do this!" The orb of light followed them as they turned the corner and entered a massive sphere shaped room with another sphere floating in the center of it. Sam stared at it and pointed to it as he asked "Do you think this thing is the chase of our problems?" Thomas glanced at the compass and said "Well it is pointing to it." As Thomas walked towards the room he asked "Do you think a bunch of Zetas are gonna crawl out of it when we get close?" As the sphere began to compress itself Sam said "I don't think it's likely." Once the sphere was about the size of a handheld ball it fell to the ground and laid there. Thomas walked past it with the compass and mumbled "Is the a joke?" Thomas stared at the ball and mumbled "The compass is still pointing to the ball." Thomas picked it up and said "Well we got what we came for." Sam stared at the ball and asked "Does this mean those things will go away?" As Sam asked this Zetas began crawling out of the wall and filling the rooms floor with their acidic like spit. Sam glanced at Thomas and shouted "We're at the bottom of the sphere what the hell are we gonna do?" Thomas created a mana door and said "Simple we're leaving before their spit reaches us." Once they stepped through the door Zoey punched Thomas while shouting "You've got a lot of nerve just leaving me here!" Thomas glanced at her and asked "Can we skip this whole thing and just get to the part where we show you what we found?" Zoey glanced at his hand and said "You found a circular rock?" Thomas sat down and set the rock in front of him as he said "No there's more to it then that." Thomas poked the rock and said "I can kinda feel a presence or something from this rock." Thomas picked it up with one of his hands and said "Well I guess I can test pouring mana into it." Poppy stared at the orb and asked "Do you think it's safe?" As Thomas poured mana into it the orb began to vibrate in his hand as he said "Not a clue." Poppy stared at the orb and shouted "Then at least let us discuss some of our options before skipping to a potentially dangerous one!" As the orb began to float Thomas said "Too late looks like its already doing something." Poppy, Sam, and Zoey all jumped and covered themselves on the ground as Zoey shouted "Its gonna blow!" Thomas sat there and stared at the orb as he said "It's spinning rapidly but I don't think it's gonna blow." The orb began to slowly lower itself towards Thomas as it changed its form into a little girl and a frilly dress who stood mere inches away from Thomas. The girl stared at Thomas and asked "Who are you, where am I, who am I?" Thomas sat there and said "I'm Thomas, your in my dimension and you were an orb a few minutes ago." The little girl looked around and asked "What are they all staring at?" As Thomas stood up he said "Just ignore them for now, I'll explain everything in just a few minutes." Sam stared at Thomas and said "What the hell, why did the orb turn into a girl?" Thomas glanced at Sam and said "It's a kid watch your mouth." Zoey stared at Sam and said "He has a point." Sam glanced at Zoey and said "Don't give me that I asked for an answer!" Poppy stared at her and said "It's completely possible that she would've turned into something dangerous if Thomas hadn't interfered with it." The girl glanced at Thomas and asked "What would I have turned into?" Thomas shrugged and said "Dunno but I don't think we really need to know." Poppy stared at the girl and said "Those creatures seemed to have wanted you to stay there, perhaps you would've become one of them." The girl began to cry as she said "I don't want to become a monster." Thomas grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him as she fell into his lap he said "I won't let that happen." Poppy sighed and said "He's always so quick to help out kids." Zoey glanced at Poppy and asked "Is he seriously always like this around kids?" As the girl stared at Thomas she stopped crying and said "You can stop me from becoming a monster?" Thomas stared at her and said "Becoming a monster isn't guaranteed, it's just a possibility but if you do become a monster I'll do my best to turn you back." The girl held onto Thomas and said "Thank you." Thomas stared at her and said "Come to think of it I don't know what to call you?" The girl stared at him and said "I don't have a name though." Poppy stared at her and said "Why don't we call you, Mary." The girl stared at Poppy and excitedly said "Is that my name now?" Poppy nodded and said "If you like it it can be." The little girl nodded and said "Yeah I want that to be my name!" Mary looked around and asked "Do I have parents?" Sam stared at her and said "You were an orb up till a few seconds ago so I heavily doubt it." Zoey immediately punched Sam as he said this and shouted "Shut it, we need to explain this more delicately." Mary stared at Thomas and said "So I don't have a family?" Poppy stared at her and said "Then as far as we know me, you, and Thomas are pretty much the same, well except that I'm technically part of Thomas." Thomas scratched the back of his head and said "I guess your right?" Poppy stared at Thomas and smiled as she said "I have an idea, why don't you take care of her." Thomas stared at Poppy and asked "Do you really think that would end well?" Poppy nodded and said "I can guarantee it." Mary stared at Thomas and said "Papa?" Thomas flinched and asked "What?" Mary stared at Thomas and said "Your kinda like my dad right?" Thomas sat there and mumbled "This is becoming harder and harder to explain to the others." Poppy stared at him and said "Don't worry I'll explain this to them." As Mary stood up she asked "What are we gonna do?" Thomas glanced at Zoey and asked "Can we put the whole world saving thing on hold for a bit?" Zoey sighed and said "Actually I'm pretty sure I know how to stop this." Zoey pointed to the girl and said "A while ago we met some sort of fortune teller or so we thought, turns out what they gave us was more of a prophecy and this girl is the key to our problems." Poppy stared at her and asked "What did they say?" Zoey walked up to the girl and said "She should be able to control the creatures and act as a form of queen, originally she was meant to destroy our world within the next week, but some how Thomas changed what was supposed to happen." The girl glanced at Thomas and asked "What's she talking about?" Thomas stared at Mary and said "She thinks you can control the Zetas." Thomas sighed and said "Fine we'll test this quickly but if it fails I'm not taking her back to that terrible place." As Thomas and Mary stood out in a field Thomas glanced at Mary and said "Try thinking about having things surround you." Mary nodded and said "All right." After a few minutes a horde of Zetas surrounded them and just stood there waiting. Thomas stared at the army of Zetas and mumbled "Zoey was right, the creatures won't dare to attack her but it seems as though they're obeying her." Mary glanced at Thomas and nervously asked "What do I do now?" Thomas stared at her and said "Continue What your doing and close your eyes." Thomas summoned two swords and said "You might wanna cover your ears to." As Mary covered her ears and closed her eyes Thomas began to slaughter the creatures as he shouted "Stay like that for about ten minutes." Once all the creatures were dead Thomas took Mary back and told the others that most of the Zetas should be dead and returned all of them back to their rightful dimension, except for Mary.
