After turning in the quest and the Roc body Thomas and Scarlett met back up with the others at the inn. As Thomas finished repairing Scarlett's shirt he tossed it to her and said "Good as new, or at least wearable." As Scarlett put it back on she thanked him and asked "What are you going to do now?" Thomas glanced at her and said "Apart from the Roc I didn't have anything planned." Scarlett stared at him for a moment and then asked "Would you like to go against me?" Thomas fell back onto the bed and said "Yeah, I guess we could go for a quick match." Scarlett glanced at the others and asked "What about you all?" They all stared at her as Lily said "Don't worry about asking him to stay if you do beat him, he already said that he doesn't plan to." Scarlett stared at her and asked "Then what should I ask for?" Lily shrugged and said "That's for you to figure out but we're all gonna go do some quests." As they left Thomas sat up asked "Do you have any specific conditions?" Scarlett shook her head and said "If I can't beat you at your best then I have no hope of beating Ocis." Thomas stared at her confused and asked "What does beating me have to do with her?" Scarlett walked towards the door and said "Alright then let's go!" Thomas stared at her and mumbled "You don't have to ignore my question." As Thomas sat up he yawned and said "There should be a decent place to fight just outside the village." As Scarlett walked out of the door she said "I'll meet you down there." As Thomas walked towards the window he jumped out of it and said "Going through the window saves a lot of time." As Thomas walked to the door of the inn Scarlett walked out and stared at him. Thomas walked past her and said "Doors are a waste of time." As Scarlett followed him outside of the village to a small grassy area surrounded by trees she said "This should be good enough." Thomas began to stretch as he said "Alright come at me whenever you want." Scarlett held her hand up to him and said "Forgive me for this." Thomas tilted his head and asked "For what?" As everything around him went dark he mumbled "Its this damn spell?" Thomas began to walk straight as he mumbled "Last time I dealt with this spell it felt like I was here for a day but I was only here for three minutes." As Thomas began to sink into the ground he mumbled "Guilt of past is essentially a spell that will make my past decisions my own hell." As he rose from the ground he found himself in an apartment. He froze for a moment looked around as he nervously said "What the hell?" As a familiar voice from behind him asked "Why did you leave me?" Thomas stood there completely frozen as he mumbled "It's all just part of my mind." As he felt a hand grab his he looked up at the roof and mumbled "None of this is real." As the voice asked "Did you not want to see me?" Thomas glanced down at the voice with tears in his eyes as he said "It's not that I didn't want to, it's just that the dimensions time difference was too great." Kate stared at him and said "You don't have to make excuses, I understand that you didn't want to see me." As the room went pitch black she vanished. Thomas began to look around the room as he said "Wait no, please come back, I really wanted to see you I swear." As Thomas began to sink into the floor he began to try and pull himself up as he shouted "No I can't leave yet!" Once completely sunk he found himself back in the pitch black area. Thomas looked around as he wiped his face and said "Even knowing that it's a spell it still has one hell of an effect." As Thomas walked through the room once more he walked through a wall and found himself in another room. Thomas began to look around as he mumbled "The sooner I get out of this the better." As Kate appeared in front of him she asked "Did you enjoy leaving me behind?" Thomas stared at her speechless as she said "I waited and waited, but you never came, I wasted my whole life waiting for you but in the end I only wasted my life." Thomas began to walk towards her as he lowered himself to the ground in front of her and said "I'm sorry." As she grabbed his face she said "Sorry doesn't make up for my entire life." As Thomas began to sink into the floor he stared at her and said "If I could give you back that time I would." Just before they went under completely she shouted "But you can't so my life was wasted." As Thomas found himself back in the black room he collapsed to the ground and said "She's right, she waited so long just for one day." Thomas's tears began to run down his face as he mumbled "She's right I couldn't do anything." As Thomas awoke he found himself being held down by Scarlett. Thomas stared at her with tears in his eyes saying nothing as she asked "Are you alright?" Thomas stared at her and said "You win." As Scarlett let go of him and moved off of him she said "You were crying a lot while you were asleep." Thomas wiped his face and held the note that Kate left him as he said "Just ignore it." Scarlett stared at the note and asked "What's that?" Thomas put the note in his pocket and said "It's nothing important." Scarlett stood up and walked towards him as she said "It must be pretty important if it's the first thing you look at after the fight." Thomas stared at her and said "It's just a note I got from someone." Scarlett sat down beside him and asked "What does it say?" Thomas glanced at her and said "I already told you the notes not important." Scarlett stared at him and asked "Does this have something to do with the spell I've used on you?" Thomas stood up and said nothing as he began to walk away. As Thomas walked towards a bar Scarlett followed him in and asked "Is this really the best thing for you to do?" As Thomas sat down he pulled the note out and said "No it's not, but at this point I don't care." As the bar tender walked over to Thomas he asked "What do you want?" Thomas glanced at him and said "Just give me your strongest drink." Scarlett stared at the note and said "If the note isn't important then tell me what it says." As a drunk man beside Thomas grabbed the note he said "Come on tell the pretty lady what it says." Thomas glared at the man and said "Give me that back." The man stared at the note and said "I don't see why you would carry this useless piece of paper, I can't even understand it." As the bartender sat the drink down the drunken man stared at Scarlett and said "Sorry pretty lady but this paper is useless." Thomas snatched the note from the man and said "It's not useless." As Thomas put the note in his pocket the man stared at Thomas and said "That wasn't very nice." Thomas glared at the man and said "Calling other people's things useless isn't exactly the nicest thing you could do either." As Thomas drank the alcohol in the cup in front of him the man said "I don't like your attitude." As Thomas sat the cup down he glanced at the bartender and asked "What is this?" The bar tender stared at him and said "You asked for our best, and lucky for you I know a dwarf not to far from here." Thomas continued to drink as he said "Well whatever it gets the job done." Scarlett sighed and said "I knew I shouldn't have used that spell." The man reaches into Thomas's pocket and grabbed the note as he said "If it's not useless prove it." Thomas set the cup down and said "This is your last chance to give that back." The man crumbled up the note and said "You ask more nicely." Thomas bashed the cup into the man's face as he said "Go to hell." As the man fell back onto the floor completely unconscious Thomas set the cup down and picked up the note as he put it in his pocket and said "This note isn't useless." Scarlett walked towards him and picked him up as she said "That's enough for you." As Scarlett carried him out of the bar and to the inn she set him down on one of the beds and said "I wouldn't have used that spell against you if I knew it would put you in such a pitiful state." As Thomas laid there asleep on the bed he muttered "Kate I'm sorry."
