As he landed, Joseph said, "I'm getting better. You were able to only just beat me. And you got a headstart."
Helen rolled her eyes, "And you very conveniently forgot that she is injured and was flying three people."
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." Joseph said as he pointed to another door just six or seven stairs down, "That's my room."
It was then that Aria and Jacob looked down along with Joseph and saw that most of the doors in the tower had opened and students were peering out from them.
The doors and wall was on the left side whereas on the right side was a stone railing so that if you tried, and if there was light enough, you could see the spiralling stairs leading all the way down to the foot of the tower.
Aria and Joseph turned towards the door to Aria's room as if nothing had happened, but Jacob looked very uncomfortable due to all those people staring.
Aria opened the room and went in. As she entered, Aria was impressed.
She had been a princess once and lived in a beautiful castle, so it hard to impress her. But nevertheless, she was, after seeing this room.
It was a beautiful circular room that had floor to ceiling windows on the outer semi-circle, opposite the door.
There was a nice study table, a cupboard for clothes, a whole shelf that was taller than Aria. Aria could only guess that it was for keeping books. The bed in the middle of the room was big and brought back memories, it was exactly like the one she had in the castle. It looked like the bed of a princess with a beautiful arch above it and white net curtains hung from it.
Next, Aria's eyes went upto the ceiling. It was not the ceiling you would have expected, it was not flat, rather it was a huge arch that met in the middle and a beautiful chandelier hung from it. Joseph tapped into Aria's shoulder and asked, "Beautiful, isn't it?"
Aria nodded and said, "Just one question?"
Joseph raised an eyebrow. "Did you sleep in this princess bed too?"
Helen burst out laughing upon hearing this, and Jacob chuckled.
He had been describing the whole room to Helen, while she felt around every surface.
Joseph scowled, "Of course not. It was a prince bed then. They have slightly changed the decorations."
Aria laughed and pointed to a door on one side, "I suppose that is the bathroom."
Joseph nodded and said, "It's really great. With a big enough bathtub for three people and scented soaps and shampoos."
Aria went towards the door, just where the windows ended on that side, were two big swords in their sheaths and a bow and a quiver of arrows beside them. "For practice?" Aria asked and Joseph nodded.
He looked at the bookshelf on the opposite side of the room from thr swords and said, "I think the thing that will be the most useful for you will be this."
Aria laughed and added, "Don't count on it."
Jacob was done showing Helen around who was sitting on the bed. He picked up Aria's only bag and said, "Let's get you settled in."
