Chapter 72 - Chapter 70

"I can't believe you're really alive, Silas.", Charles Kim said to himself. He had always thought that his long-time friend was alive somewhere but he didn't expect it to be true.

With his closest attendant behind him, Charles walked towards the unconscious old man who was lying weak on the bed. There was a ventilator at the side to which had keep Silas alive for some years now.

Charles Kim sat on the chair just beside the former chairman of Lee Group. A man once known to be the most merciless in both business and underworld.

"This may be your karma, friend. I told you didn't I..?", he took a glance over Silas' slim and wrinkle hand. The poor old man was too thin like a skeleton.

".. if you're not afraid of the consequences, then there's always retribution.", Charles let out a small sigh.

He remembered something from the past where Silas would always take extreme measures to get what he wanted. He wasn't the type of man that would just wait to be fed. Every wealth, stocks, power. He earned it by his wit and strength alone.

But there was always something lacking no matter how great a man he was. And Charles had seen it in him. That 'something' was love. Silas Lee didn't know how to love the things he acquired. He viewed them as tools and convenient items.

"Now you failed miserably, my friend.", Charles had nothing to say for his dying friend. He had been telling Silas numerous times that one day he would regret the way he lived his life. But Silas never paid attention to his words, he brushed it off like it was nothing more than a bark of the 'weak ones'.

Seeing how quiet the room was, Charles got up from his seat and he faced his attendant who was guarding the door.

"Let's go back.", he said.

"This way, chairman Kim.", the attendant showed him the way out and he moved away from the place, and before stepping outside, he looked back at his friend.

"He found you so easily. Your grandson could become just like you or maybe he'll be more terrifying.", Charles said to no one in particular. He had been looking for Silas for about seventeen years but found no lead, and Aubrey found him in just less than weeks.

Charles Kim walked through the top floor of special VVIP ward and he later went inside the private elevator. The ward was just a couple of floors under the top office in Prime Hospital. Only around 13 VVIP wards were available in Prime Hospital. While there were 30 wards for VIP rooms.

Sam Kim was on his way to his office after finishing his surgery that took half a day. He wanted to take some rest before his scheduled business trip in city P tomorrow morning. And he kept hearing that the chairman was here today but he didn't found his father anywhere. Charles was known to have retired almost completely as a chairman of Prime Hospital. Although he still kept overseeing the hospital from behind, it was an unspoken truth that he was going to hand over the position in the near future.

Sam pressed on the elevator and he went inside. He took out his glasses as he wiped it off the dust. The elevator took a halt on the VVIP floor before going further upstairs. And he saw his father right in front of his eyes.

"Father- no, chairman?!", he wore his glasses quickly to make sure he didn't see things.

"Why are you so surprised?", Charles took his step into the elevator and his attendant followed after him. He was looking composed as ever.

"Why are you here? If I knew you'd come then I would have greet you properly.", Sam heaved up a simple sigh. This felt like an audit from the higher-ups.

"Can't I be here? Or should I report to you everytime I want to come?", Charles put his hand behind his back. He stood like what a chairman should, mighty but somehow it seemed low-key. It was his style.

"I didn't mean that. Did the president know?", Sam asked, he was referring to his older sister Annie Kim. It was impossible for her to not know.

"Why should a president know of a chairman's arrival?", Charles said while keeping his head towards the front, he didn't spare his son a glance.

Sam didn't bother asking for more when he saw his father in no mood to talk. Did something happen? Well, whatever.

Upon reaching the top floor where all high office were stationed, Sam moved outside from the seemingly stuffy elevator. Before the door closed again, he faced his father.

"Be careful on your way home.", then he bowed his head.

"Good work.", Charles said before he disappeared behind the elevator door.

Sam continued walking to his office while sighing. His father may appeared to be strict on the outside, but he was just as kind on the inside. The only thing is that he wasn't good at expressing his feelings.

"I'm just the same as him am I..", Sam Kim went inside his room and he loosened his crooked tie before reclining onto the soft couch.

"So.. what shall we do now?", Aubrey said that but as soon as he hugged Lucy, he placed a soft kiss on her cheek. And then the kiss intensified towards the open area of her slender neck and it slowly went downside to her shoulder.

This time, Aubrey was the one to take the lead as he grabbed Lucy's waist in his hand. She remained seated on the desk while he stood the closest to her body, even a tiny piece of paper wouldn't be able to go through between them. Lucy wrapped her arms behind his back as she leaned over for another kiss.

"What are you going to do..?", she asked him in a hitched voice. She was getting very hot starting from the inside.

"You tell me.", he said, proceeding with the kisses all over her face and her neck.

"I thought you've lost.. interest?", she tilted her head to the side, giving him access for her pale skin around her neckline and shoulder.

"I've been missing you and couldn't sleep well." , he drew his face closer towards her, there was a hint of sincerity in his words. Lucy's cheek became red in an instant. She thought she was the only one who was missing him all this time.

"Goodness Aubrey.. even a day of parting is lonely! What should I do if we don't see each other for a whole week or worse- month?!"

Aubrey chuckled slightly when Lucy told him that. There was no way such thing would happen.

"Are you being paranoid?", he laughed.

"It's because I love you!", she turned around to avoid looking at his eyes. Her face beet red.

'Geez.. you're not a middle school kid Lucy!'

"Me too.", his voice soft.

Lucy heard him and she decided to face him again, her arms still around his back and her black eyes were shining beautifully.

"I'm in love with you too.", he told her softly. He sounded so kind that Lucy thought he might be an angel from above. Her only angel.

Her face flushed immediately from the sudden attack of Aubrey's confession. Red became redder in color. She didn't know what her face looked like right now. And thinking about it wouldn't do her any good. Better take this chance before it slip away.

Lucy began to ask for more as she was missing his touches. He complied readily as his hand moved skillfully under her yellow blouse at the back, reaching straight for her bra strap. Lucy started to feel the pressure and the urges. Her body wanted to feel more and it grew hotter every second.

"Hurry..", she pleaded while her hand went to grope his chest, shoulder and also under. They were touching each other as if claiming themselves as absolute partner.
