Chapter 42 - Patriotism

Ella jumped to accuse him, "You have been playing around for months. You sent Nick to find me and bring me here."

Before Roy could interject anything she cleared it out, "Don't dare deny it," pointing her forefinger in his direction. He sighed and said, "Yes. You know it now."

"Well then. Were you planning to keep this up forever? Too bad I messed it, Yeah?" she swallowed and vowed herself to not shed a single tear now.

He looked at her with a sorry face which she absolutely ignored. He reached up to her when she moved back from him. "I only meant to find you Elle. I would have done in any way less painful. But-"

"So everything back then was a lie. How much did you pay him to fuck me?" Ella pointed out.

"I am going to kill him!" he said in a deep voice which vibrated in the room.

"But we did come close. We came close enough for me to forget about you. Hell! I was beginning to live a life with him," Ella tutted out to him, satisfied with his evident scowl on his face. She continued, "We kissed and did so many things. We had done more-"

The rest of the sentence was caught by Roy when he pulled her towards him roughly, carrying her on her bed with his mouth on hers the entire time; angrily kissing her which made her feel numb. He pulled her lips one by one, pushing his tongue down and marking himself on her lips, such that any other mark disappeared with only him remaining lone. Undecided that was what happened with Ella as she was finding it too difficult to think anything with him clutching her so close and his hands grabbing her breasts tightly, which made her cry loudly in pain only to be soothed by his kiss in her mouth. She wished she had worn a bra, but she had hoped for taking a nap after the bath, hence was ready to sleep without wearing one.

She was trying to remove him away by shoving her hands at him, but he only grabbed them with his both hands to the either side of her by intersecting their fingers. It only enacted a hot pleasure for Ella which she was trying to stray herself from. He was continuing from her mouth to her jaw and neck. When he was about to move further she said hoarsely, "Stop. Let go." She was panting heavily when Roy stopped kissing her neck and slowly looked up to see into her eyes directly. He let go of her, where she lied in sprawled manner, disgusted by herself to feel this way for this man.

He got up from him looking unaffected as though he was just devouring another fuck, which didn't make the case easier for Ella as she got more disgusted with herself. "You wouldn't need that phone anymore," he said coldly indicating exactly which phone for the both of them. "Would have played with you more but suddenly I got an important work to do."

Saying that he exited her room without another glance. She didn't need to know what important work he was hinting at, but she didn't feel any remorse specially when she was the one who was hurt most in this idiotic game. Muttering some colorful slangs to Roy she got up and headed to the bathroom yet again. She couldn't bear to even get a wink of sleep now.

Days passed by with the both of them not uttering a single word to each other except for any necessary mentions. On the fifth day of their vow of utter silence, the same boy was back to find his Mistress. The boy had effectively managed to address his Mistress with his eyes closed and walking ahead until colliding with his Mistress.

"Shit! Um, I-I am sorry Mistress. I wasn't looking," the boy apologized casting his eyes down.

"Yes I can see that." Ella picked up the book which had fallen from her hold due to the impact. She looked up at the boy expectantly, when he didn't speak she sighed softly and asked, "What is it? Are you again lost?"

The boy managed to blush profusely and stammered, "U-mm, you are required a-at the parlor Ma-Mistress." Tempting to deny the invitation she almost did just that, almost! Then looking at the boy's pitiful gaze at her denial, she had to give in. She wondered whether Roy purposely employed a young boy to handle the matters like this with his cute face.

Reaching the same hall she had been called to a few days earlier, Ella made her way to the designated chair and sat gracefully, that the people in the room were awed by it. Fully aware of Roy being seated next to her, she asked to no one in particular, "Shall we proceed?"

Roy gave a small nod at her while going through the attire she had worn, immediately reminding of the last time with them together. Clearing his throat he motioned to a member Oxford Smith; who stood from his place which was second right to Ella.

"Good morning Miss Kingsly. I am Oxford Smith, regulator of this month's meeting discussions," Oxford Smith acknowledged Ella, "We have been receiving threats by the suppliers of oil to cancel down the agreement with us if we don't agree to their increased prices. They have made this decision so suddenly that Governor Adams Bischoff is pushing us to get it dealt with. The Parliament hasn't been any helpful to resolve it. They have given us two days to get the remaining oil ordered in London, before the news spreads to the press." He stated with a considerable silence.

"Find out what the Chinese are up to, Mr. Smith." That order seemed to create a question in everyone's minds. Mr. Smith being the regulator in this meeting, he had to conjure that thought, "But why do we have to find about China's whereabouts?" That was the exact question which was roaming around each one's minds as Ella looked over them.

"For the Saudis to be demanding a larger amount of money with no monetary display of losing an important customer like London, it only means that they have a greater back up with them."

"And why do you suspect it to be China?" It was Roy who asked it. The both of them looked at each other knowing what the other was thinking.

"It's just a speculation from my side, considering China's growth has increased the most in the past decade. China could be a start," Ella answered which was duly written in the minutes by a man in the corner.

"Pardon me Miss Knightly, we have got only two days to decide upon this matter. And to spy on every suspicious country would lead to no end," This time it was the same man who had commented Ella in the last meeting.

"I appreciate the concern Mr. Parker. But the first step of moving forward any negotiation is to learn about the possibility of being rejected. Which we already are. All we have to know is what is helping them to stand against the most renowned city in this world."

"It is Mr. Park!"

"Right. Absolutely." Ella regarded sheepishly.

That shut up all the doubts of anyone thinking about the Kingsly here to be any good; After all the only dagger which works well until today was the patriotism to the country. The meeting was adjourned to a later date, everyone exited the hall one by one. Among whom Ella's eyes strayed towards Mr. William Brooks for a fleeting moment until he was gone.
