Chapter 1 - New World

A man went outside of a small two story house, he was wearing a business suit. Well at least he was wearing it.

'It's time to get a job' or so he thought, like usual he was turned down. Well they didn't directly say it to his face, but deep down he himself knew that they didn't even care. He went out of the building and sighed 'Well so much for a high paying job'.

His phone rang and he answered it, the person from the other side had a low voice like a man's. The man asked "Sid, did you get a job yet?".

"I haven't, why?"

The man said "Oh great..." Sid cut him off and said "What's so great about not having a job?".

"Don't be too bitter Sid, I was about to tell you about a new game that you might like".

"What's so good about a game when I'm broke, in debt even".

"It's a new game called New World, I heard a lot of people earn thousands of cash just by selling items and live streaming. There's only one downside though, the VR device costs ₱10,000".

"It would have been a good idea if I had enough money".

The two talked about a lot of things and it helped Sid make up his mind.

'I might as well check the game'.

Sid entered his house and he spoke, "I'm home!".

A man with a deep voice spoke, "Did you get a job or just the usual?".

"The usual", said Sid.

Sid asked his father with a hint of worry, "Oh is An here yet?".

His father answered him and said, "Not yet".

Sid walked up the stairs and checked the time on his watch, it said [4:20 PM].

Sid shook his head and thought 'She should be with her friends'.

Sid changed his clothes and was now wearing a long-sleeved shirt that was red in color, and pants that was blue in color. He booted up his PC and searched the internet the words [How does New World players earn money].

Sid with his mouse, clicked on the top most option.

[Are you wondering how New World players earn money? then here are all the answers to your questions.

1. Selling and Auctioning - Just like the name players can Auction their items. Click this link to see how much they sell it https://www.newworld.com/auction

2. Converting In-game Currency - Yes players can convert the In-game currency into real money. The ratio is 1:10, ten coins was equivalent to $1.

3. Livestreaming - Do I really need to explain this? I guess not.

Sid looked at the options in surprise, all he could think of was 'That easy? Well considering how much people play the game, it is a good idea to earn money buy selling equipment'.

Sid right-clicked the link on the first option. He clicked the top most equipment and was astonished to see the current bid on it [1,000,000 Gold] and still increasing. Sid looked at the description of the equipment.

"Unique grade weapons must be pretty rare, if not why would it even reach such a price". If players heard Sid he would've been beaten to death, Unique grade weapons are just like their grade Unique. There won't be any Unique grade weapons with the same name.

Sid checked all the other equipment and found out that this is the only Unique grade weapon that is being sold on the whole site. Sid learned one thing as he surfed through the site, the game is really profitable. He doesn't even need to think about making livestreams if he gets at least a rare weapon and sells it. He would already have around ₱2,500,000 by selling at least 5 rare grade equipment, instantly paying their debt.

Sid made his decision to play the game, but there's still one question that was bugging him. "Where can I get 100,000?". A few minutes passed and Sid could only think of one way, to sell his game accounts.

Sid put three accounts on a gaming auction, with one of the accounts having a more expensive starting bid.

Knock! Knock!

Sid heard someone knocking on his door and opened.

A woman that was clearly on her 40s, but still had her refined beauty. It was Sid's mother, she said to Sid "It's time to eat dinner".

While they ate Sid's mother spoke, "Sid I heard that you didn't get a job again, why not just do labor jobs?".

Sid quickly answered, "It would take generations to pay for our debts if that was my job".

Sid's words made everyone silent. Time passed and everyone was finished eating, Sid went to his room and checked the time on his phone [7:30].

Sid searched about New World, specifically the classes/jobs. There were many classes in New World, and a player must do class quests to have the said class. Out of all the classes Sid decided that he should be a Mage, the reason was simple. The [Skill Teach] function. Players can teach other players a skill, players decided that they put a price tag depending on which skill they should teach a player.

After hours of researching Sid noticed the time and slept.

While Sid was asleep, the second account he put on the auction made everyone that noticed it crazily bid. All they had in their mind was one sentence 'Who in their right mind would try power leveling a character without using stat points?'. They all greedily increased the bid.

₱5,600

₱5,900

₱6,900...

₱10,000

[6:00 AM]

Sid woke up like usual and went to the bathroom. He went back to his room and checked his PC, he was dumbfounded when he saw for how much he sold his second account. He wiped his eyes as if he cleaned it, he glanced at the screen once more and was astonished.

"Why was my second account only sold for ₱10, didn't I put the starting bid as... whaaat‽ I sold it for a whopping ₱10,000".

The first account Sid sold was bought for ₱2,750 and the third account was sold for ₱2,690. Sid earned a total of ₱15,440.
