Chapter 74 - Chapter 74 Marlin’s Potion

Once they all arrived to the top of the tree Marlin was their waiting for them with the potion in hand as he said "Before we begin I'd like to put an information circle on you so I can keep track of every detail that the potion changes." Thomas took off his jacket and walked over to Marlin as he said "Just put it on so we can start our fight." Once the information circle was placed on Thomas's back Marlin handed him the potion and said "I've already recorded all of your current stats such as top speed, strongest punch, and mana capacity." Opal glanced at Thomas's tail as she asked "Would you like to up the stakes?" Thomas glanced at her as he mumbled "I suddenly have a bad feeling about this." Opal smiled as she said "If I win you have to let me touch your tail." Thomas stared at her as he said "That's not even fair I can't come close to beating you." Opal smiled as she said "If you beat me I'll do whatever you like." Thomas thought about it for a moment and grabbed the potion as he said "Your have yourself a deal, now then let's put your science experiment to the test." Just as he was about to drink it Opal handed him one of the fruits as she said "You should eat this before hand." Thomas grabbed the fruit as he asked "Could this potion kill me?" Marlin nodded as he said "It has a strong possibility since it is untested." Thomas are the fruit and held the potion up to his mouth as he said "Here goes nothing." As he drank the potion his eyes began to change purple as Marlin cheerfully shouted "Your mana intake is vastly expanding!" As Thomas finished the potion he set it down as Opal began to send the tree's branches at him. As the branches began to head towards Thomas he stood their as he smiled and said "This isn't some small boost." After saying this he dashed towards Opal and stood behind her as he said "This potion gives a pretty good boost." As Opal turned to face him she seemed startled as she said "Your speed has gone up." Marlin chimed in as he said "It seems every aspect has increased more than a hundred times!" As Opal quickly moved away she continued to attack Thomas he dodge everything flawlessly as he said "These branches are moving too slow." Opal watched as Thomas dodged them as she smiled and shouted "Good that means I won't have to hold back as much!" Marlin glanced at Opal as he mumbled "Is she actually going to use more than one percent of her power?" Thomas continued to dodge the branches as they began to move faster and faster while dodging the branches he began to close the distance between him and Opal as he shouted "How's this for fun?" Once Thomas got close enough to Opal he jumped into the air and did a spin as he attempted to kick her on top of the head as he shouted "Here I come!" However just before Thomas's blow could hit her she quickly evaded the attack with speed even faster than Thomas's as she appeared behind him put her hand on his back as she said "This fight is over once again." Thomas smiled as he grabbed onto her hand and used it to fling himself over her as he dodged the attack and said "That attack might've worked on me before I had this speed but don't think it'll work twice." She turned to him with a smile as he said "I haven't even used any of my magic yet." Marlin began to whisper to himself as he mumbled "If this potion really does increase every aspect of him it should even increase his focus." Thomas smiled as he said "After drinking that potion my heads been a lot clearer and because of that I've also been able to think ten times faster than usual." Opal flew directly at him while holding her hand out as she asked "What's your point." Thomas smiled as he said "You might not have known this but usually when I teleport theirs a small interval where I usually seem quite distracted by the spell and am usually left completely wide open." Opal watched as he vanished and appeared behind her with his hands in a ball as he attempted to bash her into the ground. Before he could hit her she quickly avoided it as she said "So what your saying is that interval no longer exists and that you can now fight while teleporting?" Thomas teleported behind her once again as he shouted "Your spot on!" She quickly faced him as she placed her hand on his stomach as she said "Just because you think your less unguarded doesn't mean you actually are." Thomas glanced at his stomach as he mumbled "Dammit." A few seconds after the wind began to immediately pierce through Thomas sending blood everywhere as it rained down on top of the tree as he smiled with blood coming out of his mouth as he and said "Just because your attacking your enemy doesn't mean he can't fight back." She stared at him as she shouted "It was your plan to attack unguarded?" Thomas continued to push his fists down onto her back as she stood their taking the hit continuing to blast through Thomas as she shouted "Your attacks can hardly phase me!" Thomas smiled as he raised his hands once again while shouting "That may be true, but I still have a trick or two up my sleeve!" As he shouted this he began to activate his aura release. As the aura spewed out of him it turned into a massive cloud that covered them both as Thomas shouted "I'm pouring all my mana into this one spell!" Marlin looked at his wrist at a watch as he said "They have about five seconds left." Once Thomas slammed his fists back down onto her back she coughed out a bit of blood as she smiled and said "Now this is a good fight." As she stopped firing the wind Thomas fell to the ground standing their with the hole still through his stomach as he smiled and said "Looks like you won this match too." After saying this Thomas's eyes changed back to their original color and he fell backwards onto the ground as he mumbled "Dammit despite having all that excess mana I burned through it all with one attack." As Thomas laid their with his blood still leaking out of him as he stared at the night sky he smiled and said "Even though I lost it was still a ton of fun." Opal walked over to him and stared at him as she asked "Will you be alright?" Thomas stared at her as he said "I'm fine." As Marlin walked over he congratulated Thomas as he said "You actually managed to make Opal the fairy queen use more than five percent of her power." Thomas glanced at Marlin as he said "What kind of accomplishment is that?" Marlin grabbed Thomas by the arm as he lifted him to his feet and said "You were marvelous out their and believe me five percent is actually a very large amount compare to her other challengers." As Marlin let go of Thomas he fell straight back down to the ground as he said "I won't be able to move for a while." Opal day down by Thomas as she asked "Did you go over your mana limit with that final attack." Thomas laid their as he glanced at her with an embarrassed look as he said "I might've went a little overboard." Opal smiled as she said "You were the first opponent to ever bring me harm." Thomas glanced at his now completely healed stomach as he said "Although this is just occurring to me, I just arrived in a place I know nothing about." Marlin began to walk away as he said "Let me guess you have no where to stay?" Thomas laid their without giving an answer as Marlin said "You don't have to be shy, we fairies are actually quite nice and you could probably ask just about anyone to stay." Thomas sighed as he said "That's not the problem, I'd be fine sleeping just about anywhere the problem is I can't move." Marlin stopped walking as he said "I forgot about that." Thomas laid their as he said "I should be able to move within a day." Opal stared at Thomas as she asked "Are you certain?" Thomas glanced at her as he said "I'm positive, mostly because I didn't want to use so much mana to the point where I would end up falling unconscious for a few days." Opal stood up and picked Thomas up as she said "Then I have no choice but to allow you to stay with me." Thomas looked at Marlin as he mumbled "I should've never made this bet."
