Chapter 72 - Chapter 72 Marlins Workshop

As they entered the room they seen Marlin sitting at a table with papers spread out in front of him as he mumbled things to himself. As Thomas walked over to him Marlin began to mess with some sort of contraption on the table as he mumbled "This magical grenade should have enough fire power to destroy a golem." As Thomas seen the contraption he poked Marlin and asked "What's it do?" As Thomas did this Marlin panicked dropped the bomb. When it hit the floor it began to detonate as Thomas picked it up he asked "What's it doing?" Marin stared at him and quickly put up a barrier surrounding himself as he shouted "Its a bomb get rid of it!" As Thomas held it it began to blow up as he muttered "Dammit." Once it exploded Opal began to panic as she shouted "Marlin did you kill him?" Marlin began to look around the now destroyed room as he began to search around as he nervously said "I'm sure he teleported away." After glancing around the room they noticed some blood splattered on the wall as Marlin said "Oh dear, he may very well be dead." As they looked around they seen Thomas standing in the center of the room completely naked as he said "Guess the effects of the fruit didn't wear off yet." As Marlin stared at him Opal quickly turned flush red and looked away as Marlin shouted "Your alive!" Opal still looking away shouted "He's alive and naked!" Thomas looked down as he said "It's a good thing I left the jacket on top of the tree." Marlin glanced around Opal as he whispered to her "You might want to call your guards and have them deliver a fresh pair of clothes." Opal walked out of the room as she said "I-I'll go do that now." As she left Marlin walked over to Thomas and said "You know you are very lucky." Thomas stared at him as he asked "Did you find a way to get back yet?" Marlin shook his head as he said "I haven't the time to find a way right now." Thomas looked around the room as he asked "Why wasn't Opal affected by the grenade?" Marlin began to clean as he said "A blast that weak would have no effect on such a powerful creature." Thomas stared at him with a blank smile as he mumbled "She wasn't affected by something that turned me to dust and blood." Marlin nodded as he pointed to Thomas's chest and said "I see that you have a slave seal." Thomas nodded as he said "Yeah and honestly it's a pain." Marlin continued to clean as he said "Unfortunately their are only a few ways to remove those." Thomas put his hand on the seal as he said "I wouldn't bother I'm sure it'll sort itself out later." Marlin glanced at him as he said "I doubt that." Thomas shrugged as guard walked into the room and said "I have clothes for the one named Thomas." Thomas stared at him as he mumbled "What a funny way to talk." As the guard looked at Thomas he asked "Are you the one named Thomas?" Marlin glanced at the guard as he said "Yes he's the one your looking for." As the guard gave Thomas the clothes he left and after Thomas got dressed Opal walked back in the room holding Thomas's jacket as she said "You forgot this." Thomas grabbed it and put it back on as Marlin asked "Why are you two getting along so well?" Thomas shrugged as Opal said "We worked things out." Marlin stared at Thomas as he said "I understand why you ate the fruit now and why you walked in with tattered clothes that were covered in blood." Thomas shrugged as he said "We were both just having fun." Marlin stared at him as he asked "How is beating each other to what should be death fun?" Thomas stared at him as he said "I never beat anyone to what should've been death." Opal looked away as she said "I might've gotten a bit carried away." Marlin looked back at the table as he said "I have no more time to waste the king has demanded that I make another few hundred of this grenades in a week." Thomas glanced around the room as he said "I may be more than just part of the blame for destroying your room." Opal pointed to the wall that she had pushed Thomas into before as she said "The blame is not entirely on you." Marlin began to look around as he mumbled "I have to find a way to get these two out of here so I can work in peace." After thinking for a while Marlin stared at Thomas and asked "What kind of training do you do?" Thomas sighed as he said "Not much unfortunately." They stared at him as he said "I punch boulders to increase my physical strength and fire off spells at random to increase my mana pool." They looked at each other as they whispered to each other "His training isn't gonna be very effective at all." Marlin stared at Thomas as he said "Why don't you participate in our soldiers training program." Thomas shrugged as he asked "Will it be fun?" Opal stared at him as she said "After your done training we can have fun again after." Thomas stared at her as he mumbled "Although getting the hell beaten out of me isn't normally fun it is something to do and I guess I can count it as training." Thomas stared at her as he said "Your on." She smiled as Marlin mumbled "She must be excited to get someone to fight her a second time." Thomas stared at Marlin as he said "I almost forgot to ask, what's the strength difference between you two?" Marlin thought about it for a minute as he said "She is about five times stronger than me." Thomas glanced at her as he said "That doesn't mean nothin to me, I'll still give it all I got!" Opal began to laugh as she said "I'll never be able to understand your species." Thomas stared at her as he shouted "I don't know if that's suppose to be an insult or not but I'm taking it as a compliment!" Marlin stared at Thomas as he said "The strength gap is way to wide for you to be claiming you'll defeat her." Thomas stared at him as he said "Marlin your totally killing the mood." Marlin sighed as he said "I do have a strength enhancing potion I've been meaning to try if you'd like to give it a test nest time you two fight." Thomas stared at him as he asked "What's it do?" Marlin reached into a cabinet as he pulled out a bottle with a mysterious liquid as he said "This potion will boost your mana and physical strength however it only lasts two minutes." Thomas stared at the potion as he said "And you want me to drink it so you can see if theirs anyway to increase those two minutes?" Marlin handed Opal the potion as he said "Your spot on." Thomas glanced at Marlin as he asked "How long did it take you to make this thing?" Marlin sighed as he said "To make that one little potion that increases a persons strength and mana by a large quantity, I'd say it took me twenty years." Thomas stared at him as he shouted "Why would you waste a potion that took you twenty years on a meaningless fight?" Marlin glanced at Thomas as he said "I don't have any information on the potion so if it makes any sense it isn't meaningless it's part of my research." Thomas shrugged as he said "Okay I guess that makes enough sense, but what if it doesn't work?" Opal lifted the potion to her eye as she glared at it Marlin said "If it doesn't work than at least I know that it needs improvement." Thomas shrugged as he said "Alright so ignoring the potion, what's this fairy soldier training thing?" Opal lowered the potion as she set it on the counter and said "Our fairy soldiers must be ready at all time and to be sure we have a special training regimen they all follow." Marlin glanced at Thomas as he said "I'll keep the potion here while you go try out our soldiers training." Thomas shrugged as he said "Let's give this thing a try." Opal began to walk out of the room as she said "I shall lead you to our barracks." Thomas followed her as she walked off and down a few more halls and down some stairs as they found themselves in a very large open room." As Thomas looked around he asked "Isn't a barracks suppose to be outside?" She glanced at him as she said "Wait here and I will tell them that you will be participating in this evening training." Thomas agreed as she walked towards a very muscular fairy. After they talked for a while she walked back towards Thomas and said "They said that their happy to have you."
