Chapter 82 - Chapter 82 A New Spell Book

It's been about four days and Thomas had still been waiting patiently in the room with his injuries as he mumbled "I gotta become stronger so next time I'm able to save the people I wanna protect." Thomas laid back as he said "But I'm not even allowed to leave this stupid room!" Ocis glanced at Thomas as she asked "What's the matter?" Thomas sat up and glanced at her as he said "Theirs nothing to do." Ocis stared at Thomas as she asked "Wanna play a game?" Thomas stared at her and asked "What's the game?" Ocis walked over to Thomas and asked "Do you wanna play house and marry me?" Thomas stared at her as he said "I'm still not interested." Ocis stared at him as she said "But why it's only a game!" Lily stared at Ocis as she asked "What's so important about marrying him?" Ocis jumped onto Thomas and grabbed onto him as she said "Once we're married I'm gonna keep him all to myself." Thomas sat their as he mumbled "I probably won't get a say in this so I won't bother." Daisy glanced at Thomas as she said "Will you two knock it off already!" Ocis glanced at her as she said "Your more then welcome to join us." Thomas sat their annoyed as he mumbled "I could just use my blink spell to get out of this." Scarlett glanced at Thomas as she said "I will not allow you to teleport away." Thomas sighed as he said "Guess you overheard me." Scarlett nodded as she said "What you say is quite hard to make out but it is normally of moderate importance." Thomas laid their with Ocis on top of him still holding onto Thomas. As Lily walked over to them she asked "Can we do a quest it's boring." Thomas stared at Lily as he said "I've been stuck here for four days and haven't done anything you guys just got back not to long ago." Lily shrugged as she said "I'm not the idiot who fought a guy with necromancy and almost died." Thomas sat up with Ocis still holding onto him as he asked "When can I leave this inn?" Daisy glanced at him as she said "I suppose it's fine if you leave but don't do anything else that might lengthen your recovery." Thomas stared at her as he mumbled "My injuries have already healed." Lily stared at Thomas as she said "I'm not letting you out of my sight." Thomas stared at her as he mumbled "Didn't your father buy me to watch after you?" Thomas sighed as he asked "Am I really that untrustworthy?" Lily nodded as she said "If we don't watch you closely you'll end up doing something stupid." Thomas smiles and shrugged as he said "You got me their." Daisy stared at him annoyed as she asked "Your not even gonna try to deny it?" Ocis got off of Thomas and stared at him as she said "I have faith in you!" Thomas stared at her as he mumbled "Then why do I have to have a babysitter everywhere I go?" Scarlett glanced at him as she said "If you don't you will either kill others or yourself." Thomas glanced at her as he sadly said "For the record I tried saving the people at the graveyard." Ocis stared at Thomas as she said "Cheer up at least you can say you tried." Thomas glanced at her as he said "Trying wasn't good enough witch means I gotta do better." Daisy glared at Thomas as she said "No fighting for at least another day or two." Thomas stood up and walked to the door as Daisy shouted "If you start any fights I'll be sure to tie you to a bed and make sure you don't get away until you recover!" Thomas stared at her as he said "I'd much prefer you didn't tie me up." Lily glanced at Thomas as she said "We don't want you to die." Thomas walked out the door while saying "I wouldn't bother worrying, I've come close to death a few times but I haven't managed to die yet." Lily looked at Daisy as she asked "Does he not know what death is?" Daisy sighed as she said "It's not that he doesn't know he just doesn't care." Lily stood up and ran to the door as she said "I'm gonna stick with him to make sure he doesn't fight anyone." They all watched as she left the room as they looked at one another and asked "Should we help the town out with a quest?" As Lily caught up to Thomas she asked "Where are you going?" Thomas glanced at her as he said "My jackets been taking a lot of damage and I'm running low on materials to fix it." Lily glanced at the jacket as she asked "How many times have you had to repair it?" Thomas thought about it for a minute and said "I dunno I lost count." Lily stared at him as she shouted "See this is the issue you've been injured so many times you can't even recall how many times you've been hurt." Thomas shrugged as he said "It doesn't matter as long as I'm still alive." Lily glanced at him as she said "If you keep thinking like that you won't be alive much longer." Thomas walked into a building and purchased some more thread as he asked "What good is a long life if it isn't any fun?" Lily stared at him as she asked "How is getting hurt fun?" Thomas shrugged as he walked out of the shop and into another building. Lily looked around the shop as she asked "Why are you in a book store?" Thomas shrugged as he said "I'm not really around to help you and Scarlett learn magic so by buying a magic book in your language you'll be able to learn a few new magic spells." Lily stared at Thomas as she asked "Aren't magic spell books expensive?" Thomas shrugged as he said "I dunno I can't read the prices." Lily glanced at some of the prices on the books as she seen books about agriculture, potions, and many other things. After searching for a few moments Lily found a moderately cheap spell book that costed roughly around a single gold coin. Thomas grabbed the spell book and walked over to the counter as he reached into his satchel and pulled out his bag of coins. Thomas glanced at the man running the shop as the man asked "Is that everything?" Thomas nodded and put the pouch on the counter as he said "Their should be enough silver to make up a gold coin." The man stared at Thomas as he asked "Would you like me to count your currency?" Thomas nodded as he said "Go ahead." The man poured the pouch and began to count the silver coins until he had enough for a gold coin. The man handed Thomas the pouch back with the spell book as he said "Thank you come again." Thomas handed Lily the spell book as he said "Now you and Scarlett have more spells at your disposal." Lily stared at the book as she said "I'm gonna be able to cast so many new spells!" As they walked out of the building Thomas and Lily began to walk outside of the town and to a nearby tree. Thomas sat under the tree as he said "Go on and give one of your spells a try." Lily began to flip through the book as she said "I don't know witch one to chose." Thomas yawned as he said "I'm sure their all very impressive but just choose one that sounds fun." After a few moments Lily shut the book and handed it to Thomas as she said "I know what spell I wanna do." Thomas watched as she held her hands above her head and shouted "Solar ray!" After doing this a beam of light shot from her hands and hit a stone. After the light hit the stone it began to pierce through it with the utmost ease. Thomas stared at the stone watching the light cut through it. Thomas glanced at Lily as he asked "Can it get any stronger?" Lily nodded as the light became more and more concentrated. Once the light was more focused Lily moved the light so that it would cut the stone in half. Thomas watched in amazement as he stood up and said "I'm gonna head back to the inn, I've already done everything I've pretty much wanted to." Lily watched as he walked into the town as she shouted "I'm gonna learn all of these spells so I'm finally able to beat you myself so I can command you to do anything." Thomas glanced at her as he mumbled "She's still going on about that?" Thomas shrugged as he said "I don't know why she just doesn't force me to with the slave seal."
