Chapter 123 - Chapter 123 A Visit From Opal

As Thomas woke up he held his head and mumbled "Why is my mana only at half?" Thomas stood up and mumbled "Its usually full by now." Thomas walked towards the door and mumbled "Its not like my mana is regenerating any slower then it was before." Thomas grabbed the doorknob and closed his eyes as he mumbled "I'm sure there is a reason." Thomas opened his eyes and said "Maybe my mana pool has increased to the point where it takes longer then a day to fully recharge." Thomas opened the door and mumbled "Thats probably why I still feel tired." Thomas walked down and said "Breakfast first, mana issue later." As Thomas sat down Peri and Ceil walked into the inn. As they entered they glanced at Thomas and walked over to him as they asked "Can you help us get stronger?" Thomas sighed and said "I'm trying to get breakfast right now." Peri and Ceil sat down beside him and said "Then we'll wait for you to finish." Thomas stared at them and mumbled "I guess taking a break is no longer an option." Thomas sat there and mumbled "It's to bad I can't smell my own mana." After eating breakfast they all walked back to the field they were in the day before. As they arrived in the field Thomas said "I've been meaning to ask, which one of you are stronger?" They stared at each other and said "We never actually fought each other so we wouldn't know." Thomas sighed and said "You know what that was a pointless question." Thomas yawned and said "I suppose you guys can start doing actual training instead of sparring." Peri and Ceil both stared at Thomas and asked "How do we do that?" Thomas pointed at Peri and said "Your a physical fighter so you should train with your body." Thomas pointed at Ceil and said "You use magic so you should either use spells a ton or learn new ones." They stared at Thomas and said "So we should practice our moves until they're perfect?" Thomas nodded and said "If you do that I have no doubt that you'll soon be strong enough to beat me." As they stared at Thomas they seemed surprised by something. Thomas stared at them and asked "What is there something on my face?" They pointed behind him and said "A small girl just out of nowhere." Thomas turned around and said "Oh hey it's you." Opal stared at him and said "I got bored of waiting for you to reappear in the fairy realm so I decided to stop by and see how you were." Thomas turned back to Peri and Ceil and began to introduce everyone. After introducing everyone Thomas turned back to Opal and asked "So what do you want kid?" She glared at him and said "I came here because I would like to have another fight." Thomas stared at her and said "Your kidding right?" She held a fruit out in front of her and said "It's been forever since I've fought anyone in the fairy realm and your the only one who fights me with all you've got despite knowing you don't stand a chance." Thomas sighed and said "Just give me the stupid fruit." Thomas grabbed the fruit and ate it as he said "Let me take my jacket off first." Thomas tossed his jacket to the floor and said "Ready!" Opal smiled and appeared behind him as she put her hand on his back and said "This brings back memories." As the wind pierced through Thomas's side he let out a grunt of pain and smiled as he said "It sure does." Thomas teleported behind her and put his hand on her shoulder as he said "Blaze." As the fire appeared Opal stood there and glanced at him as she said "It was much more fun when you drank the potion." Thomas smiled and said "Those take years to make." Thomas teleported in front of her and said "If he ever finds out how to mass produce them I'll fight you again with them." Thomas glanced at Peri and Ceil as they watched in horror and shouted "Are you going to be alright?" Thomas stared at the grass covered in his blood as he said "I'll be fine." Opal appeared in front of him and said "Yes he won't be able to die for some time now." Opal blasted a hole through Thomas's chest as she said "He'll still feel the pain but it should heal rather fast." Opal stood there and said "Perhaps it would be better if I didn't use magic." Opal stared at Thomas and punched him in the jaw. Thomas turned back to her and was missing three teeth as he said "That's certainly different." As the teeth regrew Thomas held his jaw and said "Man does that hurt." Thomas glanced back at Opal and said "Why does it hurt more when the teeth grow back then when they're knocked out?" Opal stared at him and said "Maybe it's because they have to push their way through your gums." Thomas moves his hands away from his jaw and said "Well I suppose that's fine, the pain only lasts a few seconds anyway." Thomas stood up and dashed at Opal as he shouted "Well then get ready because here I come!" As Thomas punches rapidly Opal dodges all of the punches with ease as Peri and Ceil watched in amazement. As Thomas continued to punch Opal put her hand on Thomas stomach and said "I got you." Before Thomas could even react Opal pushed into his stomach at an incredible speed causing him to cough up blood and be sent flying. As Thomas flew backwards he rolled across the ground. As Thomas stood up he was breathing heavily and wiped the blood from his jaw as he said "I'm still not even close to a match for you." Thomas smiled and said "I won't let that dampen my spirt!" As Thomas appeared in front of Opal he began to punch even faster as he said "We'll just see if my top speed is any good against you!" Opal continued to dodge his attacks as she smiled and said "Thank you for the fight." Moments after she said this Thomas felt his body shatter. Opal stood behind him and said "We'll stop the fight here." Thomas laid there breathing heavily as he said "Yeah that sounds good, just give me a few minutes so my bones can heal." Opal glanced at him and said "I'm sorry for breaking most of your bones." Thomas began to force himself up as he said "Man this is increasingly more painful." Opal glanced at him and said "They should be healed in less then a minute." Thomas stared at her as he said "The fight ended as usual, I'm covered in blood with torn clothes and a smile." Opal glanced at him and said "And I'm standing here without a single scratch on me." Thomas stood up and said "We'll your in town wanna take a look around?" Opal nodded as Peri and Ceil stared at them and asked "How can you just shrug something like that off?" Thomas stared at them and asked "Shrug what off?" Peri and Ceil pointed at Thomas and said "You just had most of your bones shattered and your fine with it?" Thomas stared at them confused and asked "Well then how should I feel about it?" Peri pointed at Opal and said "You should at least feel somewhat bad about this whole situation." Opal stared at her confused as she said "But the fight was completely safe." Ceil sighed and said "You two are just like one another." Thomas and Opal stared at her and asked "How are we alike?" Peru and Ceil glanced at each other and said "Never mind even if we explain it it won't do anything." Thomas glanced at Opal and said "So how is Marlin?" Opal stared at Thomas and said "Marlin is working another batch of those potions." Opal smiled and said "Once those potions are done I'm bringing one to you and we're gonna have another rematch." Thomas smiled and said "And when that happens I'll be right here waiting!" Peri stared at Thomas and asked "Are you telling her to come back and beat the hell out of you?" Thomas stared at Opal with a smug grin and said "Watch your language there is a kid here." Opal raised her hand and said "I let it go the first time." Thomas smiled and said "Hit me if you can kid." She put her hand down as she said "Your lucky that fruit's effects wore off." Thomas shrugged and said "And the kid refuses to go through with it." Opal aimed her hand at him and blasted him with the air sending him flying. As Thomas flew through the air he landed on his feet and said "You'll get used to me calling you kid soon enough." Opal glared at him and said "Keep treating me like a kid and I really will kill you!" Ceil stared at Thomas and said "Stop messing with her before she really does kill you." As Opal turned around Thomas said "I'll see you next time kid." Opal glanced at him and smiled as she turned back around and teleported back to the fairy realm.
