Chapter 164 - Chapter 164 Kate’s Apartment

As They all arrived in an apartment Thomas stood at the door holding his shoulder and said "You know I would've been fine with sleeping bag the park." The girl stared at Thomas and said "But you got shoot because of us." Thomas glanced at the wound and said "No that was my own fault." The woman stared at Thomas and said "I should have some rubbing alcohol to clean out your wound, just sit down and wait a moment." Thomas sat down on the floor and held his shoulder. The little girl stared at Thomas and asked "So what are you?" Thomas stared at her and mumbled "Telling her I'm a dimensional being would probably be stupid." Thomas smiled and said "I'm a just a demi human named Thomas." The little girl walked towards him and said "I'm Kate." As the woman came back Kate said "And that's my mom." Thomas glanced at her without saying anything as she said "Sit still while I apply the rubbing alcohol." Thomas took off his jacket and raised the sleeve of his shirt as he said "This will probably make things easier." She nodded and said "Alright now I need you to hold still." As she doused a rag in rubbing alcohol and rubbed it over his wound Thomas let out a grunt of pain. Thomas glanced at her and said "You could've given me a heads up." She stared at him and said "You hardly reacted when you were shot so I figured it wouldn't hurt." Thomas stared at her and said "Just because I didn't bother to react doesn't mean it doesn't hurt." She stared at him and said "Just bear with it for a while." Kate lifted Thomas's jacket and said "We should wash this before the stain ruins it." Thomas held his hand towards the jacket and said "The stain isn't an issue." As the stain disappeared Kate stared at him and said "Your blood disappeared from the jacket." Thomas stared at her and said "I can remove the stains, believe me if I couldn't I wouldn't have made a white jacket." As Kate's mom glanced at the jacket she asked "Would Like me to fix your jacket for you." Thomas shook his head and said "I can do it myself." Kate stared at Thomas and asked "So what happened to your eye?" Thomas flinched and said "That story may not be suited for a kid." Kate's mom stared at him and said "I'd like to hear to." Thomas glanced at her and said "It's not exactly a story I'd like to tell." As Kate's mom grabbed some bandages and began to wrap Thomas's shoulder she said "Then I'd like to apologize for asking about something personal." Thomas stared at her and said "I never said I wouldn't tell you, it's just that I traded it to protect a friend." Kate stared at him and said "You must be super brave to trade an eye for one of your friends." Thomas stared at her and smiled as he said "Not really it was just the only option I should could take." Kate's mom stared at him and said "It must be tough to lose an eye, but at least that person is alright." After she finished wrapping his arm she stood up and said "You can stay with us until your able to leave." Thomas stood up and said "Thanks, I should be able to leave soon." Thomas walk out onto the balcony and looked down onto the road as he mumbled "I could use a door to get back to my dimension but that would be a waste of mana and it would probably be an issue if a giant walks around here." Thomas yawned and said "Time might actually still be moving in my dimension, but if it is its most likely moving at the same speed time is here." As Kate walked out onto the balcony she asked "What are you doing out here?" Thomas glanced at her and said "I'm trying to decide on something." Kate stared at him and asked "What is it?" Thomas turned around and said "I'm trying to decide if I should go to my dimension, the subconscious or wait until I have enough mana to get back to the original dimension I was in." Kate stared at him and said "You should do the one that gives me more time to play with you." Thomas glanced at her and said "So you think I should store up my mana." Kate nodded and said "We can have lots of fun in the meantime." Thomas glanced off the balcony and mumbled "Fun?" As she stood beside Thomas she stared off the balcony and said "I can also teach you a lot about our world." Thomas looked off the balcony and said "I suppose your right, if I save up my mana it can make various things easier." Kate stared at him and said "Before you do that can you show me some magic." Thomas glanced at her and asked "Will your mom be okay with that?" Kate nodded and said "She should be fine with it." Thomas turned around and walked into the apartment as he said "I guess I can show you a few spells." As Thomas and Kate entered Kate's mom stared at them and said "Don't stay up to late I have work tomorrow." Kate stared at her and said "I'll go to sleep after he shows me some magic." Kate's mom stared at Thomas and said "If he's doing magic I'd like to see to." Thomas held out his hand and said "Blaze." As his hand caught fire Kate's mom stared at it and asked "Can you feel it burning you?" Thomas shook his head and said "It won't affect me because I'm the caster." Kate reached her hand out for the fire and said "I wanna try to!" Thomas extinguished the fire and grabbed her hand as he said "I can also confine the spell inside of my arm and raise the heat of it." Kate stared at Thomas's hand and said "It's warm." Kate's mom stood up and put a hand on Thomas's arm, as she stared at him she said "This is actually rather impressive." Late stared at Thomas and asked "What else can you do?" Thomas stared at her and said "I'll show you one more but I'm done after that." Thomas stared at her and said "I'm gonna need a cup with water." Kate smiled and said "I'll get it." Kate's mom stared at Thomas and said "It's still hard to believe." Thomas stared at her and said "This thing is normal from where I come from so I don't know what part of its weird." Kate's mom stared at Thomas and said "I just don't understand how your able to do things like this." Thomas shrugged and said "Actually with me being a demi human and all, the magic part is still pretty uncommon." As Kate came back with a cup of water she handed it to Thomas and said "Here you go!" Thomas grabbed the cup and put one of his fingers in it. Thomas stared at the cup of water and said "Freeze." As the water froze right before their eyes Kate stared at Thomas and asked "Can you teach me to do this?" Thomas stared at her and said "I'm not much of a teacher." Thomas glanced away and mumbled "Actually I don't know if she'll even be able to use mana." Thomas stared at Kate and said "That's all the magic for today." Kate stared at Thomas and said "One more please!" Kate's mom stared at her and said "No pouting, you should be happy that he shown you anything." As Kate's mom stood she picked Kate up and said "You can sleep on one of the couches." As they left and turned off the lights Thomas walked back towards the balcony and said "I should probably avoid telling anyone else about me being in this world." Thomas teleported to the other side of the door and peered off the balcony as he said "If I'm considered to be some sort of strange creature others might want me dead." Thomas looked up into the sky and mumbled "Hiding my existence sounds like a pain though." Thomas glanced behind him and said "It would probably cause an issue or two for them as well." Thomas teleported back inside and laid down on one of the couches and said "It won't be easy but it should be doable." Thomas yawned and said "And if worst comes to worst I'll just say I'm wearing cosplay like that gut said." Thomas smirked and said "I'll see them all again soon, each and everyone of them." As Kate's mom walked into the room she said "I won't be here in the morning but Kate should be able to help you adjust for the time being." Thomas glanced at her and said "Okay."
