Chapter 86 - Chapter 86 A Bounty Hunter

As Thomas woke up he glanced around and mumbled "Did I fall asleep?" Thomas looked beside him and seen Ocis laying their with her wing over top of him. Thomas stared at the roof as he mumbled "I hope I didn't ruin the date by falling asleep." Thomas sighed as he said "Guess I'll never know since she'll probably just say it was fun." Thomas glanced at the window and mumbled "What might today have in store for me?" Thomas got out of bed and walked to the door as he said "I'll probably have to deal with that bounty hunter." Thomas glanced at Ocis as he said "Sorry that I didn't really know what a date was, or if it even went well." Thomas turned back to the door and walked out as he mumbled "Everyone else must've already." Thomas walked outside and looked around as he said "Let's see I can either do a quest and most likely piss Daisy off or I can wander around the town until I find something to do." Thomas shrugged as he said "The second option is probably the best." Thomas began to walk around the town aimlessly passing by people as he mumbled "I wonder how many of them know that I'm worth one hundred and five gold coins?" Thomas continued to walk as he noticed a boy carrying some rather large boxes. Thomas walked over to him and asked "What are you doing?" The boy glanced at Thomas as he said "I can't tell you." Thomas stared at him as he asked "And why is that?" The boy glanced at Thomas as he said "Your a stranger and I'm not suppose to talk to strangers." Thomas shrugged as he said "Can't argue with that." The boy stared past Thomas as he noticed a wanted poster with Thomas's face on it. As the boy dropped the packages Thomas caught them and asked "What's got you so spooked?" The boy pointed at Thomas as he shouted "Your a wanted criminal!" Thomas held the boxes as he said "I assure you that I'm not gonna bring harm to any one." The boy began to slowly back away as he asked "What do you want with me?" Thomas continued to hold the boxes as he said "I'm looking for something to do so I was gonna help you with these boxes." The boy stared at Thomas nervously as he asked "Why would a criminal help me?" Thomas glanced up at the sky as he thought about the graveyard and said "I couldn't help some people so I figured I'd help some other people to hopefully make amends." The boy stared at Thomas as he said "I suppose I can let you help." The boy began to walk as he said "I need to take the boxes this way." Thomas followed him as he asked "How far for we need to go?" The boy pointed as he said "We have to bring them to the other side of the town." Thomas continued to follow him through the town as he heard someone call his name from behind him. Thomas glanced behind him and seen the bounty hunter as he stared at him annoyed and asked "Are you just gonna show every time I'm in the middle of something?" The bounty hunter began to walk towards Thomas as he pulled out the axe and said "You will fight me today or I shall claim your life!" Thomas turned away from him and continued to walk as he told the kid "Just ignore him it's just some creep." The kid nodded as he said "Alright." The bounty hunter began to follow Thomas with the axe as he mumbled "I ain't no creep." The boy glanced behind him and seen the bounty hunter following them as he said "That creepy old guy is still following us." Thomas glanced at the boy and said "Just ignore him." The boy began to walk faster staring behind him as he said "The man is getting closer and he's holding an axe." Thomas sighed as he tilted his head to the right causing the man to miss. The boy stared at Thomas and the man with fear as he shouted "He killed him!" Thomas turned to the bounty hunter still holding the boxes as he asked "Why are you following me?" Before the man could say anything Thomas said "Don't give me that same old excuse for just wanting my bounty." The man said nothing as he swung the axe at Thomas repeatedly. Thomas dodge the man's attacks while holding the boxes as he asked "How long are you gonna keep this up?" Thomas leaned back and let the boxes rest on him as he watched the axe pass by over his head. Thomas stood up straight and kicked the axe out of his hand as he said "I'm not planning on killing anyone right now so count yourself lucky and get lost." The man watched as his axe fell directly in front of him. Thomas turned away from the man as he said "If you wanna fight me do it some other time when I'm not busy." The man grabbed the axe once more and began to chant something. As Thomas and the boy arrived at their destination Thomas set the boxes down and said "I'll see you around." The boy glanced at the man as he said "I won't be able to if that man kills you." Thomas glanced at the man who was still chanting his spell as Thomas mumbled "I guess I found what I'm gonna do next." Thomas began to walk towards the man as he sat down in front of him and asked "So what are you doing this time?" The man continued to chant the words over and over again as Thomas stared at him while asking "How long is this gonna take?" After a minute or two the man quit chanting and a strong gust of wind pushed Thomas back a bit. Thomas stared at the bounty hunter who was now looking a lot more muscular as Thomas asked "Are you done?" The man glared at Thomas without saying a thing as he dropped his axe and began to walk towards Thomas. As the man stood in front of Thomas he slammed the ground with both of his hands while shouting "You can't beat me now." Thomas stared at the man confused as he asked "How did you suddenly just grow muscles?" The man stopped pounding the ground and attempted to punch Thomas. Thomas teleported behind him and stood up as he said "You may have gotten stronger but theirs still a problem with your speed." The man began to laugh as he quickly turned to and punched Thomas as he said "My speed is superior to yours!" As Thomas took the punch he grabbed onto his hand and stared at him as he said "Now look at what you've done." The man began to laugh as he said "What I've just done is nothing compared to what I'm going to do." Thomas stared at the man as he said "I'm not talking about the amount of damage you think you've done, I'm talking about the fact that Daisy's going to know I was in a fight and that she's gonna be mad." The man raised his other hand and began to slam it down on Thomas as he said "I don't care about your issues with women!" Thomas let go of his other hand and caught his other hand as it pushed Thomas into the ground. Thomas glanced at him as he said "Opal hots way harder." The man glared at Thomas as he asked "How can you keep up with my enhanced form?" Thomas let go of the man's hand and began to jump around as he said "I'll explain it while I do my little warm up." Thomas glanced at the man as he said "I simply don't have a reason." The man stared at Thomas annoyed as he raised another fist and shouted "Quit toying with me!" Before the man could slam his hand down on top of Thomas he quickly punched him in the stomach knocking him to the ground as he held his stomach. Thomas began to walk away as he waved and said "I'm sure we'll meet again so why don't we have another fight sometime?" The man continued to hold his stomach as he muttered "I'll get you for this." As Thomas walked away Daisy stepped out of a nearby alley way as she mumbled "I won't count this as a fight because he was only fighting to protect himself, but it wouldn't have carried on like that if he would've just beat him before he used the spell." Daisy walked over to the man as she asked "Why were you attacking him?" The man glanced at her as he said "What I do is none of your business!" Daisy pulled out one of her blades and put it to his throat as she said with a sinister look "It is actually my business since your attacking my patient."
