Somewhere in the first half of the Grandline, above the sea, high up in the sky, a flying contraption could be seen, heading into a certain direction. On that golden and emerald ark, sitting in his pilot throne, which could be withdrawn in emergency situations, was Ray with his right arm put on the armrest, supporting his head. Currently he was checking, wether he really flew in the direction the log pose showed him but his thoughts kept on returning to the question regarding what he wants to do in this world, especially since he would have to wait 14 years before the canon started. He thought that he could maybe find an answer, since he knew now, what time period he was in but no matter how much he thought it over he still didn't find an answer. So pushing such thoughts to the back of his mind he instead begun to think about the events that would happen in the future.
'2 days ago, I read that Fisher Tiger escaped from Mary Geoise, so it should be around 1 year later, when he goes back to free the other slaves. Should I perhaps go as well and wreck havoc with him? Honestly that sounds as fun as it sounds bothersome so maybe I shouldn't? But that could be a golden opportunity to meet Hancock before she becomes so arrogant and shameless and on top of that I could make my self look like some hero or savior in front of her! It's just that on the other side I would practically invite pains in the a** (marine) to come and annoy me. F**k it I'll think about it again when I reach the Sabaody Archipelago. I can always try to meet him first before deciding anything. It is a major event but maybe I'll find something out, that could point me towards my goal before then!'
After finishing his little debate with himself, Ray shifted his focus back on the log pose and on the sea beneath him till he saw an island appear in the distance. Looking from far away, he couldn't see anything but tall trees and green vegetation, without any sign of people living on that island. Looking back to the log pose he saw that the needle pointed towards it, causing a small frown to appear on Ray's face. For him, the seemingly absence of people and civilization was a bit unappreciated right now, since he wanted to buy some new clothes for himself. In the last 2 days, Ray came across 4 pirate ships, of which, 3 were raided by him earning Ray a few bellis and since he wasn't really satisfied with his current outfit anymore it was decided to get himself some outfits that would compliment Gilgamesh's looks a bit more in an elegant way. Though he could always just equip his golden armor, since it was among his treasures, he decided to save that one, for when he would enter big battles of which he was sure he would happen, at the very least he would participate in the war at the marine HQ but that's talk for the far future.
Not knowing which island it was yet, he flew towards the island to explore it and even though he wished for a modern civilization at the moment, Ray was still eager to go and see with his own eyes, what his first island in this world will be like. Soon he reached the outskirt, where he jumped down, and began his exploration by walking around. He noticed, that the trees were way bigger, than one could have seen from afar, probably even the biggest and tallest he has ever seen but to Ray's disappointment, beside the earth occasionally trembling weakly nothing else happened that piqued his interest, even after one hour of walking around. It wasn't until another hour went by, that Ray finally found his first animals which made him dumbstruck before he realized what island he is currently on .
'A tyrannosaur fighting with a triceratops in this jungle like environment and those weak trembles from before... I'm on little garden! Yes! I can see real dinosaurs and... wait... the giants!! I can see real giants with my own eyes! But where should I look for them I mean it's not easy to overlook them but still...'
Ray got excited from the idea of meeting the giants Dorry and Brogy and almost ran off to search for them but managed to stop himself in the last second and looked back at the fighting dinosaurs.
"Should I perhaps bring a snack for when we meet?"
This sentence caused the two dinosaurs, which happened to hear what he said, to suddenly stopp their fight as they both felt a cold shiver run down their back and sweat forming on their bodys. A fear like they had never felt before, gripped their heart and immobilized them, when Ray looked at them with a predatory intent and just when they snapped out of their stupor and were about to run away a spear and a sword appeared from two golden gates, that came into existence above their heads and...
*BOOOOMM!*
With supersonic speed, the weapons shot forward and smashed their heads into oblivion before hitting the ground and creating a big crater and shockwave.
After he killed the 'snacks' Ray summoned the heavenly chains Enkidou, a divine weapon able to bind even gods and seal their divinity, and used it to drag the two corpses behind him while he went to search for the giants. It wasn't like he couldn't carry the dinosaurs himself, he just though it would be a bother, especially because he didn't want blood all over him.
If any god or divine being saw, for what trivial things Ray used the heavenly chain, they would faint and gain a weak heart from the shock.
A short while later, the tremor happened again but this time Ray also heard a sound, which reminded him of the sound produced when weapons clash against each other. He sped up his walk and went into the direction from where the sound came from and not long after that, he came out of the jungle into a big clearing, where he saw to giants dueling. One was a well-built giant with a long beard and dressed in a Viking attire with a helmets hat went over his eyes. Dorry. The other Gian was dressed in a Viking costume as well, which consisted of a red overall with golden button straps, fur linings, a leather strap around his right shoulder and another as a belt, yellow pants with black stripes and fur linings at the bottom, yellow shoes, and a red helmet with two horns. He had a blond beard shaped like an axe's blade, beady eyes, a wide grin, and a pig-like nose. Brogy.
Ray knew that once they started they wouldn't stop until evening, so he decided to sit down and watch their fight with starts in his eyes.
'WOW! I'm seeing real giant duel each other!... Holy sh** aren't they way more powerful than what was shown in the anime?! They move like real masters without a single unnecessary move and even though they are giants, they move just as nimble and agile as a normal sized human master would! Wait a moment... didn't they just use haki?! So they know haki?!'
Like a little kid would watch his favorite fighting scene in his favorite anime, Ray watched the fight go on the whole day, till the sun slowly started to go down. Dorry and Brogy stopped fighting and set down.
"HAHAHA Dorry aren't you growing weaker, I almost cut you in two back there!"
In a thundering voice, Brogy started speaking to Dorry, to which the later answered in an equally thundering voice.
"Huaahahaha! Keep dreaming!! As if a slow and weak basta** could ever beat me! But let's continue that tomorrow since we have two visitors today!"
Ray was already about to go and greet them but he halted and showed a surprised expression at first and then a confused one.
'Aren't I the only visitor?'
While he was thinking about who could the other person be, he saw a young mal walking out of the jungle on the other side of the clearing. The man seemed to around 27 Years old. He was a 6,6 feet tall and had a lean figure with black hair, a short beard, mustache and sideburns that pointed upwards. He wears black and red ornated clothing with a crucifix pendant that hid a little dagger, which gave him the appearance of a Spanish swordsman. His attire consisted of a wide-brimmed black hat decorated with a large plume, and a long, open black coat with no shirt underneath, with red, flower-patterned sleeves and collar. He has light purple pants held up by a decorated belt and tucked inside overly large boots in comparison to his leg size. On his back, he carried a large sword that was as long as Ray was tall. On the hilt of this blade is a crossguard, though the bars between the blade and the hilt are much longer than average. The blade itself is pitch-black with a very strong sheen, and its shape is similar to the German "Großes Messer", a single-edged long sword with a slight curve at the end of the blade. Overall, the sword looks like a large black cross.
Ray, after he saw the man, was surprised, because he knew very well who that man is, or rather this younger version of said man.
'WHY the F**K is Dracule Mihawk on this Island!'
