As Thomas opened his eyes he stared at the roof and mumbled "What the hell, why am I back here?" Thomas glanced to his side and seen Poppy and Sam talking across the room. Thomas slowly sat up and asked "Why am I here again?" Poppy glanced at Thomas and said "Stop trying to move, lay down and we'll explain." Thomas paused for a moment and laid back down as he said "Alright, I'll hear you out." Poppy glanced at Sam and said "He found you yesterday and brought you back." Sam glanced at Poppy and said "That's not what happened, both you and the commander found him to, although I was sitting next to him when you found him." Poppy nodded and said "Yes but you were the one who brought him back." Sam nodded "Well although that is true the commander also gave a very clear order that you should steer clear of her." Poppy nodded and said "Although that is true she did seem quite worried that you were gonna die." Sam glanced at Poppy and said "Well that's probably because she's never taken a human life." As Thomas sat up he said "My head is killing me." Poppy pointed at him and asked "Why do you complain about things being difficult if all you ever do is make things harder for yourself." Thomas glanced at her and said "I'm not gonna do anything I swear, I'm just changing locations for a bit." As a mana door appeared Poppy nodded and said "Very well but you better rest." Sam stood there speechless staring at the door as Thomas glanced at him and said "I'll be back in a bit." Poppy glanced at Sam and said "He'll be safer there so just give him some time." Sam pointed to the door and shouted "What the hell?" As Zoey ran in panicked the door disappeared and she shouted "What happened, did he die?" Zoey glanced at the bed and asked "Where the hell did he go?" Sam glanced at her and said "Commander I know what your thinking and I didn't have anything to do with this." Poppy glanced at her and said "He'll be back soon." Sam glanced at Poppy and asked "How the hell do we explain that he walked through mid air and disappeared?" Poppy stared at him and said "Its just a thing he does stop being so worried." Zoey glanced at Poppy and said "You let him get away didn't you?" As the door reappeared Thomas walked through and said "I sped the time up in there so I should be slightly better then before." Zoey quickly turned to him and swung at him as she shouted "What the hell are you doing leaving this room?" Thomas caught her fist and said "But I was only gone for like ten seconds." Poppy glanced at Thomas and asked "Why didn't you just stay in there until your eye returned to normal?" Thomas stared at her and said "I basically have to sit still and concentrate very hard to make time move faster there so it gets really boring." Poppy sighed and said "So you didn't feel like it?" Thomas nodded and said "Pretty much." Zoey pulled her hand away and attempted to kick Thomas as she said "Get your ass back in that bed and rest." Thomas ducked under the kick and said "Lady give up, that shot you hit on me early was a lucky shot, it won't happen again." The lady began to punch at Thomas rapidly as she shouted "Stop resisting." Thomas dodge the attacks and said "You can't really do much if I'm resisting a rest." Poppy face palmed and asked "Can you place take your life seriously and stop making jokes." Poppy stared at him and asked "What were you even doing when you went there?" Thomas made a chain appear out of thin air as he tied Zoey up and said "I took a rest at the hot springs." Zoey glared at him and shouted "auntie me at once you bastard!" Poppy stared at her and asked "Where did you get the chains?" Thomas smiled and said "They're the ones that the others tried to use to keep me in bed." Sam pointed to Zoey and asked "Is that really okay?" Zoey glanced at Sam and shouted "Untie me at once!" Sam looked at his wrist and said "Oh man look at the time, I should really get going." As he left Zoey shouted "You bastard I'll have your head for this." Thomas picked Poppy up and set her on his shoulder as he left the room and said "Laters." Zoey began to move around rapidly as she shouted "You can't do this to me, I'm your damn commander, you can't disobey me." Once they were out of the room Poppy glanced at Thomas and asked "Are you really gonna leave her there?" Thomas nodded and said "I'm sure someone will find her, if not I'll stop by and let her out later." Sam glanced at them and said "Well since we've already pissed off the commander, you guys wanna ditch the base for a while so I can show you around the city?" Thomas nodded and said "Hell yeah, since last time we tried she got in our way, but this time she can't even move." Sam smiled and said "I'm that case allow me to show you the city we all call Hope." Thomas smiled and said "Then let's get a move on and check this place out." As they left Sam glanced at Thomas and Poppy as he said "I know a restaurant we can stop by, my treat." Poppy glanced at Thomas and said "Eating should help you regain your strength, especially since you haven't eaten anything since arriving here." Sam glanced at him and asked "Are you serious?" Sam smiled and said "In that case we'll eat and drink to celebrate your victory over that Zeta that would've destroyed the town." Thomas glanced at Sam and asked "Does anyone besides you know about that?" Sam shook his head and said "Nah don't worry about it me, Poppy, and the commander all agreed to keep it a secret from the public." Thomas let out a sigh of relief and said "Well that's good to hear, since normally when things like this happen there's someone who will likely go against me to prove there strength." Sam shook his head and said "Relax nobody is like that here, if anything they rely on people like you to protect them." As they entered the shop Sam glanced at the owner and said "Long time no see." The man behind the counter glanced at him and said "It's been a while since I've seen you, has something happened?" Sam pointed at Thomas and Poppy as he said "Just some recruit." The man glanced at Poppy and asked "Why does he have a doll and cosplay?" Thomas sighed and said "At this point I don't think anyone will suspect that this tail is real." Sam sat down and said "We'll take two specialty orders." Thomas sat down across from Sam and said "Every time someone makes a remark about my tail it's always about it being a costume." Poppy glanced at Thomas and said "Don't take it too seriously, it's not like you should want them to know it's real." Sam stared at Thomas and said "Don't even worry about it, I'm sure there's many creatures like you." Poppy nodded and said "Well you are correct however they aren't anywhere on this planet let alone this dimension." Sam stared at them and asked "Wait are you aliens?" Thomas stared at him and asked "What?" Sam shook his head and said "You know what never mind." As the man came back with two plates he set them down on the table and said "Enjoy your meal, it's on the house." Sam glanced at him and said "Thanks, I'll be sure to stop by again." Thomas stared at the food and said "This looks pretty good." Sam nodded and said "Well he does have some of the best food in this city." Thomas began to eat as he said "His reputation clearly compliments his food." As Zoey walked into the restaurant she pointed at Thomas and said "There you are you bastard." Thomas looked away and said "Just act natural." Sam glanced at the commander and said "Looks like she's still pretty pissed off about earlier." Zoey pulled a gun out from her pocket and put it to Thomas's head as she said "Give me one reason I shouldn't pull this damn trigger." Thomas stared down the barrel of the gun and said "Because I'm your favorite little soldier?" As she lowered the gun she said "Your lucky that I didn't pull the damn trigger." Thomas glanced at Sam and asked "How did she find us?" Zoey slammed her hand down on the table and said "That's none of your damn business." Sam glanced at Thomas and said "I come here often, believe it or not this isn't even the first time she found me here." Thomas shrugged and said "So coming here probably wasn't the best idea?" As Sam nodded Zoey shouted "Since you both want to ignore me I'm doubling your training!" Thomas glanced at her and said "Training?"
