I slammed my body against the cell bars until I was sore. I couldn't bear what he would do to Arishia. It's not that she instantly became one of our allies, it is rather she became trustworthy the second she started going against those things and even took part in the killing of so many of his infected lackeys. I slammed myself once more against it before crumbling down to the ground in immense pain from trying to force my way out. Fear was overcoming me completely now as well. I guess I've been too shocked to notice it at first, but now that I've realized it, it is worse.
I sat there trembling, thinking about the guards out there realizing that those things are missing, if not just Shoki at the very least. I sat there thinking more about them and how to get out to help them. The adrenaline in me built up, as my mind went everywhere. Finally, it settled on one possible idea for the time being. With fear making me faster, I can run through the bars with a lot of force from the momentum. I picked myself up and walked to the back of the cell and faced the bars.
I ran as fast as I could throwing myself against the bars. The pain as I flung into it was insufferable, as I fell I felt the barred gate behind me dented. As I went from a groveling state to a half-standing state as I clung onto the bars, I pushed the door but it didn't budge. I got back a few feet and jumped at the door, hitting around the dent falling through. As I fell with the door to the ground, it landed with a pound clang sending a sharp pain through my spine.
I laid there panting and wincing, after a minute, I heard screaming or yelling. It was pretty muffled so I couldn't tell who was screaming, Arishia or the guards. It took a minute or two before the screaming died down, and I was able to get up. As I stumbled towards the door, it opened with Arishia running out crying. She ran straight into me as we fell, I pushed her off me as quick as I could before standing up.
"I needed to get you off me, but we have to hurry out. They are after you, the other three are safe." I said grabbing her wrist dragging her out. As we ran through, it did my best to block off each door separating the cells. It was shitty, but it was fine as long as it held for a minute or two. Once we did make it to the front though, I realized that the front was only partially barricaded. I started to move everything and the two of us got out. As I closed the door behind me, a person in front of us called us over. I looked up and saw one of the guards from earlier.
"What happened to the others?" I questioned him as we ran over. "Those 2 men killed them... they tore through them like savages, animals. I've never seen anything so terrifying. The way they bit through them. Wait, where are your other members or whatever?" He asked completely whilst being completely paranoid. "They are still there, I don't think they will do anything to them luckily. They currently are in the cells, most likely to be used at bait later on against us." He tried to look at us but couldn't make eye contact. "D-do you think most people know a lot about this thing yet?" I shook my head and looked back at the police station. "We need to run." I can get us a patrol car..." He said running towards the station again. It took a moment till he came back from around the side in a patrol car.
He pulled up in front of us and we hopped in, as he stepped on the pedal and we were off. We skidded to the end of the road and made a sharp turn before continuing on a bit longer. We got to a store and drove to the back of it. The back looked like an old stocking area. as we got out and went to rest at the back, the guard looked at me and smiled. "You are fucking retarded aren't you." He wheezed. I had a puzzled look, until he showed me the mostly healed bite mark on the side of his body.
"You bastard, your fucking one of those things!" I shouted. "Yup, and guess who is the true one that killed them all?" He said with a slyly . "Fuck! How could you!" Because I go by Mr.Shoki's orders. If he tells me to kill every last one of my fellow officers, it is done." He had an eerie grin stretched across his face. I didn't have my gun on me so I couldn't do anything myself for the time being. I grabbed Arishia's hand and backed up a bit. I squeezed her hand making eye contact with her for a moment before shooting my eye towards the guard. She nodded.
We both shared the same mindset for the time being, get as close as possible and stop him, killing him if at all possible. The back area of where we were didn't have many things to use or anything, but everything that was around was just junk. He hadn't set anything up to stop us either, it was fair game. And he just fucked up.
I raced towards him and his eyes lit up, a firey blaze behind them, the symbolization that he was ready to fight as well. 6 meters. 5 meters. 4 meters. 3 meters. Right at 2 meters from him, I dashed to the side and snatched a plastic carton from the ground. I jumped and spun flinging it with all my might hoping I'd hit him. I landed on my feet stumbling in the slightest, not enough to completely offset me though. I looked at him, his head was bleeding, not much, but it means I hit him.
Whether your human or one of those, you can still get concussions. That's an upside to the virus, it doesn't make you an invincible zombie that only allows true death. Try to give a zombie a concussion all you want and you will always fail, try on one of these. And you just found their greatest weakness. They rely on senses and damaging those is not good, even only for a few seconds is all you need to win against an infected.
His head swayed back and forth a few times as Arishia came up from behind making contact with his body, tapping his shoulder. Once she did, she started her magic. I could onluy watch in awe as she moved her arms around and its body was commanded by her hands and arms. I stopped fawning over it and searched around for a possible weapon to put it out of its misery. I runmaged before finding a couple planks of wood nailed together. It was as if someone tried to make something with it back here. I don't know what it was, but now it was my weapon.
I walked over, seperating the boards in the process. I tried to get the boards to have as much nail hanging out as possible. I raised it and sent it flying to its head. The nails sank in, a cracking sound as they penetrated its skull. This would be barely enough to kill it, but it would stop it from even trying to resist now.
"Wound is too shallow" I know" I said in return. I had another plank in my other hand, this one didn't have nails as long as the previous one though. I raised it and slammed it on its head. I raised it again and slammed its head yet again. This happen again and again, throwing its blood along the ground. The skull was now visible after a minute or two of this now too. I kept going, slamming it harder into its head each time. Finally, the plank broke; Blood covered the ground and little shards of skull were around as well.
Arishia was now in a corner throwing up, I looked around elsewhere in the case something caught my eye. None did. "Succubus, car. Let's go." Arishia wiped her mouth and shuffled to the car. I turned on the engine, luckily the keys were still in the car, and waited for Arishia to enter. The door opened and shut, and the sound of someone buckleing up lead me to hit the gas pedal. "We aren't far from the station, but we are far in terms of readiness. Those others in there, I need to get them out." I looked in the rear view mirror, watching Arishia nod slowly.
Death is gonna be normal in this, that's not difficult to understand. She will have to get used to it with how all this shit is going down now. No matter what though, we have to stop this one way or another. "We can't go anywhere really and the infected will be running around in no time flat. They are at their greatest as of now. This might become an all out war between humans and discords if we don't solve this quick. Military will be here within days with the speed this will esculate at. Two weeks at most." It's this bad?" Arishia responded, she didn't have much worry in her voices. She knew that Shoki was gonna do this to an extent. But the speed and severity was suprising even her. Not good.
We got to a hotel on the other side of the city, there were not many people there, but it seemed most of the people here had a vague understanding of what was going on. "There are fast running zombies outside! Its bad!" one of them screamed at another. I shook my head and joined into the shout-fest.
"These aren't zombies!" I shouted. Others shouted insults and questions that included, 'shit up dumbass', 'you know nothing', 'how would you know', and so on. "Listen everyone, they are called Discords. They are biological engineered mutations that have the same way that a zombie would infect someone though. Biting. It doesn't need to be biting only though. There are a number of things they can do. Most contact through any bodily fluid can do it." Everyone instantly stopped shouting and turned to me. I had caught their attention, but I'm not sure if it was in a good way.
"You just desribed it right?" One shouted. "Nope, there are a lot more to these fuckers. Stuff that will make you scared shitless. And I know you know realize I helped create these, but I'm one of the only ones that knows exactly what we are up against as of right now." They all stared, some with fear, others with angert, and some just blankly. I put an arm on Arishia's shoulder, "This is a girl that is very useful as well. Without her, I myself, creator of these things would have been dead by now." Everyone stared at her, some commented on how cute and beautiful she was.
"By the way, none of you could even match up to my expectations. So don't even try to ask me anything." She declared. "Anyways, for now, that you all realize whats going on, head up to the second floor and baricade all areas except the elevator off. Leave only rooms. Once done, head up to floor 3 and do the same. This place has roughy 12 stories correct?" An attendent nodded, "With that in mind, floor 2 through 6 should suffice.Floor 4 through 6, set up defences for the elevator. And above that, do your best to protect every elevator floor."
Some agreed and started to help instantly, some had to think, and a few were against me taking control. "Listen, I know how these things are, you aren't safe if you stay down here. They will shatter that in mere seconds. And I'm not exaggerating anything, not a thing in what I have said have I exaggerated." A few of the ones thinking began to help the rest still continued to think and some were taking the other side. Seconds later, glass crashed and was sent flying. A man got up, covered in blood, bite marks barely visible on his body. Behind him crawling through the glass were a few more people also covered in blood and with shallow bite marks. "Why! The windows!" One of the attendants shouted.
The Discords had arrived, and we weren't ready in the slightest. "To the elevators!" I screamed, and we all sprinted to escape our impending doom.
