Raiya
Whenever it came to love. I've always tried to avoid it. No matter how beautiful or talented a woman was, I was never fazed and I definitely was not into men. I've also had my fair share of women in my younger days. Until that fateful day.
Those captivating golden eyes had caught my sight and his pure heart didn't show any malice or greed towards me. Instead his eyes showed curiosity and longing. I wanted to get to know that golden eyed teen. Ever since that day I searched for him thinking he was girl, yet he was already so close by. The scars I left on his body picks away at my life everytime I see him. The boy I hated with my entire being was the same golden eyed teen that caught my eyes. I hated him, but I longed for him, but I have also injured him.
I was in turmoil and confusion, so I left for 2 years. I stopped thinking and put him behind me. I locked away this complicated feeling and focused on the tasks in front of me. I needed to train my soldiers, meet with the King, train my inner elemental powers, speak with my brothers, and more. I didn't give myself a moment to think about him and worked myself to death.
Many times I blacked out from over working and my younger brothers would scold me. It's quite funny, I've never been scolded by them before.
"How long do you plan to keep going like this?!" Naiwei shouted at me, "Look at the dark circles around your eyes! Not only that, but your health is declining!"
"..."
"Why aren't you saying anything?! Why are you doing this to yourself?" Naiwei asked.
"..."
"Is it mother?"
"..." I stayed silent, but my complexion gave me away.
"That cripple?" Naiwei questioned.
"Junhe."
"What? Who's that?"
"His name is Junhe. Don't call him a cripple." I sighed and closed my eyes.
Naiwei and Hulang was dumbfounded as they looked at me in shock.
"Hahaha. He has a name? Junhe? Why does that name sound so familiar?" Hulang questioned and in a few minutes they both screamed in shock.
"T-that girl you were searching for?!" Naiwei shouted in terror, "Don't tell me you're g-ga-"
"I'm not!" I yelled and then sighed.
"But isn't he blind?" Hulang asked.
"I thought so too until some idiots tried to r*pe him. I just happened to see his eyes right then." I burrowed my face in my hands and sighed.
"Seriously?! Then those missing guest?" Naiwei asked.
"Obviously, I chopped off their d*cks and hands before I sent them off to hell." I said calmly with a hint of anger and a glare.
"Waow~ so you're wrapped around his little finger now." Naiwei said sarcastically as a little grin creeps out from his face.
"You should stay away from him. Did you forget what father told us? Mother went crazy and brainwashed that boy. Father tried his best to protect him, but still couldn't keep him away from our claws. If anything we should be on or knees begging for forgiveness after being exploited by us." Hulang said calmly.
"I know that already!" I shouted in anger.
"You're a hopeless case. Knowing you and how possessive you can be, you'll only bring him more harm than good." Hulang sighed.
"Why do you think I'm overworking myself to this point?" I glared at them and Naiwei sighed.
"I know! Why don't you get married? Find a good wife and make a family. Meiyi's wedding is coming up soon. A lot of influential families will be there! You'll forget about him in no time." Naiwei suggested.
Marriage. I'm already 25. It's about time I settle down. I sighed. After a few months I returned home with my brothers. Influential families came in and out to congratulate Meiyi and one of them was the prestigious Sui family.
At the time I was sitting in front of the family lake lost in thought as footsteps approached me. A lady in yellow stood behind me with her two servants holding an umbrella over her. She signaled for servants to back off and came to sit next to me as I ignored her.
These type of women are the hardest to deal with. They don't give up easily when they're trying to pursue someone and they'll even use their bodies. I sighed.
"What do you want?" I asked.
"Oh my. I didn't think you'd be the first to ask the question. I heard that the eldest son of the Yun family was the hardest to please."
"Groundless rumors. I just detested people with too many masks." I said coldly as I looked into her eyes filled with greed.
"Forgive my rudeness. My name is SuiMoXian. I'm the 2nd oldest daughter in the family, please call me Moxian."
"My apologies Miss Sui, but I have no intentions on starting with first name basis. I'm Yun LaiYa. Feel free to call me Young Master Yun." I looked at her indifferently.
She chuckled unfazed by my rudeness towards her. That's why these type of women are the hardest to deal with. She chatted with me for a while and all I could focus on was her heavy stench of perfume and makeup. Looking closer at her face, she was quite beautiful. Her eyes were light brown and her hair was fairly long, but there was so much greed in her eyes.
"Miss Sui. If someone left a scar on your body, what would you do?"
"Hmm. I'd kill them and if I can't then I'll make them pay two folds." She smiled.
"Mmm."
After that she leaned her chest agaisnt my body and gave her good byes. I felt disgusted. I couldn't believe I sat there all day talking to her. Just as the sun set I saw a figure moving in the dark towards the location of Meiyi's reception spot. A thief? I chased after him, but the one standing there wasn't a thief.
I had avoided him the entire time and yet there he was standing in front of me. I couldn't help embracing him. He smelled like herbal tea. He has gained more weight. He's slightly taller now. His overgrown hair was groomed. His malnourished look had disappeared completely.
Oh how much I missed him. I wanted to kiss him. I wanted to push him down and hold him. Junhe. Junhe. Junhe. If there was a next life. I promise that you'll never have to experience pain ever again. In that life I will treat you better and protect you. Even if you can't forgive me, I still ask for forgiveness. Whether it takes you 10 years, 100 years, 1000 years. I'll wait lifetimes for you. In the end I couldn't deceive myself.
