"That was easy." Alina noted.
Salem agreed.
"What do you think Inquisitors are?" Ruby wondered.
"I have no idea." Salem replied. "But based on his reaction, Inquisitors have a lot of power."
"Why did you want to come here?" Ruby asked.
"Information." Salem said. "And because I want to leave a parting gift for this world."
"A...Parting gift?" Ruby asked. "Why does that sound ominous?"
"It shouldn't." Salem said, scratching his ear. "I think I have a way to make another nanomancer. Think of it as an inheritance. I'm curious how it will effect this world."
"Oh, Berlin." Alina sighed. "Never change."
"Let's go to an inn." Salem said, changing the subject. "From what I've read, that's where the good information is."
Ruby hid her mouth with her hand. "Or should we go to an information broker?" She asked.
"Oh. That makes sense." Salem said, realizing that he still expected too many novel cliches. "Do you know the way?"
Neither of them did, so they stopped a random passersby.
"Where is the nearest information broker?" Salem asked.
"Down two streets, and take a left." The pathetic passersby said, shaking in his boots.
Following their directions, they arrived at a run-down building.
They exchanged glances.
"This seems awfully suspicious." Salem remarked.
"No. It's not supicious at all." Ruby responded sarcastically. "Let's just waltz in there for information and we won't get attacked."
Alina giggled.
"Why don't we go with Reaper?" Salem asked.
"Good idea." Alina said. "That way we can wait, away from the dangers."
Salem summoned Reaper, who appeared kneeling at Salem's feet. "What do you require of me, master?" Reaper inquired.
"Could you go and ask for information regarding slave trade in this area?" He asked.
Reaper was happy to oblige. "Yes, master." He said before turning and entering the building. Salem used Eyes of the Machinist to observe what was going on inside.
A woman with a very deep neckline greeted Reaper immediately after he walked through the door.
"Hello, sir. What can I do for you?" She asked, slightly caught off guard seeing Reaper was just a skeleton.
"I'm looking for information." Reaper said. "Specifically that regarding slave trade."
"Will you be paying?" She asked, looking to his hands.
Salem silently commanded Reaper to reach into his temple so that Salem could make some gold coins out of nanobots. This made it seem like Reaper had a spot to store things in his skull.
Reaper held the gold coins in his hands. "Will this be enough?" He asked her.
She swiped the coins from Reaper's hands. "There is a ringleader in this city by the name of Rothschild. His location his unknown, but you should be able to find him through his underlings, or buy from him; depending on your preference. He operates primarily in the west side of town." She said this all in one breath, as if she feared Reaper would change his mind.
"Thank you." Reaper said before turning and leaving without incedent.
"We could've done that ourselves." Salem remarked. "But better safe than sorry."
Alina and Ruby nodded in agreement.
"Thank you, Reaper." Salem said, unsummoning him.
He turned to Alina and Ruby. "We've got a slaver to remove."
